    We got the worst service in this location! The dirtiest car that we've ever rented in our whole life! The car full of dents and chips! Im pretty sure they even didnt clean it! The smell of cigarettes or any other type of drugs were inside! The car smelled very bad!!!! The customer service was beyond the worst! Two lady representatives were talking about their personal life/ problems non stop! Even one of them turned their chair to not get bothered! The other one was eating her snack! The man were trying to help us because the car wasnt ready and the Budget didnt have our rented car either! They gave us 7 seats but not what we chose! When i asked why the car isnt ready the lady was nervous and put her hand loudly on table and said its not us! Probably, She got offended that we stopped her long convo about whatever they were talking! They asked where is our destination and said go we'll call you! Ofcourse, we stayed and didnt leave! They told us to ask Enterprise! They know that Enterprise does the best job in SNA! They werent professional at all also the other lady said anyway you are going to have heavy traffic and you are not going to be on time! No worries! It was a real joke! The manager didnt show up and even didnt pick up the phone!

    Almost 0 coolant

    We were driving to Las Vegas when we realized the AC wasn't working--the car was unbearably hot, especially driving through the desert. But that wasn't the worst part. Partway through the drive, we got a low coolant warning, and when we pulled over to check, we found the coolant was almost completely gone. This was a nearly new car with only about 8,000 miles on it, which makes this even more shocking. We were stuck in the desert heat, unable to find coolant anywhere nearby, and couldn't wait in the sun for the car to cool down. We were forced to drive very slowly and carefully, worried the car might overheat at any moment. It was a physically and mentally exhausting experience--we were overheated, dehydrated, and stressed, all because the car wasn't properly maintained. And after all that, Avis still charged us for gas from SNA to Las Vegas, even though the car was clearly defective. That felt like a slap in the face. When we finally made it to Vegas late at night, we had to exchange the car. Despite better cars being available, we were given a Dodge with brakes that were incredibly hard to press--again, not safe. We had to go back the next day to switch cars yet again, and while the Kia we ended up with was finally drivable, it didn't have any windshield washer fluid. At that point, we were honestly just tired of dealing with the whole situation. This whole rental was a nightmare. It put our health, safety, and vacation at risk, and cost us a lot of time and stress.

    I wish I could give zero stars. Everyone at this location should be fired. They were incompetent, racist and bias. The car we received was disgusting and unsanitary.

    After several horrible experiences recently, we reserved with Budget. Don't let it fool you- preferred and fast real members means nothing. I feel badly for the people working because there are tons of customers and a shortage of staff both at the desk and in the prep area. Anyway, we approach the Budget window and it's lock and dark inside, with not even a sign on the windows. They combined all rentals for pickup at the Avis kiosk. Meaning twice the customers with few staff. In fact only TWO DESK PEOPLE?!?

    Santa Ana location do not pickup the phone, DON'T BOTHER CALLING!!! I paid for premium SUV (suburban or similar), gave me an old and damaged tire Expedition (refused to upgrade me to an Escalade), which I found after work. Call center cannot do anything to help, Santa Ana location cannot be reached, wasted hours on the phone and multiple trips for exchange and no one has any responsibility /accountability /adequate & urgent customer service for this matter (no one cares nor have ability to help on their computer to resolve and expedite the process. Return experience was worse, the clerk didn't say anything about returning at the original pickup time, so I had to spend hours again on the phone and at the counter regarding return grace time extension and leaving work during rush hours to return. Car looked like it was handed directly from the last driver, no cleaning done whatsoever. A complete nightmare of an experience!!!

While I was in Honolulu, I chose Budget by mistake. I ended up getting a sedan that had 80,000 miles on it with bad suspension. I was driving a boat on H-1, huge boat at it. After that delightful experience, I think twice. Here I am. Cali, high gas price, why don't I get a Tesla. Awesome idea but followed with lot of regrets. Got the Tesla. 1. Dirty car. Yes, sticky residue here and there. Looks like just vacuumed bit nothing was wiped. 2. Service due on lot of the required service. Yes, the dashboard said lot of the things hasn't been looked at. 3. Squeaky brakes or faulty with regenerative braking system. Wow. It was a noisy car. 4. No charge adapter. There was no adp adapter and I couldn't charge it at non Tesla station. What a hassle. At the end, I was able to charge at the Tesla Super Charge Station but waisted so much time trying to resolve it. Tesla and Budget had easy convenient billing. Didn't habe to download any apps. Reminder: think trice before selecting Budget.

After waiting for about 20 minutes, the agent cut off the line where we were to send the rest of us downstairs--to the actual budget center. It was pouring rain, so we had to walk across the street and take an elevator down. While we were at the center, the line was even longer than the one we were originally in. We waited another 30 minutes before being at the front of the line and there were only two workers. One of them decided to take off and not return leaving only one worker to man the center. By the time we were finally helped, it took an additional 15 minutes to get through the paperwork and grab our car. The car was a little bigger than I anticipated because they ran out of smaller options but it was a blessing in disguise for the rain. Thankfully it was clean and brand new. My only complaint was about the wait time but for the price I paid I couldn't complain much to begin with. Hopefully management reads this and add more workers to help out.

I…read morereserved online ~2 weeks in advance a Tesla Model Y using my AAA discount and received a confirmation number through text. Had some issues with looking up the reservation online afterwards, so I called their general Customer Service number to receive verbal confirmation that my reservation was in the system. Since my Hertz Gold membership wasn't linked to the reservation, the Customer Service rep cancelled my previous reservation and made the same one but with my membership linked. For pickup, I went straight to their Hertz Gold line downstairs in the rental parking lot. Our pickup was 6pm on a Friday night, but because of traffic getting in, we were there at 7:15. There were 2 people in line ahead of me, but the rep moved through them quickly only taking about 15 mins for both. The rep there was kind and they had the exact model of car I reserved and he outlined the same fees I had reserved it for also. I received the key at their key pick up, and was given the lane # the car was in. They didn't go through the current battery charge of the vehicle, or mark down any damages the vehicle currently had, so I made sure to take pictures of the current % charge and all around the car (especially since there was a scratch on the bumper already). At drop off on Sunday, I drove into their express drop off lanes, was told to leave the key in the car, and was just able to walk out. One of the representatives noted a scratch on the back of the car and asked if it was there when I received it. I told him yes and showed him the photo I took the day I picked it up. Received the final invoice a day after through my email. Overall, team here did a great job this weekend, so my concerns after reading some reviews didn't end up happening! I had a great experience. Everything went smoothly, my compliments to the team working this past weekend!!

Each time I tried to speak with someone directly, the call either went unanswered or felt like it was being disconnected. I understand places get busy, but not being able to reach anyone for simple rental information is unacceptable. Customer service matters, especially when people are relying on transportation. Based on this experience alone, I would rather take my business somewhere that actually makes customers feel valued. There needs to be better accountability for the level of service at this location.

This is what makes a car rental place stand out - their staff and the excellent service they provide. Needed a rental car for our LA/Disneyland trip. I booked through booking.com and got a good deal for 3 days. Upon arrival to SNA airport, instructions were to call Green Motion for shuttle pickup. Pickup area is at arrivals near banner 6. Dorothy picked us up and was very sweet! She gave recommendations and was very helpful on the 3 min ride across the street to Atrium hotel where Green Motion was located. She said the best gas station to fill up was at the nearby ARCO so it wasn't as expensive as the one next to the hotel. Checking in with Amir was very smooth and he gave us 10% off McDonald's coupons at the one near Disneyland. No issues with the Dodge Caravan. Checking out was also very smooth and they let us leave our luggage in the front desk while we ate lunch around the area. When we got dropped off, I accidentally left my phone in the shuttle and after calling Green Motion back, Amir actually came back to give it to me! Wow I was SO grateful to him for that.
