Wear it Well is a special place mainly for the women who run and work there. Located in the heart…read moreof downtown Bethesda, this store offers middle to high-end brands in casual and work lines. Plenty of Michael Stars, 525 America Sweaters, and some other more unusual very unique boutique lines. A small store with extremely well-selected inventory. But the highlight of Wear it Well, which I feel is best for women 30 and up, is the longtime owners and employees. I walked in today, told them I wanted to toss my wardrobe out the window, and they proceeded (not overselling, not oversolicitously) to help me come up with some great ideas, good combinations, and a host of things I wouldn't have picked out b/c I'm stuck in my own dull clothing groove. They really worked with me to ensure that I found some special things, and I don't think I'll toss the clothes I bought out the window with the others b/c they do push my proverbial envelope. That's what I needed. When the economy hits hard...and even when it doesn't...I make an extra effort to shop locally. Wear it Well is the kind of carefully merchandised, very well-run boutique that will earn your loyalty. Before you drive to the mall, walk down the street and visit these great gals. Watch out...they talked me into buying an absurdly expensive belt even though I don't wear belts. You know, I think it will become one of my favorite purchases ever! Plus, it's so pricey, I'm going to wear it to sleep every night no matter what.

I went with my best friend two times to help her select her wedding dress, and it was at this BHLDN…read more(Anthro Weddings) that she found her perfect match! Tears were shed, a veil was donned, bubbly was had, and the whole experience was perfect. Having been to a bunch of bridal shops with her and previously for myself and other friends, I can also affirm that the value of these dresses is unbelievably good. I was shocked when I saw the price tag of her top two contenders, and I mean shocked in a good way! Her Anthropologie dress cost far less than my own wedding gown that was purchased nearly 10 years ago. And it is BEAUTIFUL with the quality that she deserves. Later I may update this review to explain the name of her dress, which turned out to be special as well. In sum: would recommend this experience and location, which is within what I call "the mecca" aka the most delightfully large Anthropologie in downtown Bethesda! Note on parking: easy as pie parking in the lot just down the block. You pay with parking number in a machine or with the ParkMobile app. No need to search for street parking!

One I was surprised by how much I liked it, along with a belt she selected. I recommend you check them out when considering wedding dresses. The price of the dresses are fairly reasonable mostly under $2500. All of the dresses I was considering are under $2k.

I like to give unique gifts and The Blue House caught my eye. They had a lot of beach style gifts…read morein the window. But, as you walk in the space is filled with many assorted gift sections. There are gifts for children and babies. There is a section for beautiful dining China and cook books. I was fascinated by their pillow section. There were pillows for each state embroidered with things that are special to each place. The DC pillow had cute Panda bears on it. It was just beautiful. Service was excellent. I am sorry, I forgot the sales ladies name but she was so nice and helpful. I really appreciated her assistance. The prices were high, but again you are paying for the unique crafted gifts. The pillow I wanted was $200. That was out of my budget. But, I am sure someone will love it. I will definitely return, because they had a gift selection for people who play mah Jong. I am sure my friends would really enjoy one of their gift items. I am glad I stopped by.

Thinking I might find something funny... nope. Just magnets that wish the sitting President dead. You should be ashamed of yourself as a business. I will never give a dime to this store.

Go somewhere else. Anywhere else…read more They sold me a defenctive inner tube. Not their fault. When I brought it back, they just looked at the box and said over and over that it was the right size. I agreed that it was the right size, but pointed out, repeatedly, that the actual tube in the box was defective. They didn't even look at it. Finally, they told me that they would prove it to me by watching me install the defective tube myself, with a single tire lever they handed to me, while they stood around and watched. After I started to install the tube, which would not fit -- because it was defective -- they told me I was doing it wrong (but did not tell me what they thought I was doing wrong). I left the store. I went to Tarrapin -- a competitor nearby. They sold me an inner tube for $2 less. I installed it myself (at home -- I don't really need an audience for that) in about 2 minutes. I just went on a wonderful ride. No problems. There's more. Instead of writing a negative review, I emailed the owner in hopes of an apology and maybe an explanation. That did not happen. A co-owner emailed back and said that he had been one of the people at the shop and they were "only trying to help." The kicker from him: "to be very clear: neither my staff nor I called you names, insulted you, or attacked you in any way." Nobody accused this guy of committing any crimes, but apparently his view is that customer service is successful so long neither he nor his staff attacks a customer. These guys are just obnoxious jerks. There's no need to give them your money.

I had a very disappointing experience with this bike shop…read more. I originally chose this location because it's close to Walter Reed, where I work. I was excited to pick up my new bike, but I never received a call that it was ready, so I had to come in and check myself. I asked if I could take the bike as-is and have a mechanic assemble it elsewhere, but they refused and said it had to be assembled by them or I'd be responsible for any issues. Since assembly was included, I agreed to wait. At pickup, the experience got worse. The owner made fun of me for not getting clipless pedals for it. He said people will make fun of me having this bike with a flat pedal. I'm a beginner rider and not comfortable using clipless yet, especially since they require dedicated shoes. That kind of attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional. There was also confusion with my order. I had purchased additional items through Specialized, but the shop didn't seem aware and substituted some parts with their own inventory without clearly communicating it. During the fitting, the owner made a comment about me wearing Yeezy slides while adjusting my saddle height, which again felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Once I finally rode the bike, I started noticing multiple issues: The front wheel was not aligned properly The bar tape was installed incorrectly (wrapped backwards) The brake hoses were cut too short and routed too tightly around the stem Because of the brake hose issue, when I later changed handlebars, I had to pay extra for a new hose. These are basic assembly details that should have been done correctly the first time. When I brought these issues up, the shop dismissed my concerns and claimed I assembled the bike myself, which is not true. I gave them another chance with a second bike, but the result was similar. The drivetrain was so poorly set up that we initially thought something was broken. After multiple visits where they couldn't fix it, we ended up taking the bike to Trek another shop in Rockville, where it was resolved quickly with proper tuning. Overall, this shop showed a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and subpar assembly work (probably their new tech). I would not recommend them.
