So when we planned a mini-reno of the kitchen, I called him again, because I knew he could remove the hanging soffit and repair the ceiling properly. The ceiling isn't popcorn, but it IS textured and Dan worked his magic and it looks perfect. I have no idea how he does this. Before/after photos below. He charged me more than the quote, but I figured it had taken more time. He said he would send a receipt but never did. Home Depot contacted the owner and gave him 24 hours to get in touch with me. He never did. The icemaker won't stop making ice, so now I don't know if the problem is the new icemaker or if it was installed incorrectly. Apparently, the owner has still not responded to Home Depot.

John then replied in a rude and dismissive tone they only do estimates on Tuesdays. I'm not sure if they really are that inflexible for appointments, and deciding it wasn't worth my time arguing with someone with his poor attitude to determine if they really are so busy they can only set aside one day a week for estimates - not to mention ticking off potential customers.
