I had Wanda do my pedi and mani for my wedding, she was quiet and her English wasn't so great, but she was super nice. I had some difficulties communicating with her what I wanted and Monica, the other woman working on my husband's pedi and mani ended up translating for me to Wanda. She did a decent job on my feet but she needed to put acrylic tips on my thumbs. She ended up putting the acrylic on the entire thumb nail. Monica told her after she had it on that she was only supposed to do the tip, but it was done and she told her it was way too thick. I thought it was abundantly thick but I have never had acrylics so I wasn't sure since the acrylics I have seen on other people over the years tended to look thick. My
Mother-in-law gets them done every few weeks. Wanda wasn't able to fill it down enough to make it look less fake and not possibly file down my natural nail in the process. I am hopeful that my updo for the day turns out a bit pulled together than the trial updo, but I feel I am in better hands with Monica than with Wanda.
Monica did my husband's mani and pedi and buffed his nails on his hands and feet. They looked good. We both agreed that Monica should have worked on my hands and feet since she was the more experienced of the two.
Monica started my updo and had it in curls and pinned down to make it wavy too while she started on my makeup. I only asked that she do a light and not too thick Smokey eye Andrew let her do her thing on everything else. She did a great job of my updo and it only took 70 pins and 3 small braids.
Wanda did my niece's curls and part updo and shampooed and styled my mother's hair and did her makeup too. Mom just needed a bit if mascara and more lip color as she looked too pale and had nothing on her eyes when she was initially done. read more
