This is a small family-run Lebanese restaurant tucked away in the heart of the old town. The interior has the look of an old fashioned cafe, of the type you still find in France, and where the family happily hang out while you eat your meal, watching TV.
The fare is familiar Eastern Mediterranean: kebabs, stuffed vine leaves, lots of dips (houmous, baba ganoush, that sort of thing), all eaten with copious quantities of pitta bread. The menu is not that extensive, but you can put together a platter by choosing your own items, or there are some set meals, including a vegetarian platter. There is a limited wine list (including Lebanese wine) and they stock Spanish bottled beers, too.
Prices offer very good value: a meal for two with wine, with extra pitta bread including mint tea and after adding a 10% tip came to under EUR30.
It is popular with the local Arabic community, especially at week-ends, which is as good a recommendation as any. The staff are friendly (when I complimented the houmous, I was given an extra portion) and speak a little English. read more
