We ended our stay in Calafell with a meal at L'Espineta. It's definitely one of the better restaurants we tried.
The food is very good. The highlights were the fig carpaccio which came with crisp pieces of salty jamon and the mussels with chorizo. We also loved the bread which was drizzled in olive oil.
The timbale was very tomato heavy and the deep fried calamari had too much batter and a cloyingly sweet sauce. The croquettes were pretty but not memorable.
First dinner service staters at 20:30 and it's a lovely environment right in front of the sea. The service was very good as well.
Definitely recommend! read more
