This place is great. We've been here multiple times now, and they really do a great job. Their Filipino food has both the traditional ways of being served, as well as other options on their menu that make dishes have a twist.
For instance, palabok can be served normally or in a way that is social media worthy, with crispy noodles that are tall and then the peanut sauce being drenched upon serving.
We've had a number of dishes throughout the menu, and haven't been disappointed. Granted, we were more for the traditional dishes and flavors, and they were all great. The classics side of the menu is absolute fire. From the vegetable-centered dishes to the hearty dishes full of meat, we've really enjoyed the choices we happened to make while eating here.
Their drinks are good too. I'd suggest getting the bottomless iced tea, because it is so, so, so refreshing on a hot and humid day. It is an absolute gift of God to have that on those tropical days. Not only is it bottomless, it is refreshing and actually delicious.
I really would recommend the Gising Gising. Each time, I've gotten it, I've contemplated ordering another round. The portions here are generous, especially the large. The first time we were here, we expected smaller Filipino-sized portions, but we were surprised when they came. We were lucky that we were able to finish what we ordered and that it even fit on the table.
If they keep it this way, I'll absolutely keep coming back when back in Cubao. read more
