We posted a review recently but want to update our neighborhood response to the efforts of Management Services and the City of New Bern. Frustration had reached a high and fed up with the deterioration of our neighborhood we got the City folks involved in our clean up effort. We also gave Management Services an opportunity to solve the problems their tenants were creating with garbage piles and trash/recycle bins not being returned to units after they were emptied. We're pleased to say that with everyone working together, the majority of the problems have been rectified. The City sent out letters reminding people of proper trash handling and the necessity of getting trash and recycle bins out of the roadway when emptied. Management Services has someone in the area regularly keeping an eye on things. Our neighborhood is looking so much better. We still have a few people who just don't get it, but we now have confidence that Management Services will continue to educate their tenants and that the City Solid Waste Manager, David Cox will be keeping an eye on our neighborhood. Update! The OWNER of the company commented on my post, not sure if others can read it but I will attach screen shots if I can. She basically stated that she can't prove how many times I tried to call the company with no response. Hinting that I'm lying about how many times I tried to contact them. I can prove it. I have my phone records. She tried saying that we didn't give them an opportunity to fix anything. When I have records going back two full weeks where I addressed the agent multiple times on the house being cleaned and I have all of her promises stating when the house was supposed to be cleaned and when she stated that it was. I was out of town for 3 days in order to attend my grandmothers funeral. Of whom I spent the last 10 years of my life taking care of. Management services saw that as an opportunity to slack off. Obviously. Your company is a disgrace and an embarrassment. I also like how you neglected to comment on how you didn't refund me the full amount of money that I was owned. But that's okay because I filed a claim with my bank and was rewarded the full amount back. And I especially like how you're saying the owner sympathized with our "story" and that's why we got our money back. You and I both know that we had a lawyer and we were absolutely going to sue you for our money back and have your company put on the Cherry Point blacklist (meaning no service members would be allowed to ever use your service again). And we both know that marines families provide you most of your business if not all of it. HORRIBLE experience! I called the company at least TEN times to just get someone to show me the house! I left message after message then finally contacted the havelock office to see if they could help me. They were able to get into contact with Brandie Busser from the new bern office and had her call me back. SHE picked the showing time and she was even late to her own showing. I tried calling the office to make sure she was still coming but again no answer. It's like pulling teeth to get someone on the phone there. Then when we looked at the house, we made note of the things that we didn't like and wanted fixed and Brandie said "fill out the applications, but don't put the deposit down until everything is cleaned. " so that's what we did. WEEKS passed and we kept driving past the house and it still wasn't pressure washed on the outside nor was it cleaned on the inside like she promised. She also kept assuring me that everything was cleaned when it really wasn't. She finally sent me a contingency form so we could put the deposit down and make sure the house would still be cleaned before we moved in. I put the deposit down and didn't hear another word from brandie. No response to calls or emails. I finally went to the new bern office to pick up the keys and she was EXTREMELY rude to me. She said "uh do we even have an appointment today?!" Literally all I wanted to do was move into my new house. I filled out all necessary paperwork and paid way more money than I should have...but yet she was still giving me a hard time. Finally I got the keys and before I left I made sure to ask about the house being cleaned and the grass being mowed. She said absolutely! Everything has been done. Guess what?! I went directly there with my mom and brother to move some stuff in, the lawn hadn't been mowed in at least a month, AND the house was dirtier than when we walked through the first time! Someone actually pooped in one toilet and left it with a dirty plunger on top of the toilet and then they peed in the other toilet. How disgusting! I immediately called and emailed brandie and got NO RESPONSE. She eventually got back to me almost an hour later and tried saying there's no way that could have happened. Yeah, well it did. And it was disgusting. After all the problems my husband and I have had with this company before even moving in, we decided to cut ties and ask for our money back. Brandie basically laughed in our faces and said we weren't getting our money back. We have already contacted base legal and have found we are well within our rights to ask for our money back and receive it. They told us we would have a great lawsuit. Is this seriously how you treat your military members? The people who FIGHT for YOUR freedom?! This company makes me sick to my stomach. For the record, we loved the house. We just didn't appreciate how we were treated by the company. read more

Been to the office three times and asked them to fill in hole in the middle of the road as you come into Falcon Bridge and now its been over two months and still they have not sent anyone out to take care of this so thought i'd try and write a negative review and see if that will get them to do their job. It's like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. They are such a Pathetic HOA and i can't wait to move out of here. Been here for 7 years now and everytime i've been there had bad experiences. I have dealt with this company for rentals and now I have them for an HOA association. For rentals they would not let me have my dog because he "looked" like a pit bull, when he is not. And he was 35 lbs so definitely not a pit bull. Now it is for HOA covenants and ordnance's of not allowing anyone-other than a single family under a household, just after a major hurricane mind you, so they have no where to go and have been staying no longer than 5-6 months. Trying to find a location to stay in their price range. But due to the hurricane cannot until something is available. But I am definitely not the only house in the neighborhood with more than one family under a household. I have been bothered and bullied in this neighborhood since I have moved in because of putting up a privacy fence and because of a box in my front yard waiting for pick up and a couple bushes that were not trimmed to their liking and neighbors who are on the committee coming into my yard to determine what is wrong with my house to complain to the HOA. So if you want to rent or buy anywhere, find a different management service or HOA. Because you won't be able to call any place a home with this company. read more

i think this managementservice is very good for renting homes. we are very pleased with them for many many years. they are professionals.have ac good and knowledgeable stuff . took care of all our needs in finding people to rent our home. also good at finding people who would do cleaning fixing problems and preparing the house for new people to come when leases end. read more
