Neck issues are especially tricky, as working in an office environment can really stiffen up your back and neck since you're in the same position for a long time. Susanna is great at her craft, as I found I was able to finally have some relief and get my range of motion back. Will be going back here as long as I need to. The main con is some RMTs get booked up very fast, or their availability is limited, so you either have to book months in advance or take a day off to be able to get an appointment. Parking is a bit tricky here too, as it's in Kits and there's only side-street parking, which is full most of the time.

Upon entering, I was greeted by Jamie who I could tell right away was really keen and kind. My consultation was thorough and I felt listened to. Jamie warned me of her strong pressure, but it was exactly what I have been searching for in an RMT. She is so knowledgeable and really kneaded through my super tight spots. A huge bonus was the great music she played throughout our session. I would recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a change of scenery (seriously, this space is amazing) and who's not afraid of a strong hand. Jamie is the SUPER!

The classes are a hit or miss for me - I'd say some classes are really good and usually full (empower flow and yogalates) while some of the other classes are not as enjoyable and a bit slow. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I reccomend popping in during their $15 Happy hour class deals, since they will no longer be on Classpass in May.

So here goes. I am a plus sized woman. Just a fact. Happily, it's pretty rare that I feel that my size impacts the way I'm treated. In fact, the only time in recent memory that I've felt my size impacted how I was treated by someone was with the massage I received at Qi. Now, this is not a statement against everyone that works there. In fact, I had a great massage many years ago (I even asked the team if they could help me track her down, to no response), but I couldn't tell you who it was with. This time however, I selected to have an appointment with Jorg. He specializes in joint, posture & movement issues, and with chronic problems I have stemming from a past broken leg and multiple related surgeries, he seemed like the perfect match. Only, that hope was one way, as I got the distinct impression from the moment he walked in the room that I wasn't his "ideal" client. What followed was a 50 minute massage (in a 60 minute timeslot), zero check-ins about pressure or anything at all, and about the only words he said to me felt like a complete slap in the face. At the end of our time, he told me bluntly that he specializes in *sports* massage, and that the next time I come in? I should book with someone else. Message received loud and clear, Jorg. I'm truly sorry that in your world, only the fit and slender qualify for your help.

I am a regular massage person, because I seem to constantly be falling apart, and this is my go to place now. Justin I have seen for a few years as he was at my previous clinic. This guy knows his stuff and really tries to cover all the angles of what might be causing your issues. He thinks outside the box and offers up useful referrals to other health professionals if he thinks there is a change you can further improve your pain/issues. Justin is also training to become an Osteopath and so he has even more in-depth knowledge of the human body and another way to look at things. Muscles, bones, organs.... It turns out it's all connected!! Lol I was impressed from the beginning with this guys smarts but also with his bed side manner. Very professional, but also knows you are there to relax. By this I mean things like; an eye mask when you are on your back with the lights pleasantly dimmed, a diffuser running to keep the room smelling nice, sometimes he will even wave some essential oils over your face as a finishing touch! Classy!! Justin is an all around great guy who will listen to you and work hard to help you out. Kathleen is a new therapist for me. I have only seen her a couple times and I am very happy with her care. She is excellent with lower body massage. I have had many massages in the past where I specify glute discomfort/pain or tight hamstrings and I leave feeling like they weren't massaged at all. Kathleen my legs are are looking forward to their next visit!!! I actually felt looser in my quads when I left and boy did that make my IMS appointment less painful the next day!! Kathleen also had some special unique skills herself. Ask her about the suction cups lol! Also, she will offer up some exercises to help you with muscle imbalances if she has an idea of what may be cause of the pain. Excellent staff hands down! Clean and nice little massage room. Blue cross/Extended benefit ready. Hate sending in receipts. Good location. Lots of bike parking. Street parking for you need it. Starbucks across the street too!

I was unable to attend that appointment and did write in my response that I will keep my original appointment time. No further emails were sent to me to confirm my claim. Absolutely, no apologies coming from Justin. Justin insists I did not make an appointment. So, get lost and do not come back! Really, Justin told me to go somewhere else. His choice, his clinic. No social graces, whatsoever. He may be good at his profession. I will never know. However, as for the person that he exemplified to me during this regrettable exchange of views, he failed as a courteous and considerate human being. My first loss, is my best loss.

Dara and Channy were absolutely professional and fantastic. I had a lot of muscle soreness from exercise recently and the massage was so therapeutic I felt so much better after the treatment. With the massage I specifically requested treatment at the neck, shoulders and the legs. She was able to apply the perfect amount of pressure. Her technique with stretching my soft tissues were also very much appreciated. I have had tons of massage therapies before, including multiple ones recently in Bali, but today's massage ranks one of the best ones I have ever had.
