Walking in, the space is mostly kitchen, with no seating (under COVID conditions). The previous (burger) restaurant that occupied this space before had only two tables of two and a counter in the window. There are currently two tables of four set up under a tent in the parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. These tables could have been cleaner. In addition to TV screens hanging from the ceiling, there is a large menu on the wall with (I'm guessing) their six most popular items. I ordered the Tandoori(?) chicken from this menu. It included two leg quarters, salad, rice, naan, and a drink for only $9.99. Not a bad deal. It took about fifteen minutes for my order to be completed. A few other customers were ahead of me, also waiting, some impatiently. Once ready, I sat at one of the tables out front. Hmmm, no napkins? Only a spoon to eat with? Where's my drink? Once I got that sorted, it was time to eat. The chicken was a tad on the dry side and the flavours a bit understated. The salad consisted of lettuce, cucumbers, and red onions. The naan was large and fresh. The rice was plentiful, nice and fluffy. I'm used to bolder flavours in Indian cuisine. Overall, it was just okay. I'm used to bold flavours but I found the chicken a bit underseasoned. While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't as good as I was anticipating. Hopefully, these issues will be sorted out in time. PS - The fly strips hanging in the restaurant were a bit of a turn off.

We ordered Special Mutton Karahi, Khoye Wali Channy, Veal Pullao, butter naan and garlic naan, as well as some mint chutney. 35 minutes later, I was picking up my food! The friendly hostesses assured me that it was ready, and I was really pleased to see how welcoming and spacious the restaurant was, with a covered, outdoor eating area as well. I filed this away for a future visit. My husband and I enjoyed all the dishes! The lamb karahi, which we ordered at a medium spicy level, packed an initially subtle, but gradually building heat. Medium was the right level for us, as we could still enjoy the very flavorful karahi without being overwhelmed by spice. The lamb was very tender and beautifully complimented by the savory karahi sauce. This was my first time trying Khoye Wali Channy, and the menu describes it as "a taste of Lahore's rich culinary heritage." Sure enough, when I tried to look up recipes for it, they were all in Urdu!! Anyway, the praise is certainly warranted: it is a fragrant and flavorful, with a mild heat. The flavourful preparation mitigated the basic bland, starchy flavor of chickpeas, resulting in a crave-worthy and filling chickpea dish. The veal pulao was delicious, with expertly prepared, aromatic rice and beautifully tender veal. Both my husband and I are eager to try some of the other menu choices. I would like to try the Makhmali Chicken Karahi, and also to eat in the restaurant itself. Amidst some stiff competition, with many excellent Pakistani restaurants in Pickering, Butt Karahi really shines.

Regular tables, comfy casual chairs or hightop benches in little alcoves. There are TV's everywhere so I imagine this place is quite active during game nights and other events. We came early evening during Ramadan so I'm sure it was the calm before the storm (so-to-speak). We were greeted at the door and offered anywhere we wanted to sit in the restaurant. They don't have paper menus so you'll have to either scan a QR code or go to their website to look at the menu. Our server walked us through some of the dishes and explained how some of the dishes were presented. We opted for the rice dish, Yakhni Pulao and garlic naan with butter. The dish was big enough to share between two to three people and I would have only needed to order one naan as they're quite large. The veal was so tender and delicious and the rice was extremely flavourful. The dish over all had the slightest amount of heat. Nothing overwhelming, just a nice slight warmth. If you don't like spice, I'm sure it's something they could leave out. The naan was incredibly delicious and I would definitely order the garlic one again. I was really impressed with restaurant. From the staff to the layout to the food, everything was excellent and I left (before the rush that was sure to come after sundown), with a very happy belly! I will definitely be back.

I love this cuisine, with its rich flavours so I just had to try this new place. I ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Dum Biryani, two fairly basic dishes but I enjoy them and use them to "judge" this cuisine. The butter chicken was flavourful but I found the chicken itself a bit on the dry side. I forgot to order naan to go with it. Darn! The chicken dum biryani wasn't bad, not fantastic but not bad. It was definitely enough for two people and had three pieces of chicken buried in the fluffy rice. I was surprised at how many people (more than half filled) they had in the dining room as I ordered for takeout but I got through fairly quickly. The service was friendly and efficient. Prices were reasonable and kinda in the middle, compared to similar restaurants in the area. I'll be back to try more of their food. Rating: 3.5/5.0

The food is certainly one of the best I've had, but the price tag is also higher than other Pakistani restaurants I've visited. The KBoys chicken Karahi is just an explosion of flavours, especially if you like your food spicy and hot. It's somehow well-balanced and nuanced and that's impressive given how flavourful it is. I didn't like the Namak Mandi Goat as much, so I'd try a different goat dish next time. We also ordered two of the paneer's (can't remember which ones), which were pretty good, but pale in comparison to the fresh naan's that's served on a rack - delicioso! Lastly, the masala chai is one of the best I've had (may not mean much as a chai newbie lol). I found it to be perfectly balanced in flavour and aroma. The restaurant has an interesting decor that's appropriate for some parties (birthday, graduation), and the overall ambiance and service were both pleasant. Our party had a great time! Looking forward to trying out their other locations in the GTA.

There's really no comparison. The food on the buffet was not very fresh, as I discovered too late. The flavours in some of the dishes was good but the fried or grilled dishes were kinda dry and some of the stewed dishes had been out too long without being stirred. You could see a distinct difference after stirring it up. The butter chicken was perhaps the best dish. Some of the meat dishes seemed to fare better than the veggie dishes. The salad bar was no better. Some of the containers were practically empty the entire time I was there, therefore I really didn't have much veggies. The best part of my meal was the hot naan, made to order. As far as the crowd goes, there was one large table of ladies when I arrived. They looked like they were celebrating something. Two families of four came in, and another large table of maybe 16 people came in but didn't stay. Hmmm, maybe they looked at the buffet tables. As far as service goes, I was pretty much left on my own. My first plate (empty) was still on the table when I finished eating. I was offered the naan halfway through my first plate. At the end, it became obvious that nobody was bringing a bill so I got up, paid, and left. That's too bad. Although it's been a while since I've been to their Scarborough location. the service and food are much better. And much cheaper too! At just over $21, including tax, this was not a good deal.

As soon as we walked in, I noticed that the entire restaurant was a ghost town, there was absolutely no customers on a Monday night. I decided to try the Beef Seekh Kebab Plate, and I'm so glad I did! I also ordered it to be spicy. This dish came with two large kebabs, rice, a small salad and naan for $11.50 In our group of 8, about half of the people got a kebab dish, while the other ordered butter chicken. Every dish came with one naan which they served in baskets all together. Usually when you go to a South Asian restaurant, the food is ordered and served family style. In this case it wasn't, every entry was served to each individual. I was also able to try the butter chicken and the Reshami Kebab. The butter chicken was really tasty! Something I personally look for in a butter chicken is if the gravy is not sweet. A lot of restaurants serve it with a sweeter gravy, but thankfully this wasn't the case here. The Reshami Kebab was ground Chicken based with a strong flavour of coriander. It was good, but a tad bit dry, but that may be because chicken doesn't have as much fat in it to seal in the flavour Overall, I had a pretty good experience and I might come back for the Seekh Kebab because it's a good option for takeout if you're in the area. I wouldn't recommend dining in here, as the service is VERY slow and the restaurant is often empty. They also only have paper takeout menus for dine in, which they ask for back which was a bit strange to me.
