Our help fell through on 7am Sunday morning and we knew we needed extra hands especially for the heavy stuff. Alex, hears us out, of course already booked with repeat clients and if you saw him/them move you would completely understand why. But he tells us if we can wait for him to finish his 2 moves, him and a friend will come help us out around 2 something. Ok. So we do what we can until they arrive. 2:30pm comes and to his word, Alex and Hugo show up. So Nice- and think about it- up early, 2 moves, end of July almost 100 degrees, with crazy humidity- and they were NICE! AND Showed up ready to get going! They wasted no time! Immediately they assessed the state of things with us, asked all the right questions and got right to work. I mean this when I say it, you get your money's worth & more! They can definitely charge more but I'm grateful they charged fair. They are quick, clean, skilled & professional as they worked together in such a fluid impressive way. They were PATIENT as I made requests and gave directions. They were kind, understanding, funny and compassionate. Easy to get ahold of and responsive. When I needed to know someone had our back, he answered texts in real time giving us the peace mind that we needed. Don't use Daley Moving & Storage of Torrington Connecticut…read more We moved to Florida one year ago in October 2020 and used Daley Moving & Storage to move us out of our home and put our furniture and belongings into their storage facility while we looked for a permanent home in Florida. We asked Daley if they shipped to Florida, and they told us they make frequent trips. Six months later we bought a permanent home in Florida and contacted Daley to have our belongings shipped down. They initially told us that they don't deliver much to Florida anymore because "no one is moving to Florida". After repeated calls, they finally agreed to ship our furniture and belongings down in several weeks. We were told that payment had to be made prior to the move, so we paid them in full at that time. When the truck finally arrived several weeks later in June 2021, approximately 1/3 of our furniture and belongings were missing. I called Daley the next day and was essentially told that I was a liar. I continued to call and finally reached someone who agreed to look in the warehouse. Lo and behold, they found that the movers in October had put some our items into an unmarked storage vault. Again, after several additional phone calls, Daley agreed to bring them down. At the end of another month, July 2021, the truck arrived with some, but not all, of our things. We are still missing pictures, most of our kitchen supplies, and family heirlooms that are irreplaceable. I have continued to call and write to Daley over the course of the last year to request that our belongings be returned to us. I wrote to Gina, the president of the company, on August 27,2021, at her home address, to request that our things be returned. She responded by email on September 20 stating that she would get back to us within a few days. She did not. I emailed her on October 11th and November 1st but did not receive a response. I emailed on November 3 with a suggested review and received a response informing me I would "absolutely" hear from Gina or a Krystle by the end of the day on November 5th. At that time Krystal told us our missing items were delivered by mistake to someone else. Krystal said and they would pick them up around Thanksgiving and arrange to deliver to us. Repeated calls, emails and letters go unanswered and we have not received our possessions. Daley has no integrity. To date, we have spent over $1,500 to replace items that were not shipped down when they were supposed to be as well as items that have not been shipped down at all. If there was a rating of negative stars that we could assign to Daley, we would do so. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY!
