A Taste of Hallandale Beach Florida…read more My wife and I were visiting my brother in Hollywood, Florida, all the way from California. Since we had only a short time there, we wanted to experience as much of the local food culture as possible. As we met and talked with locals, one place kept coming up: Fresh and Wild. So, naturally, we had to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a gentleman who I believe was the owner. We then met the chef, a young woman who clearly knows her way around the kitchen, and her brother, who seemed to be the true "Jack of all trades," making sure everything was running smoothly. The chef took our order: Peruvian fish, black beans and rice, along with a sushi roll. And let me tell you... WOW! The food was sooooo good fresh, flavorful and absolutely delicious. My wife and I literally sat there shaking our heads in amazement at how good everything was. To the entire Fresh and Wild family, thank you for making two visitors from California feel right at home while serving up some incredible food. Your hospitality and the love you put into what you do definitely didn't go unnoticed. If you're in Hallandale Beach area do yourself a favor and check out Fresh and Wild. You won't be disappointed!

First time eating seafood boil ever, it was a hit! The food was very fresh and delicious,…read moreespecially the sausage was very fresh! Everything tasted really good, EXTREMELY flavorful! The shrimps were still covered in their hard shells but after peeling them off, my outdoor cats enjoyed crunching on them. It comes with a mix of Pink sausage slices, mussels cooked in their shells, shrimp and small potatoes soaking in Red, delicious spicy garlic ...flavored liquid for dipping! Extra delicious! I only ate about a quarter of it and gave the rest of it to a friend because it was too much cholesterol for me lol! I've never eaten from here before and I definitely recommend it! The seafood boil from here is definitely very good!

Our family of eight visited this establishment recently while on vacation. As soon as we walked in,…read morewe saw a huge sign stating that, "20% Gratuity/service charge will be added to every check. Absolutely NO worries. We've been in the local area visiting for three days and that's the standard here. Absolutely ZERO worries. We were just hungry and ready to eat. We were greeted by a young Asian man who appeared to be the hostess. He reiterated the 20% charge as he escorted us to our seats. Again, we were not concerned. When we requested to keep our tables arranged in a specific way (apart) to accommodate an accessibility (ADA) requirement for two of our family members, the host/server became visibly annoyed and made a rude comment about us being "difficult." (Note: The tables were already apart and he was trying to push them together.) He walked off as if he was annoyed. He then brought over a manager who immediately accused us of having an issue with the 20% gratuity and questioned whether we could read the sign. We were completely baffled by this hostile and condescending reaction. Despite clarifying that the request was solely about physical accommodation and that we had no issue with the bill or tip, the staff, especially the manager, remained dismissive and disrespectful. Refusing to tolerate such humiliation, we walked out and dined at The Crab Boil instead, where the food and service were exceptional. We will not be returning to a business that treats paying customers with such prejudice and disrespect.

Everything came out nicely prepared hot, and it was definitely a seafood experience worth having. A special shout-out to our server, **Joshua**! He was absolutely amazing friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire visit. It was my son birthday and we didn't have to cut the cake and Joshua went out his way to to run to family dollar and brought one please a cake topper and used his own money and that was so nice of him to do so. Joshua personality and excellent customer service truly stood out and made our experience even better. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Great food + great service = a great experience! If you visit Mr. Q, definitely ask for **Joshua**. He deserves to be recognized for the wonderful service he provides!

We came here for an appetizer/afternoon snack as I'd read on Yelp that they had chargrilled oysters…read moreand that appealed. The restaurant is on the east side of 441 just south of Sheridan street. We came from the east and made a u turn at 441 and entered the parking lot through the Mobil gas station. Parking is at a premium here as there's a Family Dollar store and a Sedano's supermarket in the same strip. They specialize in seafood boils. On the window outside they were advertising chargrilled oysters for a $1 each. Dine in only. Woohoo. My husband and I each ordered a dozen oysters and one side of potatoes. The chargrilled oysters were great. Dowsed in garlic butter, and served hot, they actually tasted chargrilled. They came with lemon wedges and a few slices of bread to sop up the oyster flavored butter. The side of potatoes were three small red bliss potatoes that had been steamed. They were plain -- no seasoning --but that was okay as I also dipped them in the leftover garlicky butter. Two things I didn't particularly care for were 1. that they served plastic ware to eat the oysters. And 2. They automatically include a gratuity on the bill (but they said so up front). To sum up: Bottom line -- liked the oysters (especially for $1 each) but didn't like having to use the plastic forks.
