Terrific family owned and operated Italian restaurant! Feels very authentic with an inviting atmosphere. The service from the bartender whose name I forget was very cordial and sincere. The food is classic Italian, we had the carbonara, amitriciana, Caesar salad, and veal Parmesan. Everything was great. You could tell the Caesar salad dressing is made in house. The pastas are freshly prepared, carbonara is classic without cream, the veal Parmesan was great and reasonably priced at $41, unlike some other local joints that charge over 80 bucks for the same dish and is not nearly as good! Definitely looking forward to going back and trying out some of their other dishes
We live in Tucson, but we like to come here when we are in town. Today we came back for brunch/breakfast and it was delicious! We made reservations and were seated immediately. The service and the food was excellent. We ordered the Salsiccia (sausage, mushrooms, provolone, bell peppers, Parmigiano cream) and added bacon. And we got the Caraibica (cherry tomatoes, provolone, bacon, onions, parmigiano cream, avocado). Both were yummy and the Hash browns were cooked to PERFECTION in both dishes. We also had the Fragile and cream pancakes (eye catching and delicious!). We have had their pastas and breakfast, now we must come back to try their pizzas next time we are in town
Service was very welcoming and helpful with the menu and recommendations. I enjoyed the warm atmosphere for the restaurant and the warm lighting, the Italian music playing in the background was a plus! I was visiting Phoenix for a work trip missing my Italian cuisine from back home (The Hill in St. Louis ) and Mamma Lucy hit the spot! I enjoyed the pizzelle more than I had anticipated honestly, the dough was crisp and airy but still soft/chewy, and the sauce was very rich. Very fresh and very flavorful. The lasagna was delicious as well, although not as flavorful as the sauce for the pizzelle, a bit muted flavor wise but still a solid lasagna!
Came here with my best girlie because the Girl Dinner menu kept showing up on my Instagram. Such a cute Italian spot! The restaurant is bigger than it looks, the vibes are adorable, and the staff was so kind. For $20, you get a salad, pasta, and a martini or wine (before tax/tip), plus they have happy hour during select times. I got the Caesar salad, carbonara, and white wine. Soooooo filling! The carbonara was a little richer than I expected but still delicious. We also tried the stracciatella gelato and crème brûlée. The desserts were just okay, so I'd probably skip them next time. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the pasta, deals, and cute atmosphere.
I went here because they have $19 "Girl Dinner" a few nights during the week + their entire menu is 25% until 5:30pm or so for the summer and you can pair them together! The "Girl Dinner" had a few pasta options, Caesar salad and a glass of wine or martini! I loved the selection and play on the traditional "Girl Dinner". The server was open to explaining a few other things on the menu however, the service was very slow. It seemed like everyone else around us was getting their meal while we were waiting. The pasta and salad came out at the same time which was quite shocking. I'm thinking the delivery of the food was slow because of that. Inside of the restaurant was designed very nice and the tables had a good amount of decor on them. There was an unopened bottle of wine on the table which seemed odd since I almost thought it was a gift for us as a customer. We ordered gelato + crème brûlée for a dessert and I was not impressed at all by the gelato. I'm pretty sure it was ice cream since it was not creamy and the crème brûlée had a weird aftertaste to it plus the sugar was not completely toasted. Overall a good value but slow service and the pasta was kind of normal I wasn't super impressed but I also understand it was a prefixed menu!
Hidden gem! This is a great Italian restaurant with delicious pasta and plenty of menu options to choose from. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the restaurant is spacious, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast and attentive. The only minor downside is that they don't offer a complimentary birthday dessert or special occasion treat, which would have been a nice touch. That said, the food, service, and overall experience were excellent. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others!
I went to Mamma Lucy today for a late brunch with a girl friend. I was happily surprised to learn they are also participating in the fall AZ restaurant week! Although I ordered off the brunch menu, the presentation, taste, and texture of my fragola & crema pancakes was phenomenal; it was truly a masterpiece. Emily was so kind and attentive and made us feel like family. I would love to bring all my friends and family here in the future.
Came for chef's week. The food was good. Atmosphere ok, service was pretty slow. I would note that I should've skipped chefs week and ate from the menu. We were there during happy hour where the menu is half off. Doing the math we overpaid by about $15 a person. Oh well, live and learn. The sauces were really excellent, fresh and you could tell chef made.
Family casual local vibe! Pasta was Al dente and delicious! The trio is fun for a group. Meatball was phenomenal Our server, Chris, was funny and very knowledgable! He was a bit upsell-y (as I'm sure he's told to be). Not a huge issue for me I could see others possibly caring about that. Great pricing! Will return! Would love to try veal parm!
The girl dinner deal here is so good! You can get a pasta and a salad for only $19 plus a glass of wine or a martini. They also have some other great specials this summer and the food was really good. Service was also great! Would highly recommend.
Jessica was fabulous very helpful and informative. It was our first time there and it will not be our last. We ordered the pasta trio because we didn't know what to expect. Well, it turns out we were pretty happy with all of it. It's nice to have some authentic Italian food that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg really just like the decor. The venue is very nice even has a little outdoor patio. All the staff was dressed very professional until you saw the new hostess arrive. She really put a black eye onto that experience. She was dressed in like an oversized sweater type mauve in color that had the big word of Boston on top and her sweatpants were not appealing. Looks like the place has a dress code. Maybe they need to tell her to spruce up.. I WOULD RECOMMEND
This was our first time at Momma Lucy's, and it definitely won't be our last! Everything from the food and drinks to the service was outstanding. We started with the Bruschetta e Burrata, and it was absolutely delicious with fresh, vibrant flavors. For dinner, our table had the Rib Eye with Italian fries, Spaghetti Alla Positano, Famous Pizzele, Polpette, and I had the La Regina Carbonara with Rigatoni. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. You can tell they take pride in every meal they serve. The Espresso Martinis were amazing and were the perfect way to enjoy the evening. Our server, Chris, was exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. He truly helped make our first visit memorable. The restaurant was a little noisy, but that's because it had such a fun, lively atmosphere filled with people enjoying themselves. It added to the experience rather than taking away from it. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, outstanding cocktails, and excellent service, I highly recommend Momma Lucy's. We can't wait to come back!
This was serious authentic Italian food! It really felt like we were eating the dishes in Italy! Also loved the ambience, the service, and the whole experience I suggest getting the Zozzona, the lobster ravioli was a bit too heavy for me, but still delicious

Kirk was our server, and he truly knew the menu. He made great recommendations and seemed to genuinely enjoy his work--which always makes the experience even better. The setting itself was lovely, with a real Italian flair. And the food--the food! We kept lunch on the casual side, but every single thing we ordered was delicious. We shared the meatballs, a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and a Caprese salad. When I tell you it was all divine, that is not an exaggeration. We also tried a flight of spritzers--peach, strawberry, and blackberry--which was such a refreshing addition to our meal. To top it all off, I had a pistachio cappuccino, while my daughter enjoyed an espresso. We loved the ambience, we loved the food, and we especially enjoyed each other's company over a truly scrumptious lunch. This fun little spot is tucked away in a shopping center off Bell Road, and it is absolutely worth finding. If you're even considering it, don't hesitate--dive in! read more

So we did a pick up order, to set context. Pick went smoothly, staff was very nice. Enjoyed a glass of wine while I waited (ordered there to go) Lorenzo was great. Ambiance was cute. As a Togo order though, and this where they lose a star. The food did not live up to the price. It was dry and the salad, simple Caesar salad, was tasty but not a 15 dollar salad. The pasta was dry, spaghettoni con polpette and a Tagliatelle allá bolognese. Could have used more sauce. Meat balls were nice but a bit dry as well. Bolognese was good, probably better at the restaurant but dry as a to go order. We look forward to coming to the restaurant and experiencing the food in person. 4 stars for now. read more

Came here for my mom's birthday lunch, and had some of the best Italian food ever! My mom is a tough one to please and she was very happy with the service and the food. Everything is made fresh and the portions are perfect for the cost. We will definitely be back! read more

Authentic and delicious!!!!! I would highly recommend this hidden gem!!! The chicken parm and (forgot the name) but was a white sauce with mushrooms and sausage. OMG the amount of good news in that dish was unbelievable. Try this with place out. I love finding something hidden and a little unknown! read more

Such a great restaurant with friendly staff and authentic Italian food. I came here on my own for their happy hour on a Friday night and sat at the bar. So glad I did because I got to speak with the host, who was so attentive, and talk with some other diners and the bartender. I of course had to get the spritz flight. Every single one was made perfectly! You get a limoncello, a Hugo and an Aperol for $15. Full sized! I had the meat balls and pesto gnocchi the goat night and can I just say... I was told the gnocchi would be like pillows and I was not lied to. Such good food that I came back the next day with my sister and brother in law. This time, I tried their arancini and carbonara... we all went to Italy this summer and that carbonara was on par with what we ate in Rome. This is a great place to go if you're looking for Italian food that has that authentic, home cooked feel. read more

We went here as a group of 4 for Valentines Day. Great ambiance and service. It's laid back - not too fancy but the food is homemade and delicious. Meatballs were great, 3 of us got the specials for Valentine's Day and I got the Zozonna - everyone loved it. Cocktails were strong. We loved the laid back atmosphere and just great meal. I did not expect that the trio signature is consisted of 3 full-sized pasta dishes. The presentation is superb and the pasta are delicious. I love the bright yellow carbonara sauce. It is so tasty and I could not stop enjoying it. As everyone could already tell, we sadly did not have room for our own desserts but we got the sorbet to share. Bravo!!! If you're looking for phenomenal homemade Italian meal, then look no further! My husband and I had a date night at Mamma Lucy and ordered the Caesar salad, gnocchi with sausage, Cacio E Pepe and finished it off with the tiramisu. Everything was absolutely amazing! Discovered a hidden gem today in Scottsdale. Were you aware that Mamma Lucy is now serving lunch? Renowned for their exceptional dinner and nightlife, they've chosen to expand their offerings to include brunch and more. If you're seeking a remarkable lunch experience with a beautiful atmosphere, this establishment is worth visiting. I walked in today a little less than an hour until close. I was willing to take my order to go because it was close to closing time before their dinner rush, but they instead I stay. It is beautiful inside. The outside may be a little unassuming in a shared lot with Dutch Bros, but their beautiful well lit sign is so welcoming and you'll feel like you're in an entirely different place inside. Service was out of this world. It was attentive and kind and so many great recommendations. I chose the Pappardelle Funghi & Salsiccia. It came with complimentary bread and oil. The pasta was the best I've had. The sauce was creamy and the sausage and mushrooms really perfected the meal. Prices were a little higher than your typical lunch, but portions and ingredients to me were totally worth it. I could see myself eating here often when in the area. Delicious! read more

This a GREAT place for special occasions, like Mother's Day or for really good Italian food brunch/lunch/dinner. Beautiful romantic, Italian atmosphere, phenomenal service, and exceptional food. We started with a pitcher of red Sangria - great! Then we split the lemon pancakes that were light, fluffy and not sweet bit delicate lemon zest. My husband had the chicken parmesan with side of pasta - wonderfully fresh marinara sauce. I had the Aragosta Benedict, it was the best Benedict I have had with a light croissant bun, eggs were perfectly done, lobster was light, and a light hollandaise sauce. We finished with a cannoli with a hint of lemon and a wonderful affogato. Highly recommend for families, couple's and special occasions. read more
3 couples decided to try this space out cause we saw reviews and Instagram that it was really good and authentic. We made reservations for Valentine's Day. Once we got there, the host table was outside which I get if they want more space inside but we were ushered into this tent that was connected to the restaurant like a ooo up tent as if we were tail gating. That in itself was horrible. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because at least our service was nice. However, the website did not say that the menu would be limited and we all literally wanted other items that were on the main menu. Even calamari they couldn't make. That's a staple at Italian restaurants! So then we order our drinks, it took 35 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After we got drinks, it took another 15 for the waiter to come back to take our order and then we waited about 40 minutes for the food. Then we ordered another round of drinks and that took another 30 minutes to get to us. Why would Prosecco take 30 minutes to pour? The food was not outstanding at all, felt like I was just at Olive Garden. The carbonara was $28 and the veal was $42. For how the food tasted it should not have been that much. All in all, terrible experience, won't go back. Please do not overbook yourselves to sit people at an extension outside your restaurant that made it less special. We probably could have gotten a better seat at an Olive Garden. read more

Been wanting to try this Italian restaurant for ages! We made a reservation through Open Table and were seated immediately in rear of restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and we were greeted by our server, Chris, promptly. He took our drink orders & recited the specials. We had spritzes - Lilla & an Aperol and a house wine. Complimentary bread is brought to the table with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. Husband had the spaghettoni and daughter had the ravioli fungi. Both meals were reportedly excellent. I ordered the Linguine alle Vongole. While the pasta and garlic wine reduction were very tasty, I am taking off a star because 5 of my clams were not open! ( Think the chef should have removed those from the dish before serving. ) Service was excellent and we were thanked for dining with them. read more
