Lighter fried chicken with arugula and spaghetti
Ilana B.

We had the best night here! Food blew us away and the service was equally as good. Chris was our server and he was incredibly personable and highly knowledgeable. We had the antipasto board, bolognese, and breaded chicken arugula dish. We ended with the tiramisu... all perfect

Jessica was fabulous very helpful and informative. It was our first time there and it will not be our last. We ordered the pasta trio because we didn't know what to expect. Well, it turns out we were pretty happy with all of it. It's nice to have some authentic Italian food that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg really just like the decor. The venue is very nice even has a little outdoor patio. All the staff was dressed very professional until you saw the new hostess arrive. She really put a black eye onto that experience. She was dressed in like an oversized sweater type mauve in color that had the big word of Boston on top and her sweatpants were not appealing. Looks like the place has a dress code. Maybe they need to tell her to spruce up.. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Chicken parm

Authentic and delicious!!!!! I would highly recommend this hidden gem!!! The chicken parm and (forgot the name) but was a white sauce with mushrooms and sausage. OMG the amount of good news in that dish was unbelievable. Try this with place out. I love finding something hidden and a little unknown!

This a GREAT place for special occasions, like Mother's Day or for really good Italian food brunch/lunch/dinner. Beautiful romantic, Italian atmosphere, phenomenal service, and exceptional food. We started with a pitcher of red Sangria - great! Then we split the lemon pancakes that were light, fluffy and not sweet bit delicate lemon zest. My husband had the chicken parmesan with side of pasta - wonderfully fresh marinara sauce. I had the Aragosta Benedict, it was the best Benedict I have had with a light croissant bun, eggs were perfectly done, lobster was light, and a light hollandaise sauce. We finished with a cannoli with a hint of lemon and a wonderful affogato. Highly recommend for families, couple's and special occasions.

We went here as a group of 4 for Valentines Day. Great ambiance and service. It's laid back - not too fancy but the food is homemade and delicious. Meatballs were great, 3 of us got the specials for Valentine's Day and I got the Zozonna - everyone loved it. Cocktails were strong. We loved the laid back atmosphere and just great meal. Will be back!

Such a great restaurant with friendly staff and authentic Italian food. I came here on my own for their happy hour on a Friday night and sat at the bar. So glad I did because I got to speak with the host, who was so attentive, and talk with some other diners and the bartender. I of course had to get the spritz flight. Every single one was made perfectly! You get a limoncello, a Hugo and an Aperol for $15. Full sized! I had the meat balls and pesto gnocchi the goat night and can I just say... I was told the gnocchi would be like pillows and I was not lied to. Such good food that I came back the next day with my sister and brother in law. This time, I tried their arancini and carbonara... we all went to Italy this summer and that carbonara was on par with what we ate in Rome. This is a great place to go if you're looking for Italian food that has that authentic, home cooked feel.

Fry bread with burrata

Dinner | $50-100 We had a fabulous experience at Mama Lucy's! From the moment we walked in the door, everyone was nice and welcoming. Chris, our waiter, was exceptional! What a great guy, and he took such good care of our table of 7. He was charming and offered good suggestions too. All food was delicious. Like really authentic and tasty. That fry bread with burrata is a must! And we loved the 3 tier of pasta! I think 4 people could eat that meal. When in Scottsdale, eat at Mama Lucy's! You won't be disappointed . And thank you Chris for

Discovered a hidden gem today in Scottsdale. Were you aware that Mamma Lucy is now serving lunch? Renowned for their exceptional dinner and nightlife, they've chosen to expand their offerings to include brunch and more. If you're seeking a remarkable lunch experience with a beautiful atmosphere, this establishment is worth visiting. I walked in today a little less than an hour until close. I was willing to take my order to go because it was close to closing time before their dinner rush, but they instead I stay. It is beautiful inside. The outside may be a little unassuming in a shared lot with Dutch Bros, but their beautiful well lit sign is so welcoming and you'll feel like you're in an entirely different place inside. Service was out of this world. It was attentive and kind and so many great recommendations. I chose the Pappardelle Funghi & Salsiccia. It came with complimentary bread and oil. The pasta was the best I've had. The sauce was creamy and the sausage and mushrooms really perfected the meal. Prices were a little higher than your typical lunch, but portions and ingredients to me were totally worth it. I could see myself eating here often when in the area. Delicious!

Trio signature
Kat V.

I did not expect that the trio signature is consisted of 3 full-sized pasta dishes. The presentation is superb and the pasta are delicious. I love the bright yellow carbonara sauce. It is so tasty and I could not stop enjoying it. As everyone could already tell, we sadly did not have room for our own desserts but we got the sorbet to share. We enjoyed the leftovers the following days.

Cacio E Pepe
Krista H.

Bravo!!! If you're looking for phenomenal homemade Italian meal, then look no further! My husband and I had a date night at Mamma Lucy and ordered the Caesar salad, gnocchi with sausage, Cacio E Pepe and finished it off with the tiramisu. Everything was absolutely amazing! The owner, Fabio even came to our table to speak with us and was so personable. His beautiful wife Alice / owner is also a chef there.. Absolutely worth making a reservation..

Madelynn F.

Came from Tucson to try this place and WE WERE PLEASED. To drink I had the SOLERITA (yummy tequila cocktail). We had the Signature Trio pasta (Amatriciana. Carbonare. Cacio & pepe) all 3 absolutely delicious! If I had to pick my fave, I would say it was the cacio & Pepe. jessica was our server and we met the owner, Fabio. Fabio was AMAZING and told us about the menu and the restaurant (named after his mother). For desert we had the DIPLOMATICO (Pastry layers filled with Italian chantitlí cream) and it was an absolutely a delicious flaky delight. We had the lemon and orange limoncello, which was a delight as well. Definitely worth the drive. And I definitely plan to come back and try other things on the menu

Best authentic pasta I highly recommend this place. It was my first time here! Our server, Chris was fantástico!

Veal was very dry

3 couples decided to try this space out cause we saw reviews and Instagram that it was really good and authentic. We made reservations for Valentine's Day. Once we got there, the host table was outside which I get if they want more space inside but we were ushered into this tent that was connected to the restaurant like a ooo up tent as if we were tail gating. That in itself was horrible. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because at least our service was nice. However, the website did not say that the menu would be limited and we all literally wanted other items that were on the main menu. Even calamari they couldn't make. That's a staple at Italian restaurants! So then we order our drinks, it took 35 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After we got drinks, it took another 15 for the waiter to come back to take our order and then we waited about 40 minutes for the food. Then we ordered another round of drinks and that took another 30 minutes to get to us. Why would Prosecco take 30 minutes to pour? The food was not outstanding at all, felt like I was just at Olive Garden. The carbonara was $28 and the veal was $42. For how the food tasted it should not have been that much. All in all, terrible experience, won't go back. Please do not overbook yourselves to sit people at an extension outside your restaurant that made it less special. We probably could have gotten a better seat at an Olive Garden.

"Eat Like Italiano at Marcellino"…read more Marcellino Ristorante in Scottsdale is one of those places that's clearly popular for a reason. There was a long wait when we arrived but the staff made it pleasant by bringing out free bruschetta while we waited, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is very Italian--warm, charming, and inviting. They also have outdoor seating, which adds to the whole experience. There was live music that night, and it really set the mood without being overwhelming. I tried two of their non-alcoholic drinks: the rosemary mint lemonade and the hibiscus mango--both refreshing and thoughtfully made. My husband went with a lager beer, which paired well with the food. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to try their homemade pasta, and once we heard they have squid ink pasta, my husband didn't hesitate. We ordered it, and wow--it was amazing. The pasta was deeply flavorful, loaded with seafood, and served with lobster meat on the side, which took it to another level. We also ordered the Filetto di Malale--pork tenderloin sautéed with tender asparagus and green peppercorns, finished with a bourbon flambé. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. For dessert, we had the flaming panna cotta, which was both fun to watch and deliciously sweet. We were also happy to meet the owner-chef, Marcellino Verzino, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for authentic Italian dishes here in Arizona. Definitely a spot we would return to.

We made a reservation ahead of time and had a table ready for us on the outdoor patio. We went on a Friday and could instantly tell this place is legit. The ambiance isn't modern it's more home-style but honestly, who cares when the food is this good? The service was excellent and incredibly fast. We were on a bit of a time crunch, and they helped us wrap everything up right on schedule. For drinks, I ordered a Cosmo and oh my one of the best cocktails I've had. The flavor was perfectly balanced and so smooth. For appetizers, we tried Emma's dumplings, beet salad, Brussels sprouts, and burrata. They started us off with house-made bread and homemade butter, I could eat that all day. So good! We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing vegetarian options. The Brussels sprouts, beet salad, and Emma's dumplings were definite winners each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the penne vodka. I had high expectations, and while it was good, it was more on the average side compared to everything else. And finally the butter cake for dessert absolutely knocked it out of the park. You could literally taste the butter in every bite, Unreal. Pricing is very reasonable, and overall the service and food were beyond exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff were so sweet to write us a handwritten note, this really started off our night on a good note so props to you guys! As a lemoncello connoisseur, their lemoncello in general was fantastic and the spritz was very refreshing and bright! It makes me very happy to know that they make everything from scratch, including some of their liquors. A little intimidated by the menu, I asked our server what he recommended. He was very knowledgeable and very descriptive when explaining the dishes! I got the short rib pasta, and my boyfriend got the shrimp linguine. This was seriously one of the best pastas that I've ever had! On both of our meals, the protein was just incredible. The shrimp was tender flavorful and I appreciated them keeping the shell on the shrimp it just tasted so fresh! For my short rib, it was just truly incredible. The sauce was rich and flavorful without being too heavy or overwhelming. The short rib just melted. I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.
