Second, the cook started gripping about leaving at 2 (they close for an hour at this time) "cuz he had things to do". Third, once i ​got ​home to eat my food I'm pulling pieces of wax paper (?) out of my mouth from my omelette! I thought it was bits of onion, but no, it's paper! Totally disgusted! The bacon wasn't fully cooked either. The ONLY redeeming quality is the Lemon Pound Cake French Toast. Wonderfully soft, thick, & lemony. Half a minute later Amanda returned with my drink (perfect Arnold Palmer) and a menu. She then gave me a few minutes to review the menu. Upon returning she asked if I had any question and inquired if I was ready to choose. Amanda was very knowledgeable polite and made thoughtful recommendations. Because this was my first visit I tried several different items to get the full experience. I started with a half pound Boudin Link, it was sensational. I was incredibly impressed that the Boudin was so delicious being so far away from Louisiana or Texas. I also ordered a half serving of red beans and rice with sausage, a half serving of jambalaya and a half shrimp Po boy. The Boudin came out first it was Cooked to perfection, exceptionally well flavored and served with a wonderful spicy remoulade. All of the dishes were very thoughtfully prepared, wonderful flavored, just the right amount of cajun flavors. The portions were huge even as half servings it was much more than I could eat. The cost was very reasonable and well worth it. While the meal was excellent, Amanda's attentiveness and genuine concern for customer satisfaction made it a perfect dining experience. I always have brisket but usually add another meat or two in a combo meal. There was a more of a price jump than i like for a second meat and i didn't see sausage on the menu (always my second choice) so i just had the brisket.
