The atmosphere also was not very welcoming. On the bright side, the staff was kind, which I appreciated. Spicy Rigatoni 8/10: It says spicy in the name but I did not expect it to be spicy each time I took a bite, lol. Very delicious and addicting! Sauce is savory with some sweetness. Chicken Pesto 9/10: I am addicted to these pasta shapes and textures! It was truly so delicious with good amounts of shredded chicken and the toppings are delicious. I had them as leftovers as well and they did not disappoint! Calamari 8/10: These are crispy and the calamari is fresh, good sauces, juicy lime, and some sour vegetables on the side. Very delicious appetizer! Truffle Bread 7/10 : So delicious! It came with some cream spread on top and the bread is fluffy but crispy, with a cheese and a nice truffle taste! Lasagna 6/10 : This portion is definitely a bit smaller and I would say it's a good ol' lasagna. Nothing special except for the sheets which were thin and fresh, and the sauce is a bit salty. Tiramisu 10/10: This was so delicious! It came with some crispy chocolate toppings and it wasn't too strong but definitely so delicious, would recommend. Other things I did not take pictures of: Meatballs 7.5/10: Very delicious with a nice tomato sauce and they are some standard meatballs. I would recommend you try something new instead of just the meatballs. Bread with Olive Oil + Balsamic Vinegar 8/10: Again, crispy but fluffy bread, balsamic vinegar was acidic but sweet, smooth olive oil. 10/10 Service! They were very accommodating to our large party and celebrated my cousin's birthday. Nice vibes inside and outdoor seating, and I like how the outdoor seating was covered and not fully outdoor.

We had a dinner party over the weekend and Everyone (!) enjoyed sampling the many flavors of ravioli and sauces. We also served the HUGE meatballs as appetizers with marinara & parmesan. Some of our parings were the Sunday dinner with marinara, but Any sauce would complement these ravioli. The mushroom ravioli with Alfredo sauce. The chicken quesadilla ravioli with chipotle cream, yum! The chicken gorgonzola with walnuts ravioli, which I served with my simple recipe of brown butter balsamic sauce. We also dropped off a lasagna with Bolognese sauce and the chicken divine to some family members and a chicken spaghetti to a neighbor who is on the mend. These casseroles also received raved reviews! Holy Ravioli, thanks for making our tastebuds dance! oxo

We finally made it to Lucia, and I honestly can't believe it took us this long…read more After a terrible week at work, my partner and I decided we just needed to get out of the house and do something nice for ourselves. We've been wanting to try Lucia for YEARS, but we're terrible at planning ahead, and as everyone knows, getting a reservation here can be tricky because they're almost always full. So, we decided to try our luck and randomly showed up right when they opened, hoping we might be able to grab two seats at the bar. What we didn't know was that I was talking to one of the owners. I told her that if she couldn't seat us, we completely understood and that it was totally okay. She responded, "This is my restaurant, so I want you to eat here." I thought that was absolutely adorable, and she somehow worked her magic and got us seated at the bar. We started with cocktails, and they brought us some delicious olives to snack on. We also ordered the fresh bread and butter, which was the perfect way to start. For dinner, we shared the ravioli and Wagyu bavette, and WOW. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. My immediate thought was, Why the hell have I not eaten here before?! Everything tasted incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and perfectly balanced. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and there's clearly a lot of care that goes into every plate. Honestly, this was exactly what we needed after a crappy work week. It turned a rough week into a really special night, and I left already thinking about when we could come back. One of my favorite things about restaurants is when you can genuinely tell that the people behind them love what they do. You can feel that at Lucia. The owners have clearly put their heart into this place, and it shows in the food, the atmosphere, and the experience. I will absolutely be back. One important note: MAKE A RESERVATION! Please don't assume you can just walk in and get the experience we did. We got incredibly lucky, and I'm genuinely grateful they were able to squeeze us in. Our experience was a little bit of magic, and I definitely wouldn't expect them to be able to do that every night. 10/10 way to end a crappy week.

The menu is always changing which makes returning exciting!
