The staff was great and made some recommendations. Food came out pretty quick and was hot. I started in the car and it hit the spot. A nice mix of heat from the spicy sausage. I'd be curious to try just a sausage and pepper sandwich and a cheesesteak on its own, too, but you don't get this kind of combo anywhere else. The fries are lightly battered. Not my usual choice of fry style, but they went along with it well. I'm making this a stop the next time I'm back. Prices are really reasonable. Also kind of want to try replicating it at home.

Ironically, I was a chef at very expensive restaurants. I highly recommend the ribeye cheesesteaks with bacon, your preferred cheese, and fried onions. Also great are the hoagies, bacon cheeseburgers, meatball subs, hot sausage sandwiches, fries, salads, and desserts. In fact, I cannot think of a single item purchased here that I did not enjoy eating. For best results, buy in person rather than rely on delivery, which can cause issues no matter which restaurant it is (leaking grease, cold food, mangled ingredients, long delays, wrong or missing items, etc.). The prices are less than half of what other joints charge for the same amount of worse tasting food. Service is fast, enthusiastic, and friendly. Parking is adequate on nearby side streets. The neighborhood is definitely improving and safe during daylight hours. Go for it!

However, One Pound still serves the purpose of late night eats. This spot doesn't give any flash or fuss like others might, but it's definitely still a competitor, especially after hours. They will remain on my list of "must stop" when visiting or driving anywhere close to Philly, but now just for late night grub.
