Went for a cappuccino and it did not disappoint. Liked the ambience, service and set up was really nice!
Came on a sunday around 11am-ish and place was already packed. However its a mix of dine-ins and to-go's so and people dont linger too long so we were eventually able to find seating for 4-5 while waiting for our orders to arrive. The housemade hazelnut latte was delicious and i quite enjoyed that drink. the ham and cheese croissant was also fresh and a nice easy breakfast to-go in case we couldnt find seats. Pastries had so many options so there is usually something for everybody.
This cafe opens at 7am and was perfect for having a catch up conversations with a friend before the work day started for each of us. It was quiet enough inside with plenty of of seating inside. The pastries look delicious from behind the counter. I ordered the tahini latte which came with toasted sesame. This was the first time i've seen this on a menu and I am a huge fan! Was smooth and nutty and satisfying. I also ordered croissant with I think raspberry jam inside, half dipped in white chocolate. While this looked awful tasty, it was hard to eat and I ultimately threw 75% of it away. I didn't think it tasted very good as it was hard on the outside and there was chewing which made it hard for me to talk and catch up without gnawing on it. The choco donut with crispiness on top, my friend had and he said it was very soft and he enjoyed it. He ate all of it within 3 bites! Overall, I would come back here as this is a great meeting spot!
Located near the Rockefeller Center Plaza and Nintendo store so was pretty crowded that day. Not as spacious as a few other Mamans I've been too. This location had small tables filling most of the area, close to one another; not cleaned between customers. Restroom available. Placed an order and waited by the counter, which got cramped with people waiting near the line to make orders. Hot chocolate was too sweet for me and whipped cream cost extra.
Great place for food. They always have reliable quality and service. We have been to several in both DC and NYC. Haven't had the pastries but most of the items on the food menu and coffee drinks are fantastic.
WHEN: Wed @1:30pm This bakery is so darn cute and lovely and I was sad we didn't have time to sit and enjoy. So instead, it was only a quick drop by for a cookie: CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE - $4.50 Yeah it's a solid and yummy chocolate chip cookie! No Complaints!
A friend and I went to the CJ Hendry flower market nearby at Rockefeller Center and then stopped by maman for a quick coffee. I loved the earthy vibes with the plant life through the establishment. We ordered at the counter and then found a table. We had the vegan pumpkin carrot cake, spiced apple danish, a couple lattea. The pastries were absolutely delicious, not too sweet but still bursting with flavor...perfect for fall. I normally don't get "special" lattes, but I had seen so much hype about this vanilla honeybutter with sweet corn foam latte and how it was reportedly "not too sweet" that I felt compelled to try it. Unfortunately, as I feared, it was still way too sweet for my taste -- the latte itself and the cold foam were both sweet, so it ended up being a bit of an overload for me. I'll just stick with my usual almond milk latte next time. But overall it was a pleasant experience, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely a bustling place on the weekends!

It was fine - the crust was undercooked as it usually happens. Logistics: - indoor seating only - limited street parking nearby - extremely crowded on a Saturday morning- be prepared to get it to go if no seats are available - very narrow storefront. Tricky for mobility aids
We visited this specific location a couple of times during our trip. It was just a 5 min walk from our hotel and we were very impressed with the quality of everything...especially being a chain. Additionally, it seemed reasonably priced for the area. Hands down this was the best mocha I tried on the trip. They also made an outstanding Tahini Latte with Honeycomb too! The baked goods are all outstanding and especially their pistachio croissants with chocolate which aren't pictured. There are quite a few Mamans in NY just wish they would take these over to the West Coast!!! They would be a massive hit.
I chose this spot for a quick breakfast as it had great reviews and was in walking distance from our hotel. We got there fairly early and though it was raining outside, we managed to snag a table for four right after we ordered. The interior was small but very charming and all three of my guys found something on the menu that called to them for breakfast. We ordered, got our number and sat down together with our coffees and juices. We dined under a faux leafy arbor and not only was everything beautifully presented to us, it tasted just as good! In our quest to eat authentically in NYC (no fast food or national chains), this was a wonderful pick for our first breakfast!

Honestly, this avocado toast was a godsend. We ordered right before they stopped serving mains for the day and this was much needed sustenance. The heirloom tomatoes were a nice touch.
We stopped by Maman for breakfast before leaving the city, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. This has become one of our go-to spots whenever we're in NYC because we genuinely love their food, and once again, they did not disappoint. I ordered the steak sandwich along with an iced almond croissant latte, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as we remembered. You can really count on them for consistency, which is something I appreciate every time we visit. Before heading out, we grabbed a few cookies to go and wow, they were incredible. The perfect sweet treat to take with us and enjoy later. Overall, everything was perfect as usual. Maman never misses, and it's always a must-visit for us whenever we're in the city. read more

This was my second time ordering delivery from Maman to my office but I tried mostly different items including some of the Martha Stewart collection items. My order came on time, was packaged nicely and was accurate. I loved the crème brule sugar bun and the speculoos cookie. Some of my coworkers raved about the apple turnover and the kitchen sink cookie. The pecan streusel cake was a little dry. The croissant cubes and swirls are very big and hard to cut to share, but tasty! I love trying new things from Maman and would definitely recommend their baked goods! read more

Always a reliable stop for brunch or a pastry! I am seldom disappointed when I come to maman! This time, I tried the kouign maman and tartine au saumon. Both delicious! The salmon tartine was quite filling. I love the kouign maman! Be sure to eat it day-of! Imagine a croissant that has been caramelized. So tasty. My favorite spot for a quick coffee/pastry! Would come here over Starbucks or Dunkin any day. It can get busy though- and service is perhaps not as fast. Worth the wait in my opinion! I would recommend maman and will definitely be returning! read more

If you are looking for a quiet spot to catch up with a friend, this is NOT the place. But I do want to say that their seasonal latte was delicious, and the Nutella beignet was pretty good! I went with a friend to catch up and the place was crowded, noisy, and no place to really sit. My friend found a table with one chair so for a bit I kinda kneeled down to eat/drink/catch up with her, until someone else offered an extra chair they had in their table. The service was ok, I feel like for a coffee shop it could have been better. I asked the first cashier what were the seasonal latte and they looked a bit annoyed and gave me the small menu to look at. Then they disappeared, so then another cashier helped me out. Overall, the latte was delicious and I would tots come again when I'm back in NY. read more
Reliable chain where you can sit down to eat a decent quality breakfast with good coffee (though tables are tiny and you're practically elbow-to-elbow with your neighbors). The Avocado Toast is extremely popular and it would be great if the chopped tomatoes weren't mealy and ice cold. read more

We went to Maman for breakfast around 10am and it was crazy busy! We even had to wait and stalk out a table to eat, that's how busy it was! It was unbelievable! When we ordered the staff would not let us get our dishes to stay rather made our order to-go. However we ended up getting a table quickly about 5 mins. It was a very cramped place. The tables are small and literally directly next to each other. There was a long line to order. We ordered a croissant, cinnamon roll, and the Elisa breakfast bowl. And a mocha and lavender hot chocolate. The food is expensive for what it is. My Elisa bowl was not at all what I expected. I thought and was hoping it would be a warm bowl, but it was so cold! Literally all the ingredients just came out of the refrigerator, with the exception of the egg! Which I had to get it scrambled. So I was glad they were able to get my order right, as I had to yell my order to the staff as he could not hear me and repeated the wrong thing. Hubby loved his cinnamon roll and mocha. And my hot chocolate was very sweet. Overall this is a crazy busy Maman location so you'll likely have to wait for a table. read more

I'm genuinely such a big of maman. Other than the fact that it's always packed and you can never get seating, I just love the vibes of the entire store. The floral decorations as well as the packaging for every to-go order is just wonderful. I got the Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie and I think this is one of my favorite chocolate chip cookies in the city. I loved the contrast of the nuts with the extremely sweet chocolate chips which made it feel like it wasn't super sweet. Also, the borders of the cookie were very crispy while the middle is still soft. Also, the fact that this cookie is under $5 is great compared to other places like Levain and Chip City where there cookies are now over $5. It's like the growing prices of milk tea all over again. Definitely will come back to Maman again, although I do wish that they had more seating or just less people as I think this would be a cute cafe to do work in. read more

Fiona's Belgian waffles were the best waffles I've ever had. Soooooo good. Coffee was lowkey not great, I tried the tahini honeycomb latte and it was a miss for me. The decor is GORG and I love the Martha Stewart collab lol. Barista was super sweet and the food was yum, coffee not my fav but everything else was so good!!!! Perfect way to end my nyc trip :) read more

This seems like a nice place to come and chat. They have a pretty big menu and still had a lot of pastry options later in the day. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is how dark the cafe was inside and how packed it was. I think servers were very busy, but still managed to be polite. So happy find Maman... the pastries were so delicious coffee was great. The order at the counter to give you a number or you can find a table and will bring your food and drinks out to you or you can take it to go super easy and fast. Small little tables not a super big restaurant but enough space for a party of two or four. Service good , I had some questions in ordering our pastries, and I could tell that the lady behind the counter wasn't too happy with too many questions. I just needed to find about food because of allergies. She answer my questions. read more
Maman has several locations in NYC and this location is pretty busy, especially since it's right by Rockefeller. Inside is pretty small, a long hallway down to a few tables on the side. It's fairly loud and not the best spot for large gatherings. You also grab your food and seat yourselves so it might be difficult to find a seat during busy hours. There's a decent amount of breakfast and lunch options on the menu as well as pastries that look absolutely delicious. I got their quiche sophie with a side salad and it was pretty good. Not the best quiche I've had, crust was a little soggy, but still not bad. I also got a side of their roast chicken which was simple and couldn't go wrong with. My friends got their tartines which were basically just toasts with toppings, and they enjoyed it. Also their matcha lattes are great! For the food, it is a bit pricey but it's a nice casual spot to catch up with a friend. It's also great for grab and go, especially if you're just here for a pastry. The pistachio croissant is delicious and has a light pistachio cream filling. Their cookies are also raved about. read more

I ordered the omelette but asked for the eggs scrambled instead (I do this all the time at restaurants as I prefer the taste of scrambled). I was surprised to get a chopped up omelette. I asked if this is what i was supposed to get when I asked for scrambled, and was told that this is what I was supposed to have gotten. It was also pretty cold but i didn't want to go back and ask about temperature after I had just asked about the preparation, but I'm sure they would have warmed it up if i asked. I love Maman. However, the staff at this location was not the nicest. I had repeated multiple times that I wanted my matcha to have less ice and when I got the drink, they gave me a hot one. And when I had advised that I had ordered it iced, she wanted me to pay the difference. I definitely recommend getting their crossiants and I personally liked the classic chocolate chip cookie. This is a must go to stop for me. Just an average rating due to the service. read more
The hot cocoa was delicious especially with that pistachio, unlike anything I've had before! The pastries were also very good, but maybe a little overpriced. Pros: The space of this cafe! There are several tables that fit up to 4 people so brunch can be properly enjoyed here. There is also outdoor seating! I ordered the milk chocolate macadamia latte and my boyfriend ordered the strawberry rhubarb matcha lemonade. I felt that the latte was overpriced but decent. However, next time I'd go for their regular coffee lattes, since the chocolate and sugary additives were a bit too much for me. The matcha lemonade was great! For foods, I ordered a quiche, which was just okay - I would not order again. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was good!! We also ordered the creme brulee cookie which was honestly my favorite item we ordered. All of those came out to be a total of $45. For Maman I think their strengths lie with the baked goods. As for brunch, you can definitely have a more enjoyable experience at a sit down restaurant (especially since it's a toss up if seating is available when you get here), but choosing here for a pick-me-up for coffee and a baked good is the way to go. read more
3.5 / 5.0 - I've been to several maman locations in NYC, but this was my first time at this location near Rockefeller Center. I love the beautiful decor of maman cafes and their lovely tableware. I came here with a group of 4 after lunch and all of the tables were full. Fortunately, after a brief wait, one of the tables opened up. If you're not able to get a table, though, there's unfortunately no standing space inside. Others enjoyed the coffee beverages they ordered, but I tried the Matcha Latte ($5.5+), which did not have an authentic rich matcha flavor nor was it sweet like other Americanized matcha latte. It is conveniently located near 5th Avenue for a coffee break, but I won't be back for the Matcha Latte. read more
Maman always has great goodies and I love that they're a part of Too Good To Go. The employees there were very accommodating to allergies on food and kind albeit they were very busy as I was far from the only person there picking up a Too Good To Go order. They gave me a decent variety on croissants and other pastries as well. All in all, I would be back whether it's for Too Good To Go or in general. read more
I've been here a couple of times and got a savory item for the first time. The quiche Sarah to go (seasonal) - it's apparently always warmed up when we asked. It was really good, soft texture, and full of flavor. $10 I got the Paris to New York pastry as well because it looked so nice. Not bad but it's basically a brownie base with some layers of lighter sweetness on top. The croissant circle didn't really work with the brownie texture but still tasty. $6 read more

Way tooooo noisy and too many fake dusty trees! The coffee and cookie was okay but the environment was NOT relaxing. The sign on the table says it is a " laptop free environment". They want you to relax here. I can't! It's too noisy. read more
