Bun Rieu I didn't try but the kids tore it up and wanted more so I guess it was good

Fabulous!!! Been eyeing this place for a while it's always packed everytime we walked by but on this Tuesday evening was nice and quiet. They have the things you can't get at any other restaurant in the area. The lemongrass coconut snails were a hit. The Vietnamese wings were super crispy and flavors are on point. The conch mango salad was overpowered by onions but would've been 5 out of 5 if they balanced out the mango to onion ratio but plenty of conch and prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. We will def be back!!!

If you're looking for some good Vietnamese street food in Davie, come to MaMa ToFu! Giving the vibes of travel without travel, they really give you the authentic street food ambiance here. I've been here twice and gotten different things but my most recent visit was inspired by a friend telling me about Bo Kho, which is a Vietnamese beef stew. I've been told that this dish doesn't always come with noodles but here, the business refers to this dish as beef ramen. It comes in a big bowl with a good amount of beef and noodles. The flavor was really good and it was more than enough to satisfy our group, since most of us got our own bowls. They also have other popular dishes like seafood and snails. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor seating emulating street food fare dining in Asia. The staff is friendly and the food comes out fast. Overall, a great place to try some classic Viet dishes.

Great food. Staff is knowledgeable! I'm always impressed by non-vietnamese people pronouncing Vietnamese words better than I do haha! My favorite things to order here are the bún riêu, which is a pork seafood soup. It's so good with some extra chilli paste and can't for get to add extra shrimp paste for extra stink! The grilled seafood here is also delicious. It's a little pricy but honestly really great quality and flavor! The vibes are very casual and comfortable. Great place to get a Vietnamese food fix that's not pho.

Any time we visit Ft Lauderdale, we get to try Mama Tofu Street Food. As always, the food was great, and the services were beyond expectations. We tried several appetizers with clams, spotted babylon snails ([ốc hương) and wool snails in coconut sauce (ốc len xào dừa). We also had Hu Tiu, the southern noodle soup; Bun Rieu; and a Porridge. What a fun place to have Vietnamese authentic specialties!

I can't believe I've never reviewed Mama Tofu before. I've been several times whenever I hit up 545 Banh Mi Cafe and Mama YaTai Donut. You can't miss this place because they have the cute little tables and chairs, just like they have in Vietnam! The scooters out front are for show. Hehe. This spot is a legit Asian street food spot. So my Asian friends always talk about Mama Tofu and the authenticity of the dishes. They talk about the snails and lemongrass tofu all the time. Went to a party where someone brought the lemongrass tofu and let me just tell you...it's damn good!!! The tofu is extra crispy and the fresh grated ginger with that sauce is perfection. No joke, I come here specifically for the lemongrass tofu and it never disappoints. If you can, eat it immediately because it's the absolute best when it's fresh and hot. I've also gotten the Bun Rieu, which is a difficult Vietnamese dish to find almost anywhere. Very rare. Kind of like Mi Quang which is another one of my faves. The Bun Rieu is one of their most popular dishes here and my first bite reminded me of my parent's cooking. They use to make Bun Rieu all the time and this was very nostalgic for me. There are so many good items on the menu I need to come back for like the Cua Rang Muoi (Salty-pepper crab), Mi Bo Kho, Hu Tieu, congee, and Rau Ma (pennywort) beverage.

My family comes here often for the bun rieu! It is the best that we can find around us so it is worth the 30min drive. I also like the pho and wintermelon tea. The workers are so nice, they speak English and Vietnamese which is convenient, and the service is pretty quick. The inside is well-decorated and has a comforting/warm feeling to it. It's in an Asian plaza where there are yummy places like boba around it too.

We came here 3 times during the 3 days/2nights stay in Miami (and it took 45 minutes with traffic to get there from Miami). That to say how much I love this place!! Being a street food lover, before getting to Miami, this is a MUST visit place for me!! The hours need to be updated! They now open on Thursday as well!! I always saw a diverse group of people who come here, although the food is very authentic! I has always been cautious with Vietnamese restaurants that are not catered to Vietnamese clients. I would say this place a unique exception. First of all the food, with my many visits, I got to try the following - Oc huong - Chao Long - Hu tieu - Sua bap (corn milk) - Bun rieu - Ngheu hap sa - Tra bi dao I love everything we tried but if I have to pick my top 3 absolute favorite, that would be chao long, oc huong and corn milk! Being Vietnamese I know it is not easy to make this rice soup without a weird smell lol! That could only happen with skill (of course) and fresh pork intestine!! Oc huong (snail) I know it has a fancy name that I don't remember! The snail is really good and really really fresh! The corn milk and tra bi dao were also amazing! They came in cute little containers with the handles The food here reminds me so much of my childhood!! And there are many dishes that you cannot find easily at different parts of the country. I would also love trying trung ga non (young chicken eggs) but my tummy said no! No more room hahaha! I am excited for the next time I come back to Miami! We probably need to stay in Fort Lauderdale instead just because of this place!! And how much Vietnamese street food means to me (bring pieces of my childhood memory back) The restaurant is small but very nicely decorated and offers sittings outside! Even the restroom is nice and clean! We didn't have to wait long for our food to come out! The service was AMAZING!!! We were talking about how you can tell if the person you are meeting at a restaurant is an owner or not because of their ownership, care and how they treat the clients. The young woman that we met all 3 times we were here was so nice and attentive. She went above and beyond for an amazing experience! If she didn't tell me about "the owner" I would have thought she was the owner! Kudos to the great team they have here!!

We had chilly weather the other day, so we came in for a quick bowl of bo kho. I loved it! I thought it was a flavorful broth with an ample amount of beef and noodles. Will definitely be coming back just for this dish My other friends indulged in other dishes, pictured below You serve yourself water at a self-serve station and wait for food to come to your table

Since my review years ago, Mama Tofu has evolved itself into Sugar Mama Tofu. Their menu has expanded a tri-fold! Some menu items were crossed off though when looking at the menu and I'm not sure if it's because they sold out or discontinued the item. I am 90 % sure it's the first option because this is the place to experience what a street food vibe is about. I think my favorite part about this restaurant is that they have the outdoor seating like they would in the Vietnam. Since I never been, I get to at least feel a little bit in my roots. Although, the tables and chairs were cute they did take a toll on my back hurting LOL. But it's all good because the experience made up for it. We ordered: Fried Quail - Great seasoning but too many bones for it to be enjoyable Lemongrass Clams--These were pretty tasty dipped in the lemongrass marinade but can come off a bit salty Crab Noodle Soup (Bun Rieu)--Which I thought was ok, My cousins really love this noodle soup though. It's just missing the oof for me. Super packed with proteins so it won't disappoint your hungry status. Conch with Mango Salad - My favorite. It is a well made dish. The mango and conch mesh well and had a kick of spice and tangyness. A great combination of textures & spices. Delectable, like Vietnamese style ceviche. Service is good. Will definitely come back to vibe

Cháo Lòng is Vietnam's bold and hearty Pork Offal Congee that's loved by locals! Every ingredient is simmered until tender, while the meat juices enrich the broth. The grains have a velvet melt-in-your-mouth texture, and each spoonful is like uncovering a surprise - you just don't know what you'll get! Mama Street Food where I tried Cháo Lòng was spotless. The ambiance was inviting, and the dining area was well-maintained. Cleanliness is essential, especially when enjoying such unique dishes. The staff was friendly, attentive and their warm service added to the overall dining satisfaction.

You cant find many places that have "oc" in Miami. So we were glad to find this restaurant. Not that many options. Most of the options on the menu were sold out. We tried 2 different "oc" and were not so impressed at all. The fried tofu is dry. The only thing we like is the fried chicken. It is a bit disappointed. Hopefully they have better varieties on the menu in the future.

If you pass by food town I'm sure you're seen the people sitting outside mama tofu enjoying their Vietnamese street food. They have a variety of authentic soups and snails that I haven't seen in south Florida FOOD: Vietnamese street food. You can also order meats to grill yourself CUSTOMER SERVICE: pay first then orders comes out. Fast COST: $$ SERVING TIME: food comes ping in $15-20 AMBIANCE: casual OUTDOOR seating: yes but they are small stools so you have to almost squat to sit on they PARKING: Plaza parking.

My friend and I got the Hu Tieu which we both loved and ate all of it. The broth was flavorful & complex and the squid was so tender, not chewy at all. The tofu was the perfect fry texture, but my friend who is Vietnamese wasn't all too impressed with the flavor of the lemongrass. For all those out there reading this, make sure if you go during these cooler nights, the restaurant has limited inside seating. Only 4 tables inside , a lot the seating is outside mind you.

We ordered the coconut rock shrimp appetizer that came with large, meaty shrimp and a great dipping sauce. But the shrimp had no flavor and was very bland. We also had the tuna crispy rice. The presentation was lovely. But the appetizer was underwhelming. For dinner we had the cucumber skin roll with tuna, salmon, and a avocado. Again, a beautiful presentation with tuna that melted in your mouth. But again, not impressive. The standout was the curry udon with chicken katsu; thick, meaty udon noodles; and a delectable curry sauce so good I slurped up each drop.
