The service was fairly fast and our waitress really friendly. The lunch menu had a nice range plus some healthy items and some 'Create your own' sandwich options. The food was quite good, not the absolute best but great for a nice lunch. I got a chicken burger with lovely avocado and juicy chicken. Some of my friend got pizzas and I have to say, I can't comment on taste, but they looked really good!

After a spot of late night Christmas shopping at Carindale last Thursday, it seemed the perfect opportunity to try this popular Italian restaurant. We were happy to wait for a table seeing we hadn't made a booking but I would recommend anyone wanting to try this restaurant to make a reservation. The waitress made it clear that they drew a large crowd even on weeknights. Unfortunately on that night, the food did not live up to its reputation. Our scallop and calamari pasta was bland and had to be spiced up with lots of Tabasco and chilli flakes. The lasagne was average but I suppose I just had higher expectations given the recommendations of the place. Since we've been inundated with different cooking shows on television, the home cook is a lot more adventurous making and tasting food. On the odd occasion, I even make my own pasta and store it in airtight containers. While the Roman Empire Bar probably doesn't beat fresh home-made pasta, it is a decent night out at a fair price.

As soon as we walked in, the smell of heavenly coffee filled the room, & we noticed the beautiful interior of the cafe, which was very inviting & we immediately felt at home due to it's relaxed setting. We ordered: 1) Open chicken panino, grilled chicken, crispy bacon, haloumi, tomato, avocado, rocket, house aioli, shaved provoloni cheese ($17). 2) Lebanese breakfast potatoes, & messy eggs, labne, cucumber, olive salads, pickels, zaatar bread ($17) + extra mushrooms ($4). Both dishes were so delicious, we could've had another serving! Coffee is by DiBella using the Modena blend. A blend that is smooth, & not bitter. Overall, the service was excellent, food & coffee was great, so we would definitely come back, & try some of the other delicious dishes on offer. It's really nice to experience little gems like this in the 'burbs. It's child & family friendly being next to a child care centre, & a very comfortable atmosphere. Bless, All day menus! Atmosphere- relaxed, local and friendly. Coffee- smooth, rich and perfect. Food- delicious, reasonable, hugely portioned and clearly made with love. One of the most wonderful things was that we sat down at 9am and didn't leave until 12pm. Not once were we pestered or asked if we wanted the bill. We were left to eat, catch up on conversation, drink caffeine and be merry. It's so rare that you find a great brekky place that doesn't get people in, feed them, then get them to leave. Ave is worth the trip to the eastern burbs. I will most definitely be back again....and again.

They offer free garlic, chilli, jalapeños, ginger, BBQ sauce, sweet chill sauce, hot chilli sauce or pizza herbs on any pizza - I love this. Extra chilli and garlic for the win guys! My to-be brother in-law is allergic to dairy & eggs, Pizzaland make him a cheese free pizza without any of the fuss you'd get at other places. Even without cheese the pizza is still tops. My no.1 orders are 'Pizza Orgy' (I guess that's what happens inside your mouth with every bite) and American Deluxe, though I am dying to try The Continental - or to be more honest haven't found anyone to give it a go with me yet - which sports some ye old timey pizza toppers (I'm talking mashed potato and bread n butter cucumbers old timey!). Phone ahead as the pizza's are made to order with a normal wait of 20-25mins. Gluten friendly pizzas also available. Rad!

They are lovely and efficient and make pizza so good you'll think about it for days after. This place is a real gem, with a diverse but not over whelming menu, old favourites done right and some new ideas like the Continental, bacon, smoked cabana, mashed potato and bread and butter cucumbers, I know right! But it totally works. Try it out. Get a half and half, go on, it's very good. Once the Pizzaland creations l hit my mouth, all memories of insipid, overpriced faux Tandoori 'pizzas' on cardboard from 'gourmet pizza' places were erased from my mind. I will never buy a pizza from a major chain again. I am only interested in pizza from pizza land. Pizzaland is flight of the concords, and I'm Mel. Pizzaland is affordable, tasty, and with very quick take away ordering, this place ticks all the boxes. I love Pizzaland! Get a takeaway pizza and go eat it on roller-skates to impress a boy you like.
