Heading home from dinner last night about 11:45pm (Madrid is late dining) we passed this charming small restaurant with the last guest of the night talking to the chef. We looked at the menu and we talked to the chef ( his English is perfect) and booked for a 2pm lunch the next day. The decision to go back was a good one.
Our lunch began with three appetizers including sliced tomatoes with a perfect dressing of a pesto, White beans with Chorizo soup, and anchovies with a side of tomato pure. All delicious!
Luckily the Rioja we were drinking helped us in to the main course special of a roasted pork leg that had been finish with a searing and served in its own roasting juices. The bottle of wine was finished as were we. A smile on both our faces but only disappointed that there was no room left for dessert.
Here for four more days in Madrid we talked of returning before we leave. We are pleased to support this newer restaurant and I to join Yelp and write my first review. read more
