I can't believe it's taken me 4 years to not only do research on Amanda and her scam of a business but to write this review. I wish I did my research before getting a puppy through her. Four years ago for Christmas my family got me a so called maltipoo puppy through Amanda. With the amount it cost for him and to fly him out we were expecting a true breeder quality puppy. Quite the contrary. First off, we immediately made an appointment with a local vet after picking up our puppy. Turns out he had coccidia and giardia. The vet also mentioned that our puppy had an extreme case of malocclusion, which is a misalignment in the teeth. Our vet went on and said that this can cause future issues for him as he gets older. Not what you want to hear if you're supposedly purchasing from a breeder. When I notified Amanda about the giardia and coccidia, she normalized it and said "they all do" from the stress of flying. Didn't really make sense but it wasn't anything life threatening and our poor pup was feeling better in a week. But the way she responded then stopped responding after that interaction was a complete red flag. From there, our pup changed colors COMPLETELY. Which is understandable since he had a dark brown puppy coat and cream/white undercoat. But we were told he was going to be a toy sized maltipoo with a max weight of 8 lbs but he turned out to be 12 lbs. Even that was okay with us. But what I came to realize is the amount of behavioral and temperament issues our puppy had. He became aggressive and possessive at an early age. We invested in several trainers and spent a good amount of money and he continues to show these behaviors. The last trainer he worked with, who is very well known, shared that this is common in backyard breeders. DO NOT at any cost by from Amanda! She's a complete scam and she knows it! That's why she keeps changing the name of her business and town she works in. She was even on the local news a few years ago. If you want to take the breeder route there is a reason why her prices are cheaper than other breeders. Pay the additional amount and purchase from a real breeder if that's what you're looking for because you will not get a breeder quality dog from Amanda. read more

I can't even give this woman a 1 star, if I had to give her anything it would be a negative 5. For $600.00 was was getting a multipoo. I had my dogs DNA done. So much for a multipoo. My dog is half poodle, a quarter Chihuahua, and. Quarter sports type dog like a springer spaniel. I love my dog dearly, but I was definitely lied to and she is a very deceitful individual. We bought a supposed "2nd Generation Maltipoo" and I can tell you for sure that she is NOT a maltipoo!!! The dog has SHORT and STRAIGHT hair! I have a REAL maltipoo at home that I got from a RESPONSIBLE breeder and this puppy looks like a CHIHUAHUA!!! There is a YouTube video from AUSTIN LOCAL NEWS about her "business"! She probably changed the name due to all of the HORRIBLE reviews and dissatisfied customers she had! Check her reviews on YELP, BBB, YELLOW PAGES, THEY'RE ALL BAD! She runs a PUPPY MILL! She won't even let you see the puppies' parents. She'll meet you at a Walgreens or something of the like in HUTTO, TEXAS! Also... she posts OVER 20 NEW PUPPIES EVERY FEW WEEKS!!! Guys, small dogs can only have about 1-5 puppies per litter! And the fact that she's posting over 20 puppies at a time makes me wonder what's really going on there. Oh, and when I asked her how long dogs are pregnant SHE SAID 6 MONTHS!! Wow! What a joke! Dogs are actually pregnant for about 2 months! She's a SCAM ARTIST!! Don't buy a dog from her!! If you want a Maltipoo buy one from Bows and Toes Kennel in Houston/Brownsboro. Those puppies are actually REGISTERED and VET CHECKED!! And they WILL let you see their operation! Oh and Amanda Schnell does not get her puppies vet checked! She supposedly deworms and vaccinates them herself. And right now July 5, 2017 she has a puppy on her website named "Sapphire". The puppy is supposedly a 2nd generation. Get a load of this, she writes "Genetics not guaranteed". WOW! How would you not know the genetic background of a puppy that you're selling?!?! I'm telling you that she either runs a puppy mill or buys puppies for extremely low prices at ILLEGAL puppy auctions and turns around and sells them for what they look like AND much higher than their worth. AMANDA SCHNELL does NOT care about these innocent puppies! And when I made claims about her tricking us and lying to us about the breed of our puppy she did not rebuttal which ABSOLUTELY shows that she is a liar!! Amanda, God says that the truth will come out and I WILL do everything in my power to get your lame excuse of a business SHUT DOWN if you do not stop what you're doing. Stick to real estate. Do not buy a puppy from Amanda's Puppies (Amanda Schnell)! She is without a doubt running a puppy mill. My personal experience: I got a puppy from Amanda, who refused to be met onsite. A day after I got my puppy home, she began showing signs of parvo. I took her to the vet, and she was diagnosed with Parvo. My poor baby had a long road ahead of her to recovery. We are now a few years down the road, and she has constant joint problems where her joints pop out of place, and it is extremely painful for her. Her vet associates joint problems like that with downbreeding as a result of an irresponsible breeder. My baby is also not a Maltipoo, like we were told. The idea of this woman running this business and people unknowingly (like myself initially) supporting her puppymill makes me sick to my stomach. If you want a Maltipoo, Yorkipoo, or any other type of puppy, I would recommend doing your homework prior to buying from anyone, especially Amanda Schnell. read more

DO NOT BUY. This is an irresponsible breeder who does not genetically test her pets and lies about the mix and size. I bought "Charles" last summer, a white maltipoo male. I was told he would be 10 lbs and I can take him to a vet to get him checked out and return him in 3 day's if I didn't want him if he had an issue. Well, I was told at the vet he had a 2/6 for a heart murmur. The vet also said he could grow out of this and it wasn't necessarily something that can effect his life. I decided to keep Charles, who I now named Kona, because I loved his personality. Jokes on me cause now his heart murmur is a 4/6, I have to take him to a $700 appointment once a year for an echocardiogram to keep an eye on his heart. Other genetic disorders: he is an albino, as you can see by the pink skin and red eyes and nose, which isn't for sure a problem right now, but could have problems down the line. He also was crypt, and because of that plus his heart murmur, his neuter was VERY expensive. Because of all these costs, I have asked for a partial refund on him. I have also asked her to stop breeding this line. Oh and did I mention he's 25 pounds and looks mostly poodle?!? I love him but wow he is not the 10 lb maltipoo promised. I also asked her to stop this lineage because it is very unhealthy and she obviously doesn't know what she's doing. She still hasn't responded to this day to me. At three months she was already 8 pounds and at 4.5 months she now 11 pounds. I also do not believe what she sold me is a maltipoo which breach of contract. I agree with all the negative reviews. We bought our supposed maltipoo from Amanda in March, she looks nothing like a maltipoo and weighs about 13 lbs. We spent $1200 for this dog & like some of the other reviews, our dog has short, straight hair & sheds. We too have purchased a true maltipoo from a breeder in Arkansas & at 4 months she looks like a maltipoo and weighs 4.1 lbs. No issues at all. This lady should be put out of business read more

If I could give this breeder/puppy mill owner zero stars, I would. We showed up to this location and she showed us two dogs, Garfield and Garrett. Garrett, which is the runt of the liter and clearly very sickly. She even stated, and was recorded, "he hasn't grown in two weeks and I'm getting concerned about him. He also doesn't socialize and wakes up 3 times per night." but she was going to sell him to us for $750!!! We purchased Garfield, who we had to sign a VOIDABLE contract for. She admitted to me that she never had the contract looked over by an attorney and said she wrote it herself, also writing the vet records herself. All recorded by phone. We abide by the voidable contract and take the dog to the vet within 4 days, where he tests positive for parasites! The vet said he had to have gotten them from her home because they would not have shown up on a parasite test if he had received it within the 24 hours we had him. I called "Amanda" about this and she was ugly and rude stating that the parasite wasn't her problem. She also said she didn't give him the 8 weeks shot and deworming because "she got busy" even though the "contract" states he would be up to date on his shots and deworming, which clearly was false. I am reporting her to the police for running a puppy mill, and the BBB. I have no problem spending money to make sure she's exposed for the way she runs this business. She also had a previous breeding/puppy mill business she changed the name of to dodge the awful online reviews about her. My daughter really wanted a puppy for her 10th birthday. I am not really a have a dog of my own person. I love dogs much more if I don't have to worry about them! I had certain requirements in order to get a dog. I wanted a small dog that doesn't shed. After researching dog breeds we decided on getting a Maltipoo. I found this "company" online and my daughter instantly fell in love. I met Amanda in a parking lot. She refused to allow me to see the parents or other puppies, which I thought was strange, but since I have never bought a puppy before I went with it. Once I arrived, she told me that she is no longer allowed to have clients to her home because they have been robbed in the past. After reading some of the other reviews, she apparently changes her reason... While this dog is now apart of our family, and we all love her, she is absolutely NOT a maltipoo. She is almost 9 months old and weighs 17lbs. She also is shedding like crazy! My understanding is that neither maltese or poodles are supposed to shed. After talking to my friend who has gotten several dogs in the past, and reading some of these other reviews, I would agree that something suspicious is going on. I am not one to accuse without all the facts, but I have to say that I wouldn't trust her ever again. I should also add, that I do not ever write reviews, but I feel that it is important to let others know that what she advertises is not accurate. Do I regret getting this dog? No. She is sweet and I'm glad that I am able to give her a good home. However, I would never buy another dog from Amanda again. Buyer beware! read more
