Was at Newark Airport for a connecting flight and had some time due to a delay. I always love a good lobster roll and you can never do wrong with homemade chips. However, I wasn't as happy with this meal. Now, it was a good amount of topping on my roll, but the flavors were not the best. The roll was what seemed like a hotdog bun. The homemade chips were a little on the over done side. For $25 for one person, it was way overpriced. It did take a while to make, they were busy, so maybe they need more help in the kitchen. We simply tried to substitute fries for the kettle chips (like it says you can on the menu) and it was a whole huge argument. Shrimp were more of the same. The clam strips were chewier than 27 year old gum that one would find under a seat in a sixth grade homeroom class. The fries were limp, oil-drenched and flacid like a...., well, you know. And since when did bad, cheap, pasty mayo with a few sad diced pickles pass for tartar sauce? 12/9 4:45pm -- ADA violation: I was feeling a fainting coming on due to my condition, none of the water fountains in this terminal worked, and after walking to Malone's with symptoms getting worse, my knees gave out near the register trying to buy a water. The elderly woman who worked there started yelling at me "you need to pay for that!!!" (Duh) "ma'am you can't sit there!!!" in response to my collapsing. "You need to go sit over there you're blocking the area!!!" You need to pay for that!!" and I physically couldn't move, a few people were trying to explain to her that it was a medical emergency. It's set up sort of like a food court with several tables and high tops where patrons can sit and eat the food and drink they've purchased from the various vendors. Because this is one of the only food options here, finding a table can be a struggle for sure. I had a steak sandwich from Malone's; It was mediocre at best, served with homemade thick cut potato chips and cost more than $20 before gratuity. My $23 airport salad came with kalamata olives, tomatoes cucumbers and feta cheese. Plus the world's tiniest portion of salad dressing. The greens and veggies themselves were pretty good - fresh and freshly prepared. The thimble full of dressing was flavorful. Please don't waste your money on the chicken.
