Don't waste your time or your money dried out crab piss taste like they were frozen then unfrozen then steamed then fried because they were so dry. It was gross really truly a waste of my money. I'm highly disappointed. read more

I went to crab Palace today and purchased 5 lb of crab leg clusters at a price of $105. When I got home I opened the bag and I ate two of the Clusters the remaining part of the bag were broken up and 50% of the bag were legs and they also had a smell of urine. read more

Came here to get my crab fix, they where completely out of male large crabs due too high demand. So I went with the medium male crabs instead, first time trying them. I got them steamed with seasoning and I must say they were surprisingly really good! Very fresh and meaty! Hopefully the next time I come they aren't out of the large male crabs but if they are I'll definitely get these again. They also have this garlic butter that is SO good! It comes in the container and is located in the front refrigerator near the cashier. read more

New location is nice, parking is way easier. Crabs are as amazing as ever, been coming here for 3 generations now.

6 corn on the cob, two king crab legs (1lb), 3 large snow crab clusters (2lbs) , 2 lbs. of live crawfish and 1 lb. Pink shrimp. $84. Not bad for top quality seafood. Live crawfish were DELICIOUS!! I've never had them so fresh, what a difference in taste and texture. Fed four of us without issue. My kids devoured everything. They love crawfish and were happy with the taste. The snow crabs were meaty and satisfied all. The pink shrimp were sweet and tender. We sprinkled a bit of the cinnamon seasoning on the corn and all agreed it was the best corn on the cob ever. read more

Crab Palace - 6 corn on the cob, two king crab legs, 3 large snow crab clusters, 2 lbs. of live crawfish and 1 lb. Pink shrimp. $84 - Seafood Markets Near Me - Newark, New Jersey

This crab palace has been around since I was a kid. And it never fails to deliver in freshness.

Wanted crabs. I called for pricing and they were running a special. Buy a dozen get half dozen free. That works for me. They only had females large and medium which I didn't mind either. While I wanted large my pockets called for medium price. They were ok in size. A few small ones but whateves... lol. I like them and plan to return. I'm curious to see what their large crabs look like. read more

My New Jersey GF moved to San Francisco with me and told me she loved crabs. Hey, so do I! I took her to Fisherman's Wharf for dungeness crab and she told me it was good, but she likes the "regular crab" more. I'm like, "Regular crab? What's regular crab to you? Cuz dungeness is regular out here!" Well, she was talking about blue crab...and here is her favorite place to go to satisfy her cravings. Being a dungeness fan, I'm not used to the tiny size of the blue crab, but I must say, that meat...yeah, that's some sweet meat. Can't deny that! And this place hooks it up right. I guess I haven't been out here long enough for a proper comparison, but I was very satisfied with the crab I had here. We didn't eat there. We crabbed a bushel to go...prepared in a garbage bag...inside a large cardboard box. Not the best looking presentation, but its all good. read more

My boyfriend&I love this place. He lives in central jersey and I live in N.Jersey. Introduce this place to him and he loves me even more. He prefers the King crab 5Lbs shared for $80.00 plus tax. And extra seasoning on the side. I ate enough with rice because I am a rice lover however my boyfriend ate most of the crabs and was satisfied. So now he loves the fact I introduced him to this place. It's not a dine-in place. Order out due to the COVID-19 pandemic and make your own home din-in fun because we certainly did read more

Crab Palace - King Crabs 5LBS $85.00 ( feeds two grown ppl) & delicious - Seafood Markets Near Me - Newark, New Jersey

I went to the location as there are two. I ordered a Swai fish sandwich. The lady took out the fish and threw it into some giant closed machine. I later learned that she threw the fish in frozen. I took it home to eat and upon biting this sandwich it was inedible. It was like plastic. The flesh was hard and sort of rubbery. I will NEVER go here for ANYTHING as this experience was ridiculous. I figure if they are willing to sell that then they will most definitely allow lack and poor service in other areas. No bueno. I will stick with the Miller St location where I've never had a problem. Two stars for the confidence to serve this sandwich as if it were edible. I need that sort of confidence. read more

This was a great place for blue claw crabs, fresh All stayed live for the trip home. The price was right for 4 dozen male large. Staff was friendly and help full. I will be back for XMAS dinner. read more

Not what I was expecting at all. There is no place to sit down and there are 2 separate counters for ordering. I came for the blue crabs and was surprised by the extremely short wait time. I thought I'd made a mistake as asked the cashier to steam the crabs when she replied that they already were. It's a dollar for a small dipping cup of butter and it's very good. Made with garlic so I was happy. The crabs were fresh and seasoned well. I think they might put cinnamon in their spice. What ever it is, it gives the crabs a very distinct smell and taste. A half dozen large males for $24. Not bad and they were damn good. Will be returning to try the snow crab and tiger shrimp. read more

Entire place is a problem... well for me that is. I can't know there is bomb a** crab this close to me otherwise I'll be there weekly. So far I haven't been since memorial weekend but I will be back next week. Anyway, crab is rockin. Last time I had crab this good was at skipjacks in Maryland but the dusting is not as salty as the one I had in Maryland. This place seasoned and steamed the crab to perfection and the service was quick and fast. Staff is nice and friendly and the price is great! Definitely has a place in my heart! My initial order was a dozen and a half of large males and a bag of claws. Rockin. read more

Delicious crabs and seafood- my favorite place in the area. A great selection and the price is a great value.

I loved this place and I purchased from them often. Yesterday (01/27/2021) I purchased 1lb king crab legs with other items. Last night when I started to eat the crab legs it was slimy and smelling of ammonia. So I contacted the store to tell them about it. The person I spoke to asked if I still have them so being honest I told him I threw them in the garbage his reply was well I can't do anything about that and hung up the phone without even saying I'm sorry or anything. I could have taken out the crab from the garbage and carry it back but I will just put it at a lost. Won't be buying from them again though. If that is how their customer service is I don't think they deserve my hard earned money. It's the principle that counts even if I got a sorry for your bad experience I that would have sufficed read more

Okay so here's the deal on Crab Palace.. You want them fat juicy crabs or them spicy shrimp or some crab legs this is your spot hands down BUT be prepared on most dsys to deal with the Riff Raff. It is what it isJust remember what your there for and don't let nothing get in the way of your ultimate mission.Use your common sense and don't be flashing your dough unless you can really handle yours.:..You run into a few Knuckleheads both male and female but for the most part the vibe is cool...Just be smart. If you don't want to spend a lot of time up in there be smart order ahead. Fam once you get your warm crabs home you won't be thinking about the Riff Raff... Enjoy and get the melted butter! read more

We got a dozen of steamed crabs and 2 lbs crawfish and that was more than enough for two people. Crabs were fresh and cooked to perfection, crawfish was very decent too! One complaint I have is that they put wayyyyy too much of cajun salt in the seafood that we had to wash off the seasoning off of the crabs. I will def come back but will skip on the seasoning next time! read more

Very good seafood spot. I came on a Friday just to see what the prices were like and to check when the next shipments were. I liked the menu and let them know my order early. Came back the next morning, got my bag of crabs in about 20 minutes steamed fresh from the truck to the pan lol Whatever spices they use smells friggin amazing!!!! Most people don't like their car to have any seafood odor sitting in the seat but it was a highly fragrant and delcious bag. Make sure you order enough to share! They were very good at helping me guesstimate the right amount and didn't steer me wrong at all! Im waiting for the weather to break to go back lol read more

I was really hungry when I was washing clothes next door. It was packed - good sign. It looked like most people were there to purchase food for home - steamed shrimp, raw whiting etc. I figured I'd get a classic since it was my first time there - whiting sandwich and fries. How could that go wrong right? What a disappointment! The whiting was overcooked and the ripple fries were undercooked. If you're considering this spot for a cooked meal, do yourself a favor & keep looking. read more

You can not beat the crab here! Simply amazing. You can get them cooked plain or with old bay. Loved it

Well.... No need to drive to Bmore for steamed blue crabs. This spot in Newark totally hooks up some crabs . The prices Are inexpensive . The flavor ....... Oh man these crabs are seasoned to perfection. They don't douse the crabs with seasalt and o bay. The crabs were also heavy and the large female crabs that I ordered had plenty of crabmeat inside. The meat was also sweet and juicy. I melted butter and added lemon juice although I didn't really need to do that. As the crabmeat was both flavorful and juicy. I love this place already . Can't wait to return to get the steamed shrimp. There is plenty of parking available read more

This place is amazing! My fiancé and I found this place on a whim. Since then this is the only place we get our crabs from. We usually buy 2 dozen of the large female crabs. #Disppointedcustomernomore. Dear Crab Palace, before parting ways I want to share what I hope to be for you some valuable feedback. For the past few years I have faithfully looked forward too ending my work week with a mad dash from Downtown JC to Miller Street in Newark to get my fave, large or jumbo males. However, as of late I have been VERY disappointed and must seek out another place to get my fix. After returning today to make my WEEKLY purchase, and to speak with management about the error made with my last order of large male crabs, although I was charged for them, (I was given medium sized dried-out females instead) I was very thankful that one of the owners was gracious enough to hear me out and attempt to right the wrong and make this crab lover happy again. Well I was wrong! I was there to purchase my usual large males and asked that he throw in a few extra crabs on the house for all of my trouble of having to drive 20 minutes back to your location to get what I paid for which he agreed. I get home and discover that I have two bags of crabs (mostly medium males/females with some being dried out and maybe 2 males). What happened to the 1/2 dz males that I paid for? I didn't ask for almost 1 dz medium sized crabs!!!! Guess i'll try Lindy's for now or somewhere else; and maybe I'll be back in the future and maybe I won't. Please pay more attention customers who place the smaller orders because we too help to grow your business. Do better please. Thanks! read more
