The seafood was super fresh. The seasoning they use for when you steam is pretty delicious. The only thing I can say I disliked was I got a side order of butter in garlic sauce, but it tasted like stale old butter did not taste fresh at all. it was kind of gross and they have decent prices. Randomly found this place when I was looking for a local seafood spot. It has an old school fish market feel and is extremely clean inside. Small selection BUT offers seafood foils and fried food options. Hubby and I got the whiting with fries. Huge portion of fish, 4 nice sized pieces. Service was super fast. However, although the fish & fries were fried to perfection they both lacked some flavor. Fries were crispy but could've used a little salt and pepper. The fish also was kind of bland but perfectly crunchy and fresh. We will definitely be back to try a boil and some other items. read more

Who says you can't go to a Fish Market and it's clean and well organized? I love Lindy's. And I travel a ways from my home to get to them. Their seafood is always fresh and available. Some times there are lines, but it's a small place, with plenty of parking. I never complain because the workers are always friendly, they always provide great, quick service and FRESH TASTY SEAFOOD. I always get steamed shrimp light seasoned or clams steamed with hot sauce and lemons, Dungeness and Snow crab legs . I love the blue crabs and the steam menu specials. They offer many specials and hot fried food too. I always order a 1/2 bushel for my family BBQs. I wish they provided their menu online. But I know it's subject to change. I give it a 3 star because of the crabs, I feel it's a rip off sometimes, if I order jumbo crabs then I expect jumbo crabs. Sometimes they're jumbo but lately they look like the medium crabs back before covid. I can only imagine what the medium crabs look like now. I got large the last time I was there and same they look like the medium crabs before covid. I understand y'all need to make y'all money but don't rip us off in the process.. I also had some friends come up from Maryland and they got jumbo they really wanted their money back. You have a sign that says Maryland crabs and it's not true I just had crabs from Maryland and what a huge difference them Jumbo's was huge like they're suppose to be. Went here to grab some crabs for a few friends and I. The location seems out of place but it's been there for years. It is a family owned establishment that has been passed down from generation to generation. The current manager/owner Dennis Chon couldn't have been nicer. He took the time to answer all question and even gave us a run down of how the business came to be. This is the second time visiting here and will definitely be back. On that day we got a dozen and a half of medium female crabs and they steamed them and seasoned them to perfection. Highly recommended this place. read more

I am a crab lover and know the difference between small, medium and large crabs. On 9/11/2020, I asked my husband to stop by Lindy's Seafood after work to pick up one dozen of large crabs which totaled $40. The employee who helped my husband assured him they were "large crabs". When my husband arrived home with the crabs they were small or medium size crabs. I was Over charged $40 for one dozen of large crabs which I did not receive, see pictures attached . I attempted to support a business who in-turn took advantage of a paying customer. I went here because I wanted blue crabs. 1st of all, they do not have live blue crabs. They are already steamed, and then steamed again with added seasoning. Because I was doing my own crab boil, I got a dozen males, "not steamed", but they were already cooked. I got them home, cooked them and once I began to crack them open, and they had a smell of ammonia so I ended up throwing a dozen crabs away. I got crab legs also and they were small and once cooked the shell was so soft that I had use a fork to open them. I won't be returning. read more

Loved this place. Called before to verify if they have oysters left around 6pm, and they did. Drove there, didnt expect the best quality, and came home with surprises. They charge $15 for a dozen, which is not bad at all. Despite the differences in sizes，they all came very "meaty". Taste wise they are super fresh, unfortunately not very sweet or flavorful as those you get at restaurants for $3-$5 per piece. But really, you cant get a better deal and more fresh ones than these. I go here to get blue crabs. The crabs are extremely small for the price but they are the only fresh blue crab provider I've found in the area. The crabs are not all that good. What I do now is buy them uncleaned and bring them home to clean and sautée myself! Which works perfectly. So it saves me some time and effort because they're precooked and I just have to clean them and pop em in the oven. I'm used to excellent seafood so maybe I'm just biased. read more

Lindy's Seafood saved the day when an *unnamed* seafood store in Roselle, NJ decided that they weren't going to sell us one of the two bushels of steamed crabs they had that we preordered yesterday - but that's another story. We called almost every seafood market within a 10 mile radius with no luck. We drove up to Lindy's, which was packed with happy looking customers. The cashier was sympathetic to our situation, and informed us about the different pricing for the different options. He was so kind. We had been searching for somewhere in northern Jersey to get Maryland-style steamed crabs (my boyfriend is from Baltimore). Lindy's did not disappoint. The crabs were just like they serve in Maryland, with Lindy's own Old Bay spice. The crabs were also decent sized and DELICIOUS. Highly recommend!! Make sure to call in advance if you have a bigger order- we called the day before to order 5 dozen large crabs (came out to $28/dozen), and they were extremely polite and friendly to us. read more

Lindy's has allowed me to have my Maryland Blue Crabs, fully cooked and covered in old bay without needing to sit in the car for 4 hours to get down to Maryland! I usually don't like to write any negative reviews but nowadays its important to share experience. I walked in the place to get some food for my workers. I went to the fry counter and there was a Chinese lady working there who was the meanest person I have ever met. Money hungry and bad looks. I thought I will get a fresh fish but I noticed that these Chinese people sell old and smelly fish. She went in the back of the kitchen and brought some fish covered with paper so I cannot see. Small 2 pieces for 8.00 and plus stale, dark meat and smelly fish. Small portion of fries. UKHHHHHHHHH. I miss the real owners who were the best, they used to service local clients with heart and soul. I am an unhappy customer and I never said or complained about anything. I just walked away. I woke up from a nap wanting steamed shrimp so i googled steamed shrimp and Lindy's came up. It was only 5 min away so why not! The place is extremely clean and quick. I ordered 2 lbs of green mussels and 1 lb of medium shrimp with old bay for $24! It took a total of 7 mins to steam it. It was literally a 10 min trip and was so fresh and tasteful!
