The food is decent - I always seem to get something disappointing, but it's moderately good. It feels like it's getting more expensive though, as my husband and I spent £12 and 15 (respectively) the other night, and it wasn't exactly piled high (I was still slightly hungry afterwards), and that was without drinks, bread, or dessert. They also have changed dinner drinks ordering to where they give you a plastic card as your tab. You weigh your plates at the till as normal, but instead of ordering drinks there, you have to do so at your table. (They won't even let you order at the till - they instruct you to go back and order from the table.) It's needlessly complicated for something that should be a simple concept.

Finding Tibits was exciting since they had a huge selection of items we could both eat and the food was delicious! I was so thrilled to have so many options that I filled two plates and finished them both! My husband and I returned the following night for more! If you have food allergies you will be excited at the spread at this restaurant. If you don't have food allergies or restrictions, you will be surprised at the amazing flavors the restaurant has evoked from the food! My biggest revelation here was the "egg" salad. I have an egg allergy and haven't touched egg in about 10 years. Egg salad is one of those things that I really miss and Tibits nailed the flavor and texture. They used a spice I hadn't heard of prior (Kala Namak) to get the sulfurous flavor of the egg and it was spot on!

My friend and I stumbled across this cafe en route to an event and dropped in on our way home to try it. We both had a cup of herbal tea and I had a slice of cake. Staff were really friendly and it was a nice spot to spend an hour or so. The cafe also has various items for sale including plants, crockery, candles and kids items, however I found they were priced pretty high. This is why I dropped a star on my review as I found it was on the pricier side. Tea was £2 and a slice of cake/cupcake/pastry was £3. I did enjoy my tea and cake and the cake was homemade but it was a bit of a small portion to justify the £3 price. However I appreciate the vicinity of the cafe probably warrants the price and it is in quite a touristy area with the London Eye a 5 min walk away. The cafe has been there 4 months and it makes a change to visit a local business vs a chain cafe, hopefully it is here to stick around. So give it a go! Hopefully they will become a bit more generous with the portion sizes!!

Perfect seating area with electric fireplace, light jazz instrumentals, perfectly brewed tea and coffee, and just calming atmosphere. There isn't a huge sign that shouts where this place is, so I suggest you come and enjoy it before it gets too popular! This is truly a hidden gem and relaxing place to read a book, talk to friends, or just enjoy some time to yourself.

Met a friend here for dinner last night. Decent food but not worth a trip out of the way. The…read moreservice is also terrible, as a friend warned me before I went. The menu is limited and you don't know what it will be until you arrive. You can only make reservations through text or email, not phone. Cash only ::eye roll:: I got the puy lentil shepherd pie, with side salad, as did my friend. The portion size for £8 was decent but we both agreed it was just fine- nothing spectacular. Like someone else cited in a review, home cooking. I've had MUCH better vegan/veg food elsewhere. It's a very tight space and was much too warm for all the bodies packed in the space. Ventilation was seriously needed.

The interior is cosy and shabbily chic, with fairy lights, a piano, mismatched furniture, candles and flowers on each table and a fire in the winter. The small upstairs room is used for various classes and community events, or can be hired for birthdays etc. The noticeboard by the loo is crammed full of flyers for every goodly boho activity group/class you can think of. There's a choice from at least two different items for each course, and at about a tenner for 3 courses I have absolutely no complaints about the food. It is plentiful, simple, wholesome and yummy. Last time I went I had a very savoury mushroom and chestnut stroganoff with rice and several salads, and my friend had a comforting cheese and spinach souffle. The time before I think I had lentil shepherd's pie. It's BYO with no corkage charge, and there is a shop in Vauxhall station and a supermarket across the road from the station should you arrive empty handed. This is a lovely chilled place to enjoy a meal out, and anyone you take here will think that you are cool. If they don't, you probably shouldn't be friends/go out with them any more because they have no soul.

A fancy vegan café/ restaurant in Hackney. (I'm not a vegan. I'm mostly a pescatarian)…read moreIt's very LOUD though. I believe it's do with how they treated the walls and the ceiling. Poor acoustic treatment leading everyone to speak loudly, which compels people around them to speak even louder to get heard. And it's not that they were playing loud music either. At least the staff members were pleasant and helpful. The (vegan) croissant was suspiciously oval. I was suspicious at first, but I was pleasantly surprised; flaky on the outside and moist on the inside. It's not the same thing as real croissant, but if you think of it as a different kind of bread, it is very good. The main dish, brekkie bowl was pleasant enough but nothing mind-blowing. From scrambled tofu to stir-fried kale, they are all things I can make myself. The 'hummus' had a very weird, runny texture, and didn't really taste much like hummus. Which is weird, because hummus is supposed to be vegan!

I can't rightly write a full review as I didn't order food, though I don't see anything to complain…read moreabout except the prices, which are generally £1-2 more than I'd like. Given that this is London though... And given that it's a cafe with the word "vegan" in the name... I guess £1-2 more per item is a given? The sandwiches sitting in their glass case near the register did look delicious. A friend ordered the bagel and "lox" (£6), as Sarah J. mentioned in her review, and I tried a bite. It was definitely delicious, and fantastically seasoned to resemble smoked salmon in flavour, while the texture of the "salmon" (made of very thinly sliced carrot) even resembled lox somehow. I had a flat white made with oat milk, and that drink is the reason why I'm giving three instead of four stars. For £3, it was tiny, served in a chode of a glass (wider than it was tall) with a taste that just didn't bring the richness, uniqueness, nerve, and talent I want in my coffee. It is definitely a lovely-looking space, however, with nice indoor and outdoor seating that will be fantastic come summer. The ambience is a bit Bali-beach chic, a bit Topanga Canyon. Music is definitely chill and good to chat or work to. And who doesn't like hanging swing chairs and lots of plants? As mentioned above, the food did look good, and smelled great as it came out to various tables too. So oddly enough, though I'm giving three stars only, I may be back. I'd like to try the noms, and drink something other than a coffee. Beetroot? Turmeric? Peanut butter? Yes for the price of one I could be halfway to a full breakfast, but they might be wins.
