One of the worst things that can happen to you is to have your car breakdown along side a highway…read more Your mind becomes flooded with nothing but worry and you instantly get anxious. After attempting to call around to every shop in the Pittsburgh area I was actually able to find one that would see my car after it started to make a noise I've never heard before. I was on my way to have it looked at and then the engine blows and my car is crippled along the road. Watson was not my first choice to come to, but when you options have basically gone out the window, you go where you have to go. The tow truck driver came and picked me and my vehicle up and we were on our way to Watson. When we pulled in I was lucky enough for them to even take me. They were backed up with repairs as is and here I come rolling in with a broke down vehicle. My mind was racing as it was, from having to make a ton of phone calls to arrange things with just about everyone under the sun. Insurance companies, warranty companies, tow truck companies, GM, just to get a ride home. The gentleman, Mike, who was taking care of me could tell I was frazzled beyond belief and he took his time with me. Made sure I had everything in line so that this would be a smooth as possible process. He was really soft spoken which really did calm me down. Even though at first he had told me there was no loaner car, he ended up finding one. I was kept up to date about everything going on during this fiasco. Turns out my engine threw a rod through the front and back of the engine and then through the exhaust manifold. There was one thing taken off my mind, something that I had no control over, and it explained all the smoke flowing from my car and of course all the oil that was left behind me. Mike really did above and beyond for me. He made sure that this was still covered under the warranty and even had them pay for my loaner vehicle for the week that I had it. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle they had me on my way in no time. I was happy and relieved after the week I had had with it. Thank you so much for being able to fit me in and for making my car new again. A vehicle is basically a lifeline for us now and to have such a great company to make sure your lifeline is still in place is a nice thing to know.

I bought a new 2024 Silverado LT trail boss, at the end of April. I had a terrible sales…read moreexperience, due to the sales manager Ricky. I stopped in one night and was given an extremely low evaluation for my Silverado trade in. I was going to walk away and go to another dealership, but you had the truck I wanted. I came back and worked with Ricky again and received a fair deal. The issues came when I came back to pick up the truck. Ricky knew for two days what time I would be coming in. We agreed to have the truck ready to go because I was stopping in the middle of soccer games I coach. I verified with him the day before, the morning of, when I was 45 minutes and 10 minutes away. He only told me when it was at the light in front of the dealership, a certified check was needed for my down payment. This took me an extra 30 minutes. When I got to the dealership, nothing was ready. Finance didn't have any to jig together, the truck was not cleaned or washed. I ended up being there for over two hours that was supposed to be a promise of less than 45 minutes. I finally got the truck and started to leave. The dash had an issue where there was a large gap that you can see into the dash. I immediately told Ricky who told me to come in at 12 the next day and he would have service fix the problem. When I got there service all went to lunch at 12pm. Ricky would not see me and ignored my calls and messages, sending anything sales manager to talk to me. A service appointment was set up and they replaced the bezel. The same issue was there with the gap. The service tech told me that's how it was supposed to be. I know you're not supposed to be able to see into the dash board. I have had 3 silverados with the exact same set up and it was not like this on any of them. I also showed the tech another truck you had instock to prove my point. I then spoke to Mike the service manager. He set up to have the grey section of the dash replaced. After this the gap wins slightly better but still present. Mike was helpful and did try to appease me for the experience. The truck came back in and a different style of clips were added. I was told it was all fixed and a picture was sent to me straight onto the dash showing it was fixed. The issue is when looking at it slightly above is when you can see into the dash. So obviously the entire time you are driving. I let Mike know the gap was still there, he blamed me and said I was damaging my own truck. He referred me to Art Evans. Art opened a case with GM, there has been zero update from GM. I called Art and Mike which took me two days to get ahold of Art who never called me back but only responded saying he got my email and sent it to GM. We are on day three of no update from GM. With minor responses from Art, never calling me as I asked.

I have been dealing with Spangler for about two years now with three Subarus and have yet to notice a flaw in this business. I bought my second Subaru off off this place and would've bought the others but were unable to obtain my desired vehicle on their lot. We all know and loathe the kill of the sale that most crooked dealerships salesman pun about but not here. They genuinely want you to be happy and walk away with rock bottom price on your dream machine!!! The service transcends top notch. On this day i had an unscheduled oil change which. Took 20 min. Thats right....20 min!!!! The time it would take you to wait in a greasy burger pull up window..WOW!!!! The shop is impeccably clean with a lavish waiting area which sorry to say...I barely got to know!!!! The employees are super nice and knowledgeable and eager to help you with any need. This is one great reason why i will continue to own a Subie....and the fact i like bad ass speed!!!!!

The warranty does not cover diagnostics for major issues like the vehicle not starting on a random basis? What a scam and dis-service from a supposed service department. We had a horrible experience at Eastmont Auto Repair in Johnstown, PA. Despite promises, the owner…read morewas rude, unprofessional, and demanded an unfair fee to release my daughter's car. Avoid this business--he's untrustworthy and takes advantage of vulnerable customers. Long version: On Tuesday evening, my 19-year-old daughter's car broke down, blocking traffic. With no time to arrange a private tow, the police had it taken to Eastmont Auto Repair, Johnstown, PA She called them multiple times on Wednesday and Thursday and was repeatedly told they'd check the car and call her back--but they never did. She was also treated disrespectfully by the owner. Finally, at 3:00 PM on Thursday, the owner's wife answered. She said the issue wasn't the alternator, the car was running, and they wouldn't charge for storage since the delay was "their fault" (her words). They promised to call when it was ready--still no call. Impatient like her mother, my daughter, Sam, called again on Friday at 1:00 PM. The owner snapped, telling her to stop calling. Frustrated, she asked if she could pick up the car after work, around 5:00 PM. He told her to come at 7:30 PM be cause he would be there at that time. Knowing his unprofessionalism, Dan and I went with her. At 7:26 PM, she called to say we had arrived. He claimed he was on his way but insisted on doing a 15-minute test drive when he got there--his fourth check. Around 7:45- 8:00 PM, he still wasn't there. When my husband called to say we just wanted the car and no more checks, the owner responded rudely, loudly, and aggressively. Frustrated, Dan used the f-word, and the owner became even more hostile, yelling before hanging up on him. Concerned by his outrageous behavior, I called the non-emergency line but accidentally called the wrong station. When the owner finally arrived, he was screaming, acting erratically, and called me R*TARDED for calling the wrong police station. His behavior only got worse as the evening went on. When the police showed up, he suddenly demanded $355 in cash for storage, towing, and an $85 after-hours fee. When I pushed back, he raised it to $500, said he was closed, and told us to come back Monday. He looked completely unhinged--bulging eyes, a concerning smile and inappropriate laughter. In the end, Sam had just 15 minutes to get cash and was forced to pay $355 to get her car back. I feel so sad for her--barely an adult, working two jobs, saving for a crucial repair so her car passes inspection--only to have a grown man take advantage of her, break his word, and taking her money because he can. She was so upset she couldn't stop crying. It's been a tough couple of months for her, and it feels like she just can't catch a break. Moral of the story: Avoid this business at all costs. It should absolutely not exist. It casts a bad light on small business owners in Johnstown--one rotten apple spoils the whole bag. The owner is greedy, hostile, unprofessional, and preys on people in tough situations. If your car ever gets towed to Eastmont, get it out ASAP and don't engage--he cannot be trusted.
