I stopped in one night and was given an extremely low evaluation for my Silverado trade in. I was going to walk away and go to another dealership, but you had the truck I wanted. I came back and worked with Ricky again and received a fair deal. The issues came when I came back to pick up the truck. Ricky knew for two days what time I would be coming in. We agreed to have the truck ready to go because I was stopping in the middle of soccer games I coach. I verified with him the day before, the morning of, when I was 45 minutes and 10 minutes away. He only told me when it was at the light in front of the dealership, a certified check was needed for my down payment. This took me an extra 30 minutes. When I got to the dealership, nothing was ready. Finance didn't have any to jig together, the truck was not cleaned or washed. I ended up being there for over two hours that was supposed to be a promise of less than 45 minutes. I finally got the truck and started to leave. The dash had an issue where there was a large gap that you can see into the dash. I immediately told Ricky who told me to come in at 12 the next day and he would have service fix the problem. When I got there service all went to lunch at 12pm. Ricky would not see me and ignored my calls and messages, sending anything sales manager to talk to me. A service appointment was set up and they replaced the bezel. The same issue was there with the gap. The service tech told me that's how it was supposed to be. I know you're not supposed to be able to see into the dash board. I have had 3 silverados with the exact same set up and it was not like this on any of them. I also showed the tech another truck you had instock to prove my point. I then spoke to Mike the service manager. He set up to have the grey section of the dash replaced. After this the gap wins slightly better but still present. Mike was helpful and did try to appease me for the experience. The truck came back in and a different style of clips were added. I was told it was all fixed and a picture was sent to me straight onto the dash showing it was fixed. The issue is when looking at it slightly above is when you can see into the dash. So obviously the entire time you are driving. I let Mike know the gap was still there, he blamed me and said I was damaging my own truck. He referred me to Art Evans. Art opened a case with GM, there has been zero update from GM. I called Art and Mike which took me two days to get ahold of Art who never called me back but only responded saying he got my email and sent it to GM. We are on day three of no update from GM. With minor responses from Art, never calling me as I asked.

The rods failed in my 2016 Hyundai Veloster and the engine needed replaced. Regardless of proper oil changes or not the engine was going to fail because of its poor design. They build up carbon in the engine because it being direct fuel injected. If anyone has a Veloster regardless of the oil being full synthetic change it every 3-5,000 miles. I recommend a flush because the engine will build up sludge.

I first called them in July to inquire what my options would be and when I need to make a decision to turn it in or purchase. Ford lease company spoke to me and then sent me an e-mail confirming our conversation and what to expect. I asked if I could purchase direct from Ford lease and they said no, that I had to go to a dealership to purchase. I made an appointment with smail to purchase this vehicle. I went into the Ford/Lincoln showroom and was directed to a young man, introduced myself and advised my decision to purchase my leased vehicle. He asked if had a vehicle safety inspection and I advised him that I've already had conversations with the lease company and I had an e-mail advising what my responsibilities are and what to expect including exceeding mileage-not applicable; wear and use-not applicable; vehicle inspection-not required ; pay applicable fees such as taxes/license/registration. The young man at smail insisted they have a policy of a vehicle safety inspection. I asked if there was a cost and he said yes. I again reiterated my conversation with Ford lease company and the email confirmation of these details. The salesperson disregarded this information so, I left. I called Ford lease company again and explained my frustration with Smail automotive. I was told again the safety inspection was not necessary to complete our purchase. I was also told I could go to ANY Ford or Lincoln dealership to complete my transaction and if needed, call the Ford leasing company and let them speak to the dealership about this no applicable issue. So I called a Ford dealership just a couple miles away and they agreed to help me with my vehicle purchase with only license/title/registration fees and NO SAFETY INSPECTION. My advice to any customers leasing from Smail with intentions to purchase their vehicle is to NOT go back to smail but contact another local Ford dealership to avoid unnecessary charges and possibly other unnecessary charges. Well, I called SMAIL Kia. They were able to get me in the next day, which was excellent. The mechanic had called later and said that I needed new pads and rotors, and it was going to be $825. I thought that was a pretty fair price, but a bit on the high side, but of course agreed to it and they installed the brakes. I came to pick up my SUV and the bill was actually $668 instead of $825....a PLEASANT surprise! AND more in line with what the brake repair should be in my opinion.....The mechanic said he was able to save me some money, and I told him I NOTICED that and APPRECIATE it! Everyone was very kind and professional and they washed my car before leaving. Nice touch! Bottom Line....it does not take long for a person to catch on to what places like KR are doing, and believe me they are losing a great deal of business because of their practices (Including mine).
