I still order from here from time to time. It's one of the better Indian options in the AV. I've yet to eat inside, but it looks charming and pleasant inside. Their customer service has been sub par in the past, but the food is typically very good.

Food was tasty and the service was great too. We will definitely be coming back again.

Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice)

Was craving Indian tonight and where do I go? None other than the best spot in town, Malhis. I completely forgot and stopped by at 3pm and told they close the restaurant from 3-5pm daily. So no problem, just went to a nearby store to further work up an appetite and return back. Upon entering, properly greeted by staff, clean Interior. Ordered samosas and chicken tikka masala. An hour went by and no food, so that's why I knocked down one star. Restaurant wasn't busy so I don't know why slow service but servers apologized. Food was delicious, what I love about Indian is that embracing flavor, rich in savory condiments. Don't let size deceive you. At first glance I thought to myself the little canisters were so tiny but oh boy were they more than enough, enough to ask for trays to take home. Ordered a medium heat level on my chicken but must say, it was still pretty mild so wish it had a little more heat. Naans we're so light, fluffy and flavorful just in my opinion wish they were topped with more garlic. Overall very satisfied and left with a happy belly. Highly recommend, just hope next time service doesn't take as long for food to reach my table.

I do like to eat spicy food but I have to be very careful when ordering at Indian places. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Cauliflower Pakora, Regular and Spicy Garlic Naan. I enjoyed the Cauliflower But not the Tikka Masala. I will order it mild next time. I would definitely come back here and try the other items on the menu. Customer service is up to par. Gloria is the best!!!

Dishes are hit or miss at both locations. I've had pretty good to downright nasty. Won't be gambling there anymore.

Fantastic food! We are vegetarians so we had veggie biriyani and mushroom curry. Both were great and the service was on point!

I only liked the garlic naan from here. Do not order the butter chicken unless you want to get food poisoning, I almost threw up.

The name is spelled wrong. Mahli's not Malhi's. Is there any way to fix it?

No, Malhi's is correct. Look at the pictures. There's one with the front of the restaurant and it's spelled Malhi's.

Some of our favorite dishes are the chicken tandoori served on a sizzling hot metal plate, chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, saag paneer, basmati rice and garlic naan. The servings are generous and we always have enough to take home to dine again. Cocktails are very reasonable with a Moscow Mule priced at under $9. There are other alcoholic drink options in this low priced range, The buffet has many options and the food is just as tasty as regular dining, but I have only been to it a few times. We have become like family here receiving a big welcome every time we enter the door. The servers are attentive and polite and we are on a first name basis with many. Anuv has become one of our favorite servers as he greets us with a big smile and has our usual order memorized even though we dine here less than once a month. Another waiter, (Monny) went out to the neighboring grocery store to buy me a little cake for my birthday when we dined here on that day. There is room for large parties and the decor is nice with glass top tables. Lots of Bollywood music videos are shown and the music can keep you in a good mood, Definitely dine here if you love flavorful Indian food!

The food is…read moreconsistently good, the flavors are there, and if you're craving dependable Indian food, it usually delivers. The menu leans toward the familiar classics, but they're done well. Curries are flavorful, spices are balanced, and the dishes generally come out the way you expect them to. It's not trying to reinvent anything, but sometimes that's exactly what you want; reliable food that scratches the itch when the craving hits. Service can be a little uneven. When the restaurant is busy, things sometimes feel rushed. And if you're ordering takeout, take the pickup time with a grain of salt. If they say 20 minutes, mentally prepare for 40. It's not unusual for orders to run double the quoted time. Still, despite those quirks, this place has stayed in rotation for a reason. The flavors hold up, the portions are solid, and it's one of those dependable neighborhood spots you keep coming back to over the years.

Restaurant had one other person inside, service was quick and attentive. Interior was decent and had some hanging plants around the sides. Let's get to the food. Started off with some little fried like chips with a garlic paste sauce that was on the house, really tasty! Vegetable Samosa - 10/10 DELICIOUS! Spiced absolutely perfectly! Genuinely really good, and the sauce was extremely tasty (really loved the red one specifically, I think it's tamarind?). Interesting shape too. I wish you guys would make chicken samosas too, could take it to a 10000/10! Lamb Saag - 8/10 Really good! The lamb was quite good, not chewy (which is hard to come by). Could have been a little more tender, and the sauce itself could have been a bit creamier, but very solid. Garlic naan - 9/10 It's good garlic naan, enough said! Onion Kulcha - 8/10 Tasty onion kulcha! Lachha Paratha - 8/10 Good buttery flaky bread Ginger Ice Cream - 10/10 GET THIS, SO GOOD! Didn't expect to like it as I don't particularly care for ginger, but both gf and I LOVED IT! Get this! Kheer - 3/10 (GF rating 8/10) Never had this before, but for a rice pudding was not expecting this. Was extremely watery, like soupy. Definitely thought it would be thicker. Cardamom flavor was far too strong as well, not my thing. Gf loved it though! In fact she thought it paired great with the ginger ice cream.

Chef (Manny's wife, we didn't have the chance to ask her name) was gracious enough to create a custom meal for me after the item I wanted (shrimp tacos) sold out. I'm largely pescatarian/plant based and have allergies/sensitivities to other animal proteins, so her willingness to go above and beyond truly meant a lot. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY with how flavorful, and authentic, the chana masala, samosas and chutneys were. It was so sweet of her to create such a delicious and creative bowl that catered to my dietary constraints. Please trust me when I say that this food was 100% worth it. It would be fantastic if they took pre-orders for whenever they're in the area (we were told every weekend), because it would be a shame to miss this. I 10/10 recommend eating here. Amazing job.

Then we had the Palak Pakoras to start, which were nice in portion and very delicious.
