She was able to answer all of my questions and made sure to check on the health of my hair throughout the process. I trusted her 1000% and I have never even met her before. It is a longggg day so eat first! Or bring snacks like me Also, Grace is warm and kind. We had organic conversation but i also was able to just be quiet and enjoy being pampered. All of the staff were so kind and professional. The salon is clean and beautiful. This wasn't getting my hair done. It changed me. For the better. The way God Intended me to be.

I know how to take care of lash extensions. I wash them daily with foam cleanser I would buy from my lash extensions place, use lash coating & I always bring a small brush wand with me every where I go to brush them all the time. Because of the covid and with places reopening, I couldn't get a hold of my usual lash place so I decided to book an appt at Lure Lash in Somerville since they had open availability sooner. I was excited. I checked out their ig and read some good reviews. I was ready to go. My appt was for 3:35pm and I finished around 6pm... I was really surprised, but I didn't complain because I didn't have anything to do later that day. But what DID surprise me was that I had 2-3 lashes that fell out that same day... then it would be 3-5 lashes the next day.. and then the next. It would happen every day. My appt was a week ago and now that it's almost going to be a full 2 weeks since I've gotten them done, you can tell that if you see them, my right eye is a lot fuller than my left. I've never had this experience.. I was disappointed. I've been to 3 different lash places, with different technicians, and I never would've had a problem this bad before :( I was disappointed, I'm sorry. I am posting this update so consumers have full context following my initial review…read more Since the appointment, the condition of my hair has continued to deteriorate significantly. I have experienced severe loss of curl pattern and elasticity, excessive breakage, and a brittle, straw-like texture that did not exist prior to this service. The haircut is no longer wearable due to the damage and never able to enjoy the color service since it was defective, not only 4 shades darker then discussed/referenced but permanently damaged. Despite multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly and privately, the owner/stylist has not responded, acknowledged the issue, or offered any remedy. Due to the ongoing damage and lack of professional accountability, I have submitted a formal complaint to the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology for review. this has cost me about $800 between the defective services, permanent hair damage and restorative professional products. I am sharing this update so others can make informed decisions.

She is always so attentive and meticulous, never rushes and always makes sure when you leave your hair is "perfect". While she is doing your hair, they offer coffee or tea which is so nice. I also really appreciate the high quality products that they use to color, protect, wash, and style your hair. It makes a difference in how long your hair "lasts" before it needs to be cut or colored again. They also sell many of them in the salon which is helpful. Needless to say I am happy with the treatment here and I don't plan to go anywhere else!

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to make an appointment at this salon. When I called to…read moremake an appointment, I was told that for a single process root touch-up, it would be $50. My hair is black and that is what color I wanted my roots to be. When I arrived, I was greeted by the staff and felt okay at the beginning, up until I sat down. I can't remember the woman's name, but after offering me something to drink and asking me what I wanted done, this is when I knew something wasn't right. I wanted to explain to her that I wanted to have my roots done using a certain shade of black (my amazing stylist from Tampa wrote it down for me), and she stated: "Yeah I was going to put the darkest color on you anyways." Okay, fine. She walked away to mix the product, and when she came back out, she quite literally started applying the dye heavily and messily. She did not make any small talk (which wouldn't be a terrible thing if everything else went well) and instead was having a conversation with her coworkers. She finished applying the dye and walked away to sit down with her coworkers to continue a conversation. While I was sitting there, not once did she ask me how I was doing or if I needed anything (I didn't, but goodness, that's terrible customer service). Finally, she came back and told me to follow her to rinse my hair. She asked me if I wanted to blow dry my hair, and I asked her much that would be ($30). I asked her how much my root touch was going to cost me (she said $65, which is $15 over what I was quoted over the phone, and she barely used one bowl of dye). Honestly, if my experience with her was better, I would have opted for the blow dry, even though I was paying more than quoted. However, I was just over the whole process and told her I did not want the blow dry. While washing/rinsing my hair, she used the strongest setting on the hose and water sprayed all over my face and down my neck. Not once did she ask me if I was okay or if the temperature was okay. At the very least, she could have towel dried my hair so it wasn't a dripping mess, but I honestly was not surprised that she just let me go like that. She did brush my hair out so it wasn't a *tangled* dripping mess, which is why she gets 2 stars instead of one. After paying, I noticed that there wasn't a space for me to tip and asked for the nearest ATM. As I walked outside, my fiancé pointed to my face and neck and told me that I had splotches of dye everywhere. I looked in my mirror, and sure enough, there they were! After being charged more than quoted, and just the whole crappy experience, I decided not to return with her tip (it takes a LOT for me to not tip someone), and I will be taking my business elsewhere. I want to note that my issue was with this particular associate, and I don't ever want to hurt a business with my review. Perhaps the other associates are wonderful, and that's why this business has good reviews. I would suggest booking an appointment with the ones who are listed in the reviews for this business.

Clearly coming Xmas week was probably a bad move since more folks were in the mall. There was a line into the store in which folks were asked to keep properly distanced from each other. An employee did pas through the line a few times to ask who was on line just for gift cards since she could help process those immediately. I waited about 20 ish minutes, which isn't too bad. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with by someone asking if needed assistance. Why yes- I did! She was able to help match me (skin color) for a few "clean" products. I wandered the store for a bit and noticed they although arrows were quite obvious on the floor, customers weren't really seeing them and/or paying attention. Overall, the process they're following is quite solid..:they are the ones to assist with testers and use single use applicators to extract enough product for a sample. I felt good knowing this was practiced and it also feels a bit more sanitary compared to many many MANY hands using testers. I would certainly come back provided they keep it up.
