With her, I always get the results I want -- and with others, I never quite did. Mae listens, she gets it, and she delivers every single time. I always end up going back to her because I know I'll leave happy and confident with my hair exactly the way I like it. Even after I moved, I still drive over an hour just for Mae to do my hair -- that's how good she is. When you find someone like that, you don't let them go.

I made the appointment for 1:30pm on July 26, a Sunday afternoon. A friend made a separate appointment for her and her daughter-in-law at the same appointment time. On June 26 I received a text from the salon inquiring about our hair length and thickness to make sure we were booked for appropriate length of time. Great! Confidence inspired. The week of our appointments, on Tuesday and on Saturday, I received emailed appointment confirmation requests that required me to click on a link to confirm which I did each time. The emails also advised if we were late or cancelled we would be subject to a $25 fee. Totally fine because this is for a wedding and important--not cancelling and certainly not showing up late. At 11:50AM on the date of the appointment, I get a text asking if we can come in at 1:45pm instead of 1:30pm. I replied that no-we really can't. We have a wedding. Whoever it was texting replied--no problem--1:30pm is fine! We all four show up at 1:30pm which was apparently far from "fine". No one started on my hair until 2:05pm. The other 3 had theirs in progress at varying times later than 1:40pm. At no time did the receptionist come over to where I was sitting to offer any kind of explanation. She walked past me multiple times with no eye contact, no offer to refill water. I am starting to go in full panic mode as we were supposed to bring lunch and drinks to the groomsmen, I still need to walk back to the Hyatt, do makeup, get dressed, get the food and catch a shuttle to the wedding that is 15 minutes away. My stylist apologized when she finally started my appointment and said she had to "finish another girl up." They had to have either squeezed someone else in knowing that there was not adequate time (hence their text) or a person showed up late. Either way, 35 minutes late to start my appointment that they confirmed several times and then told me "1:30pm was fine" is absolutely unacceptable. When I went up to pay, there was no apology, no offer of a discount. I didn't blow my top because at that point, why? There's no way I'd entrust them again with keeping a schedule on an important day. I had to have someone else pick up the food. And mind you, this was a military wedding. Do you know how often I get to see my son and buy he and his friends lunch on an ordinary day, much less on an important day? Not very often. Rare in fact! I wish I would have done my own hair and saved myself the stress! Nothing like paying someone for panic.

I absolutely loved working with Meredith for my wedding. I visited Meredith in her studio for my…read moretrial run, and she walked me through each portion of the makeup application to inform me about the different products and usages. I found this enormously helpful, as I typically do not wear much more than light foundation, eye shadow, blush and mascara. Meredith asked me questions throughout the trial application and truly listened to my responses, even dialing back a bit on some color where she realized I was a little uncomfortable. I left her studio beaming and feeling pretty fabulous, and went home with a little gift bag of goodies to try out on my own. A few days following the trial run, Meredith emailed me the photos she took of the makeup, along with a list of products and suggestions. I cannot overstate how useful this was, and still is, especially for a makeup "newbie" like myself! Meredith also walked me through wearing false eyelashes, about which I was at first a little nervous. She even provided advice on what type of products and brands would work best on my skin. This had nothing to do with my bridal makeup -- Meredith just truly loves her profession. On my wedding day, Meredith and her assistant Laura arrived promptly and quickly set up, even placing the stools so that we could enjoy the view from the hotel window. It's the little things that Meredith does, like that, that make her such a fantastic vendor to work with. Meredith and Laura were flexible in quickly adjusting to our timeline, as all the ladies were also having their hair done simultaneously. They were both friendly, professional, and everyone (2 moms, 3 bridesmaids and 1 bride - yours truly!) was thrilled with their individual results. The makeup was gorgeous - you can see it here from our photographer's sneak peeks -- and this was with a whoooole lot of humidity! [http://www.amandamcmahonblog.com/maryland-wedding-photographer-carolyn-and-dave-sneak-peeks/] Meredith also gave each of us a gift bag, and each was matched to our exact products (lip, cheeks, foundation, etc). Again, it's the small, seemingly insignificant things that make such a huge difference in working with Meredith. I was so grateful to have my lip color at hand for quick reapplication throughout the night. I could not recommend Meredith more for bridal makeup. She is professional, kind, and above all, fantastically talented at makeup. Thank you Meredith, for being such an important part of my wedding day!

I only knew that I wanted a natural look; Meredith took the time to coach me through all of the steps until I had exactly what worked best for me. She has a great talent for accentuating features and letting the original beauty of a face shine through. I received no end of compliments about my makeup from everyone at the wedding, and the makeup still looked great after the reception, too. Meredith is a very responsive, prompt, and amiable beauty professional. I highly recommend her services.

I did research and stumbled upon Jennifer! I was quite nervous about the process, the semi-permanence of it and level of pain tolerance. I just didn't know what to expect but a friend had nano brow done and recommended it. Jennifer was very patient with my questions. We did a consultation and then I came in for the procedure. Her salon is clean and pretty. Like many, I was nervous with how dark my brows looked at first but trust Jennifer! They will fade after the healing process and get lighter. Then the brows really look natural. My pain tolerance is probably on the lower end and I thought it was overall tolerable. Some areas there was little discomfort; some areas on your brows there's more discomfort if it's a sensitive area. After a week later, I came back to do lash lift and I am so glad that I did! I am Asian and my straight lashes actually curl up now! No pain or discomfort with this procedure. Love the lash lift and plan to touch up every 8 weeks. About 7 weeks after my first nano procedure, I went back for the brow touch up session and another lash lift. Overall, I'm thrilled that I found Jennifer for my brow and lashes services! She's so lovely and easy to talk to. You will love working with her! It's worth it!

I told the greeter I was there for pickup and was directed to stand in a line of about 10 people. That alone defeats the entire purpose of ordering online. After I pushed back, she called for help. Another associate came over...only to tell me the exact same thing, to get in line. At that point, I said cancel the order and started to leave. As I'm walking out, she says "you can cancel the order" in a dismissive tone. So I walked back in and asked for the manager. Of course, the person giving the attitude was the manager, Blanca. Instead of resolving anything, she tells me she's busy helping another customer and can't grab my order. Then follows me to the door continuing to explain how busy the store is and that they've had "issues." None of that is the customer's problem. What's wild is that the store was full of associates, yet no one could take 30 seconds to retrieve a prepaid order. No ownership. No urgency. No accountability. I canceled my order with customer service immediately after and will not be returning to this location. If you actually want a seamless experience, go to Tysons Corner, One Loudoun, or Mosaic instead.

I'm always a little nervous if a makeup artist can do make up for my skin tone but Liv didn't hesitate and jumped right in with her sparkling g personality.
