I've been a customer of Mia's for several years now, and she never disappoints. For the longest…read moretime, I kept things pretty simple, I would get a basic eyebrow wax and usually saved makeup and lashes for special occasions. I remember telling Tymia that I was going on a girls' trip and planned to get my usual brow wax. She immediately encouraged me to step it up a little. After all, I was going on a girls' trip! She suggested that I get my lashes done and try brow mapping and tinting for a more polished, glamorous look. I trusted her judgment, and I'm so glad I did! The difference was amazing. My brows went from simply looking nicely waxed to looking fabulous. Between my brows and lashes, my entire look was elevated, and I absolutely loved how I looked in my pictures. I often tease Tymia and tell her she did that "Mia Magic," but that really is the best way to describe it! Tymia also does an amazing job with individual lashes. I had always been a little apprehensive about lash extensions, but she completely took that apprehension away. They are so comfortable that I literally forget I have lashes on. What I really appreciate is that she listens to what you want and customizes your lashes to fit your personal style. I'm pretty conservative and prefer a very natural look, but I still want my eyes to look brighter and more polished. I also have dark circles, and I've found that lashes really brighten my eye area and make such a difference. Mia gives me just enough glamour without ever making me feel overdone. Whether she's doing my brows, lashes, or makeup, she knows how to enhance my features while still making me look like myself. That's the Mia Magic!

On the day of our wedding, my wife--who is always beautiful--looked absolutely enchanting. Tymia…read moredid an incredible job and truly exceeded our expectations. She is an extremely talented Baltimore makeup artist and bridal makeup artist, but what stood out just as much as her talent was how much she genuinely cared about my wife and the entire bridal party. From the beginning, Tymia was professional, punctual, organized, calming, and easy to communicate with. She made everyone feel comfortable, and as the wedding got closer, we only became more confident that we had chosen the right person. You can truly feel the love and passion she has for what she does. And then there's her technical skill--unmatched. The makeup was natural but polished, photo-ready, and long-lasting, and she did an amazing job working with the diverse skin tones in our bridal party. Everyone looked incredible without looking overdone. She handled the bridal party makeup beautifully and made the entire on-location makeup experience smooth and stress-free. When people saw my wife and the bridal party, one of the first questions we kept hearing was, "Who did their makeup?!" That alone says everything. If you're looking for a professional bridal makeup artist in Baltimore with great communication, amazing customer service, and the ability to make everyone feel and look their best, I highly recommend Tymia. She played a special part in making an already unforgettable day even more beautiful. 10/10 experience!

I would give A-List beauty no stars if I could. I hired them for hair and makeup for my wedding…read more The trial could not have gone worse. It. Was. A. Joke. A lot of these places have you pay a significant amount of money to do a trial (like $500) because it creates a psychological motivation to continue to do business with them (the sunk cost fallacy). Ladies do not be victim to this- even if you paid $500 and the trial goes poorly, do not give them more money! I paid the non refundable deposit to Ariel Lewis, and gladly paid another company $1,500 just to not look (and more importantly FEEL) like I did after my trial with A-List. The other company was professional, kind, used actual beauty products (see below), let me watch what they were doing, and were friendly. Find a company that works with you for your big day. Not works you for the paycheck. Hopefully this will save you the $500 trial with A-List: Let's start with hair. The biggest red flag was that she wouldn't let me watch while she was doing my hair so that I could be "surprised" - I was surprised all right. She admitted to me she had not looked at the inspo pics they asked me to send in, and asked to see them. She looked at the first one and said "K I got it." She didn't have it, because what was created was a departure from my looks. It wasn't a terrible style if it had been done well. I mentioned concern about the longevity of the look day of, and she said confidently it would last even though I could feel the pins slipping. I said repeatedly my hair texture is fine and doesn't hold curl. She said "Not the way I curl" and then put wax in it to "help." Everyone with fine hair knows wax weighs it down. It did not last. Not even through 90 min minutes of sitting still and getting makeup done (much less a whole wedding...). My trial was done at 11:30am and by 1:30pm my hair had fallen out of the bun into the two sad looped pony tails she had used to create the look, and was in straight tendrils around my face. Not a curl in sight. Even the initial finished looked was frizzy and you could obviously see pins. The best part was that the A-List makeup trial was after hair and she came in and asked "what time my hair trial was?" hahah. "Oh you couldn't tell it just happened? Your teammate just gave me an updo, obviously!" Lol Next was makeup. Ladies. They used E.L.F products. Correct- the products you buy for your nieces and occasionally find at the dollar store. I get it, this isn't the main event, it's just the trial so maybe they use different products day of? If so, that negates the purpose of the trial... I want to have my shades matched and confirmed which is part of the trial one would think. I paid for airbrush makeup- she did zero prep the skin. She pulled the machine out and started spraying- didn't even pin my face framing hair pieces back so there was a distinct line not blended around my face where my hair had been. The airbrush went on cakey and flakey and actually aged me about 10 years. It's not for every skin type so that's part of it, but at least try and prep the skin. I sent Hailey Bieber natural dewey inspo and she did old church lady rosy pink cheeks I am not kidding. Bright. Pink. And round. I looked like a toy soldier, even after I asked her to keep blending. The whole thing was a joke. It also didn't last despite paying for airbrush- which I was grateful for because I would not have gone out looking like that. When I reached out to Ariel Lewis to tell them I would not be using them for my wedding and talk about how disappointed I was, I was intercepted by an admin. Interestingly, I didn't ask for a refund but the very first thing the admin said when I said I wouldn't be moving forward was that I wouldn't get a refund. This exchange told me a lot about how they do business and their priorities. I asked to speak to Ariel to provide feedback. I never heard from her. Guess it's on me to keep reaching out? I was then told I could do the trial again with the same artists. Nah I'm good... If it were my business with my name on it- I would be embarrassed by this. Pics below of hair. I didn't want my face out there on the internet so I didn't post makeup. So- ladies, save yourself the money with A-List. Unless you want a good laugh- My Maid of Honor was there and we still get out the "after" pictures so we can have a good chuckle over wine. I hope this saves another bride the stress and money I wasted on the A-List.

Very POOR Customer Service. Extremely POOR communication. Why does a company refuse to list itself…read moreon Google? So they can avoid all the negative reviews. So it's not a surprise that A-List has no Google listing and minimal reviews available... do the math. It doesn't add up to a reliable and professionally behaving company.
