TRUTH: DON'T EVER HIRE ADRIANA GARCIA-MAGADAN!!! She deserves ZERO stars for not showing up to appointments and claiming other artists' work as her own! I own a bridal beauty business and Adriana was one of the artists on my team scheduled to do a bride's hair styling. On the day of the hair trial, she was on time & did a wonderful job. Our bride loved her look and was very excited for her big day. Fast forward to a year later on the wedding date (6/25/16), Adriana decides NOT TO SHOW UP ON WEDDING DAY! ADRIANA DID NOT CALL, TEXT OR EMAIL anyone. Throughout the 1 year after the bride's initial trial, we kept in contact and I kept sending updates and everything was fine. She even double checked with me on the date because she got another bride who wanted to book her for the same day. 4 days before, she even texted me confirming the wedding time & address. The day before she was sent the contract and final wedding details. She confirmed and everything seemed great until SHE DIDN'T SHOW UP. I think she ended up booking the other wedding and, in turn, sabotaged my business - see photo (she posted pics from the other wedding on IG)! My artists and I had to bust ass and work double time to accomodate all appointments (total of 11 for makeup and hair + an additional guest that wanted services) and made sure they were still done on time (and we did it - BECAUSE WE ROCK!!! Thanks to my multitalented artists Sarah A. & Phoebe T.). Also CHECK HER REFERENCES (actually call past clients and speak to them - for anyone you hire)! SHE STEALS OTHER ARTISTS PHOTOS & PROMOTES IT AS HER OWN WORK. MY WORK IS ON HER WEBSITE ON THE FRONT PAGE and is STILL THERE AFTER I ASKED HER TO REMOVE IT A YEAR AGO! I'm a boudoir photog & gave her TWO chances with a client. The first time she complained of a migraine just an HOUR before the shoot, leaving me with no time to secure another artist. I hired Adriana to do my hair and make up for my bridesmaids and myself for my wedding (March 2016). Before hiring her I set up a trial and she came to my house. She was professional, understanding and knew exactly what I wanted. She called and text me to let me know when she was leaving her place and when she arrived to mine. I've had my make up done professionally before and knew what worked with my face/eye shape. I expressed that to Adriana and she got it. Where as in the past the artist did what they wanted and I was an unhappy client. The following days after my trial, I booked Adriana. We stayed in contact leading up to my wedding. I gave her a quick outline of what my morning would look like the day of. I was unsure if she would have time to complete everyones hair and make up in the time given. She was more then happy to suggest that she bring an assistant to help out. I'm glad she did. Because we started and finished on time with no time to spare! She was really, really, sweet when I first contacted her. I booked her to come over at 11am on Saturday the 14th because that was prom day. She texted around 10:30 she'd be late. I said okay. She texted again at around 11:05 saying she was packing up, and heading to me. I said okay see you in about 20? No response. It was 11:30, she didn't have the decency to call but she texted me a voice recording saying she had to eliminate me and some other clients. In her message she said "don't feel great about this but it has to happen okay bye". Honestly? So inappropriate. I will give her credit! She gave me a bunch of disconnected numbers to call so they could cover me. So on prom day, make up stylists busiest day of the year, you can imagine how horrible it was trying to find someone else to do my makeup. I saw a couple similar reviews about her consistency to follow up and her reliability. I'm disappointed and appalled. I recommend BeGlammed. Open 24/7, and they come right to your door, doesn't matter how short the notice they usually are able to accommodate- if you have a similar experience to mine with Adriana at least you're covered and have a backup plan. She gives makeup stylists a bad name. I'm pissed with Adriana and I advise against her service. read more

On 9/4/15 I reached out to Adriana to schedule her doing my makeup for my birthday party which was on 10/10/15. She responded she would be available after a wedding she was scheduled for in the morning and would be available after 1:30 -ish. That was perfect with me. She asked for my address and everything was confirmed - date/time and cost. On the Thursday at 5:44 PM, 10/8/15 , before the scheduled event, I texted her just to confirm the date and time of the scheduled appt. It was shown as delivered on my I-phone. Nothing - no response! I texted again Friday 10/9 @ 9:05 AM same thing - asking her to respond. Again - NO RESPONSE. Message Shown as delivered. I left her a voicemail message - NO RESPONSE! Finally, on Friday, 10/9/15 @ 7:01 PM - I texted again, basically asking her to acknowledge that she is not coming over the next day - asking her to "at least respond". NO RESPONSE! I know she is alive as her Facebook page stated she was doing the wedding make-up on the Saturday, same day of my event. I am bewildered and shocked that Adriana never wrote back, never even acknowledged my existence!! Could you imagine hiring her for a wedding???? And she never even responds or acknowledges the confirmed apt??? SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL! I still would like an explanation, but certain none will be forthcoming! read more
