I had the most wonderful experience with Claire! She is patient, professional, reasonably priced and super fun to work with! During my bridal trial, she listened closely and we found the perfect products and look I wanted. My bridal party was super happy with their makeup and we had anything from acne to mature skin looking amazing. My bridal look withstood multiple teary breakdowns, eating, hugging and sweating all day! She was super helpful and calm when I was not and I now have gorgeous photos due to my makeup looking perfect all day. read more

Claire did my bridal makeup along with my bridal party's makeup and WOW. I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. She helped my vision come to life and somehow elevated it to something even better. A dog bit my face the night before my wedding and I was certainly nervous about covering it up.. and Claire made it look like it was never there, and still left a flawless finish! I can't believe how talented she is as an artist and how kind, fun, calming, and empowering she is as a person. I would hire her 10000 times over. read more

I've used Claire four times now - maternity shoot, baby shower, 2 holiday family shoots. Loved my experience every single time! She's so personable and easy to talk to, it honestly feels like talking with an old friend. Her technique is flawless and very sanitary! Can't praise her enough. Claire is wonderful!  She did a beautiful job on my bridal and my bridesmaids makeup! For the trial she came to my house, which made it super easy on me in the middle of the wedding planning stress. She understood my vision and was very committed to making sure that I completely happy.  We tried a couple different lip colors during the trial and she checked in a couple days later to make sure that it stayed well all day. Her calming personality was perfect on the morning of the wedding day! read more

Claire and her assistant did the most amazing job on mine and my bridesmaid makeup for my wedding in November!! It was exactly what I wanted. Everyone looked so natural and had a beautiful glow. My bridesmaids loved her so much one of them booked Claire for her own wedding. Not only did Claire do the best job, she was beyond sweet and accommodating. I was in a little bit of a panic while getting my makeup done (my wedding dress was somehow missing and no one knew where it was :/) and Claire kept me on track and focused. She helped me not completely start to freak out. I would recommend her to anyone!! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Claire! She did my makeup for my wedding in January 2022 and also my sister-in-laws makeup (and mine again) for her wedding this July. When I say she is the best, I truly mean it. She is so professional in her craft and knows what she's doing, I knew I could trust her whole heartedly. The makeup she does is natural but enhancing and makes everyone's skin look flawless. On top of her skills, she is so genuine and sweet and brings the perfect aura for a usually stressful wedding day. All of my bridesmaids and my sister in law's bridesmaids expressed the same sentiment. I will recommend Claire to anyone and everyone and will definitely use her services for all big events going forward!! read more

Claire has been doing my makeup for our annual family portraits for many years, she is a master! I don't know how she does it, but she manages to make me feel beautiful each and every time. I'm a tired mother of two small kids and business owner, so she has her work cut out for her each time I call! I typically don't wear a lot of makeup and have very sensitive skin to most products, so I usually ask for a natural look and nothing too harsh. She delivers each time, while keeping my skin happy. I especially love her calm and professional demeanor since family portraits are stressful enough with young kids! I wish I would've known about Claire when I was getting married 13 years ago! Thank you Claire, I won't go to anyone else for my makeup needs. I highly recommend her if you are looking for an exceptional MUA! read more

Claire is an absolute dream to work with! Perfect elevated natural make-up look. Definitely book if you're in San Diego/North County!! I feel so lucky to have worked with Claire for my first branding shoot. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. I'm so impressed by how efficient and easeful communicating with Claire was. She responded to my initial email in less than 24 hours, and within a few days, we had a phone call to discuss my vision and a time and date set for the shoot. Claire's presence over email, phone, and in-person is calm, supportive, and empowering. I wanted a natural make-up look that made me feel like myself, just slightly enhanced, and Claire did just that but better than I could've hoped for. She blew me away with the quality of her products, her skill, and how comfortable she made me feel. I felt so beautiful the entire day of my shoot. Thank you, Claire! Definitely book with her if you're in search of a make-up artist. You'll be thankful you did. read more

I absolutely loved working with Claire on my big day! She came highly recommended from one of my bridesmaids and I knew from the moment I saw her work that she would be perfect. She is so thoughtful and sweet, and drove all the way up to me in Orange County for both my trial and my wedding day! She alone did myself, my six bridesmaids, and my mom on the big day with airbrush and lashes and was totally on-time, professional, and fun and absolutely everyone just glowed! Claire is simply the best. She did my makeup in the morning for head shots that I had at noon. Not only did I look beautiful, but the makeup stayed perfectly all day long (and I have pretty "dewy" skin). I received the photo proofs back and they already look touched-up because the makeup made me look and feel gorgeous. I got compliments all day long from friends and coworkers who loved the natural and flawless makeup. Claire has also done my makeup for a wedding and has done the bridal party makeup at a few weddings I've attended. I'd recommend her to anyone! read more

I am so thankful that I found Claire to do the hair and makeup services. Claire was responsive, sweet, and accommodating. She was transparent with all of her pricing and services from the start. She is beyond talented with her makeup skills as my bridesmaids helped me find her just from the photos of her work. At the trial, she was super professional. She took photos and notes, and forwarded it to make sure we were on the same page. I also wanted to add that she did great with our Asian eye shapes!! Claire was so accommodating about all of the changes I threw at her up until less than a week before the wedding. She is so sweet and her and her team, KC and Megan, made all of the girls feel comfortable reassuring us that we were in good hands on the wedding day. I had a huge bridal party with 12 of us getting our hair and/or makeup done, including our mothers, which made me nervous about timing for the day. However, we were ahead of schedule at one point! We ended with plenty of time for photos with our photographer. I am so glad Claire and her team spent the morning with us and I would 100% recommend her to anyone who wants a worry free experience! read more

I was lucky to find Claire when I was a bridesmaid! I loved how well she understood what I wanted, and her prices were very reasonable for my own budget. I was already engaged at the time and immediately requested her for my wedding too! She also came to my apartment the day of my engagement photoshoot to do my wedding trial, which was also perfect! I don't ever wear more than some eyeshadow and mascara, so having my makeup done is pretty foreign to me. Claire did a great job explaining everything and made the whole process easy and comfortable. I loved my all matte, natural look! Overall very happy with my choice of makeup artist and I'm going to insist that all 6 of my unmarried bridesmaids consider her for their future weddings! 10/10 would definitely recommend!!! You won't regret it :) read more

Claire did my makeup for my wedding and absolutely nailed the look I was going for. I wanted my makeup to be natural but enhanced. I still wanted to look like myself but have my makeup be noticeable in pictures. I am very picky with makeup, even though I don't wear a ton. I plan on continuing to use her for any big occasions I have. She also has a very calming presence about her, which is great for any stressed out brides. I will continue to recommend her to any and all of my friends. I received so many compliments on my look and have her to thank for that! read more

Claire is absolutely amazing! She did my makeup for my engagement pictures and wedding, as well as some of my bridesmaids on my wedding day. She made me feel so beautiful, but I still felt like myself, which was really important to me. Our pictures came out perfect and my makeup lasted all day and night as well! She's truly an artist. Besides being unbelievably talented, she is also extremely professional and reliable. She was so helpful in assisting me to organize the wedding morning schedule. She showed up on time and insured that everyone was finished on time as well. I would 100% recommend Claire to anyone looking for an incredible makeup artist in the OC area! read more

Working with Claire was a dream and I cannot praise her enough for her work and just overall vibe. I planned my wedding from out of state and searched online for recommendations and reviews for hair and makeup artists. A lot of the people I reached out to just emailed me a pricing list, but I found it really important to have a phone conversation about what I wanted and also to get a sense of personality. After all, they're basically an extension of your bridal party that day since you're with them for several hours in the morning of your wedding! After my first chat with Claire I knew I wanted to work with her and her pricing was well within the same range of the other quotes I was getting. I wear makeup everyday, but I'm a very never-worn-fake-eyelashes-before kind of plain Jane. I didn't want to look overdone on my wedding day to the point where my husband didn't recognize me and she totally got that. I did a couple trials for hair and make up with Claire and KC and we made changes along the way. They were so easy to talk to and get along with it and everyone looked and felt beautiful on our wedding day. Even my mom, who was dead set against having her makeup done, was soooo excited how it turned out. Subtle yet elegant and enough to hold for the full day. She looked and felt absolutely beautiful, which made me feel amazing. My advice for brides that don't wear a ton of makeup is to speak up. Claire totally listens to what you want and you can tell she really loves what she does. She's the sweetest person and you'll be so excited, lucky and overall thrilled to work with her! read more

I am so happy with my decision to use Claire Alyse Makeup for my wedding! I met Claire when she did my makeup for my sister's wedding. Not only is Claire incredibly sweet and fun to talk to while she makes you beautiful, she has an innate talent to exhibit specific makeup looks. I am not experienced when it comes to makeup so my explanation for what I wanted on my wedding day and rehearsal dinner night was probably unclear and yet Claire some how executed exactly what I wanted. Not only is she a talented artist, she is detail oriented and organized in planning for 7+ girls. She hired an assistant, created a timeline, and was flexible when some of the times conflict with hair schedules. She is an excellent communicator, has affordable prices, and is an overall pleasant person to be around! read more

The girl knows what she's doing and I couldn't be happier with the way the pictures have turned out from our e shoot and wedding. You will love Claire!!! read more

Claire is truly the ultimate make-up professional and wedding day extraordinaire. Make-up wise, Claire did two trials to confirm the exact look I had in mind for my wedding day. As I normally don't wear a lot of make-up, she guided me towards the natural look I was looking for and also included that touch of glam I wanted on my wedding day! On my wedding day, not only was MY make-up flawless, but my bridal party looked stunning as well! Claire knew how to highlight each bridesmaid's naturally gorgeous features while keeping the overall bridal party look consistent with a day-time glam look. Beyond make-up, Claire is quite thoughtful and took initiative connecting with my other vendors (photographers and day of coordinator) to ensure the "getting ready schedule" was perfectly timed. I felt so happy and relaxed all morning while I was getting ready, as I knew I was in the best of hands with Claire. She made my wedding day so absolutely special - Claire is a GEM! read more

This review was my pleasure to write!!! Claire and I met for a trial and I loved sitting with her! She was prompt and came to me, which was amazing since I was in from out of town.
