Tara did my hair and makeup for my daughters weddding and she did amazing. I felt so beautiful. My hair was my biggest concern because I had very thin hair and am balding a bit. I had some hair extensions to help and she worked them in and made my hair look full and gorgeous. I didn't have to worry or think about it all day. And my makeup made me glow! Not only is Tara great at what she does, but you will not meet a kinder and sweeter person. She went above and beyond and I would lot hesitate to give my full recommendation of her work. You will not be disappointed! read more

Tara is a wonder with hair! She arrived early morning, the day of my daughter's wedding, bringing with her such enthusiasm, joy, and positivity! She captured each bridesmaid's (and this mother-of-the-bride's) vibe & style wonderfully. And with such warmth, grace, and professionalism. The bride? Oh my! Her long, flowing curls and ethereal braid with woven flowers was take-your-breath-away beautiful. It was a happy surprise to see how intact all our hair was 14 hours later. How lucky we were to have discovered Tara.... she does extraordinary work! Thank you, Tara! read more

Tara was super sweet! She was also very responsive to all my inquiries and last-minute add-ons/services. On the day of my wedding she was so kind and sweet to all of my bridesmaids and my mom. She made us all look very beautiful with the hairstyles we requested. She even went out of her way to contact my make up artist to make sure their schedules would align. I did not have time to do a hair trial due to my schedule, but Tara made me feel very comfortable and the minute I showed her what I wanted she made my vision come to life. My hair held on throughout the night and I felt like a beautiful bride! Thank you, Tara for being part of my special day and for working your magic! read more

Working with Tara was an absolute delight! From our first email exchange she was professional, kind, and enthusiastic. I hired Tara and her team to do hair for me and my bridal party for my wedding in San Diego in October. I went in for a bridal preview beforehand so we could have a hair trial and Tara put me at ease immediately and helped bring my bridal hair dreams to life! She is a pro at the bridal boho curly look and she has a great attention to detail. Plus she is SO sweet and just a joy to be around! Our wedding day went so smoothly! Tara and Luz arrived on time and got through all 8 of us with time to spare. We were all so happy with how our hair turned out! My hair is normally very fine and tangly so I was worried it would look messy as my wedding night went on, but it stayed up so well and fell beautifully throughout the night. I highly recommend hiring Tara and her team for your bridal hair needs-- you will be SO happy with her and your hair will look gorgeous!! read more

I do not think I will ever have the words to describe how grateful I am for Tara and how perfect she made my special day. When I reflect back on my wedding, one of the first thoughts that comes to my head is how blown away I was with my decision to hire Tara. The work she did with my hair and my bridesmaids' hair was absolutely amazing. I had a vision for what I wanted and she executed my vision flawlessly. I received more compliments on my hair than I can count. In addition to her amazing hair magic, Tara is genuinely one of the kindest, most loving, and most fun people to be around. She genuinely feels like a ray of sunshine that illuminates every room she walks into. She goes above and beyond to make sure the getting ready process is stress-free for the bride. Without a single ounce of reservation, I would recommend Tara and her team to any bride. To put into perspective, I am a Los Angeles native whose wedding was in L.A., and despite being surrounded by tons of local hair professionals, I decided to hire Tara who is in located all the way down in San Diego. She is THAT good!!! Trust me, you will not regret going with Irresistible Mess. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tara. She is as kind as she is talented. From the very beginning, she was communicative and accommodating. When I met her for the first time at my bridal preview for my hair I instantly knew I was in good hands. She made me feel comfortable and really took an interest in who I was as a person. Tara took the vision I had for my hair and used her expertise to elevate it and make it exactly what I wanted, but MORE. I loved my hair so much I didn't need anything changed, and somehow on my wedding day, it was even more stunning. Furthermore, she made each of my bridesmaids feel special and they each looked beautiful. Tara is professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and just so lovely. I got so many compliments on my hair on my wedding day, with some guests saying my hair looked like that of a Disney princess which I think is the highest compliment. Tara was an absolute joy to work with. Thank you, Tara! read more

Tara and Jamie were the sweetest ladies I got to work with! I had a trial look months before the wedding and they really listened to what I hoped to achieve on the wedding day. They were so fun to be around and we talked about life like I've known them before. On the day of, they were very professional and made sure everyone was taken care of. The schedule sent to me was followed accordingly and we weren't behind at all. Tara made sure to work with me on the schedule because there were people traveling far so we had to accomplish a different time for them. Jamie worked her magic on my make up, and we built it until it was the perfect shade for me! My makeup complimented my skin, in a way that it didn't take over my face completely. I wanted the natural but bronzy look and she did just that! I really loved the look and it wasn't hard to do a touch up on because it stayed for a long time! For my hair, I had 3 different looks for 3 different outfits and somehow, Tara was able to make those possible for me in a one day event. I loved the look because it was able to enhance my dress in a way I could have never imagined! The best thing about them is that they're great at communicating! That was super important for wedding planning. I can go on and on but I think they did an amazing job overall and really helped me look my best and very pretty on our wedding day! read more

Tara is the sweetest and an absolute joy all around! She responds to emails/texts in a flash, punctual, knows what she's doing, and has so much fun doing it. Tara listened to my concerns about hair/makeup for my bridal party, and brought her A-game. She and makeup artist KC nailed the hair and makeup for each woman in my bridal party and our flower girl. They were both arrived early and were absolute bundles of fun and made the morning so enjoyable. They finished everyone's looks with so much time to spare, and everyone looked their best and so beautiful, I was so blown away! The hair and makeup lasted ALL DAY for everyone, even after happy crying, and dancing all night. I would highly recommend Tara for your bridal party! read more

Without a doubt, book Tara (and Jamie) for your hair and makeup for your wedding day. Tara and her team did my hair and makeup along with 8 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, and two mothers and we were all so blown away by their talent, professionalism, and timing of everything. Literally everyone in my bridal party was overly pleased with their hair and makeup and their pricing is incredibly reasonable. 5 stars doesn't even do them justice. We cannot say enough amazing things about Irresistible Mess! Tara and Jaime were a dream to work with and we are so thrilled that we found them! The entire process from the hair trial to the wedding day was a breeze. They listened to exactly what we wanted and made us look and feel our best! They are incredibly talented and worked from a couple pictures we showed them with no problem at all. Each person in our group has different skin types, hair types and tastes and yet they could do it all without any problems. Their calm and sweet attitudes were so helpful on the wedding day and made everyone feel at ease. We would recommend them to anyone for their wedding day or special occasion and we will be using them again as well. Stop looking, just book them now! read more

Where to begin. Tara is the nicest, sweetest, most talented hair stylist. I have long, straight, doesn't hold a curl hair. And of course, I wanted half up/half down all curled hair for my wedding. I was amazed at my trial when my hair (well most of it) was still holding a curl the next day. Knowing I have hard to curl hair, Tara had me check in with her to let her know how my hair was doing throughout the day. Let her know a few pieces fell, but for the most part it was holding strong. Day of the wedding, she had a game plan to make sure my hair held for as long as possible - setting my hair in curls early (grandma hair) and styling last. After all of the photos and dancing, my hair was still holding a curl at 11:30pm. Magic!! I truly had the best experience with Tara! I would hire her again, and again. She was also amazing with my two flower girls. One of my flower girls HATES people touching her hair, but Tara was able to curl her hair and give her two braids. Her IG is actually where I found her - lots of great photos there of her work. She hadn't released her 2022 calendar when I was looking to book her. She can do any hair style, but her boho, slightly rustic vibe was everything I wanted. I think I booked her the day she opened up her 2022 calendar. No regrets; one of the best decisions. read more

I would highly recommend Irresistible Mess to anyone looking for a bridal stylist! I booked Tara for myself, three moms and four bridesmaids for my wedding in San Marcos. She did an AMAZING job with everyone and genuinely cared about making sure everyone was 100% satisfied with their hair. Everyone wanted a different style and she completely nailed it...everyone looked so beautiful! I received so many compliments, and it still looked perfect by the end of the night! Not to mention, Tara is just the sweetest and she really helped me stay calm during the day while getting ready. From the first day I met Tara, I knew she was the stylist for me and she would be the perfect person to have as part of my wedding day. I highly recommend this lovely, talented lady for any and every bride!!! read more

Tara was my hair stylist on my wedding in August last year and I can't say enough good things about her as a person and her incredible work! She is absolute magic and can do all these amazing things with your hair. When I first did my trial with her, I knew I found the perfect team to handle all the glam for my big day! She truly makes you the priority and ensures that you look your best on your big day. Tara is an amazingly talented hairdresser and such a sweetheart! I truly had the best experience with Tara and would hire her again in a heartbeat! My hair is very straight and does not hold a curl. I wanted a half-up/half-down design (most of which feature curls) and have had bad experiences in the past with other stylists. Tara is as sweet as she is knowledgeable and absolutely knocked it out of the park. My hair held all day (even after many hours on the dance floor) and genuinely enjoyed my trial because I felt so heard by Tara. We played around with different styles during my trial and had so much fun. Come my wedding day, Tara perfectly recreated what we had discussed a few weeks prior, which limited my stress the day-of. All of my bridesmaids loved her too. I could go on and on - I really don't have enough positive things to say about Tara :) read more

A heart of gold and a true hair artist! Tara was absolutely a life saver, going above and beyond to make sure all the little details were taken care of on my daughter's wedding day. In between doing the bride's hair (gorgeous!) and starting to work on mine, she managed to walk our dog and even steamed my silk evening gown! Tara also volunteered to make two separate trips to first drive my daughter (the bride) and then me to the wedding venue. Her makeup person, Jamie, was also a true professional - patient, attentive and highly skilled. We couldn't have picked a better team - "Irresistible Mess" turned out to be irresistibly wonderful! I would highly recommend Tara to any bride who wants to shine on her special day. read more

I've already deleted what I wrote twice because nothing seems to be good enough. Tara is not only talented at doing hair, but her as a person, let me tell you...100!!!!!! She is the sweetest, most excepting, calm, beautiful woman I have met in a long time! I am so lucky to have found her to do my hair on such a special day. Just being there calmed me (cuz I was emotional and exhausted), and she knew just the right things to say. This kind of personality ended up meaning more to me then how my hair turned out. Now, let's not forget about her team. She knows and works with some talented ladies. One of her girls named Gina did my makeup and was just as calming as she was. She allowed me to critique every step of the way with absolutely no annoyances. All they both wanted was for me as the bride to feel beautiful no matter how the process went. We worked together as a team and it all turned out perfect! Ladies, I can't rave about her enough!!! Hire her. That's all I have to say! read more

Okay brides, listen up... When I was searching for a hair stylist I was FREAKING OUT! My hairdresser recently just moved and I had to find another person to do my hair for the wedding. I came across Tara's page on The Knot and immediately contacted her. She responded right away within a day which made me feel very pleased. I scheduled a wedding hair trial with Tara and I felt super comfortable with her. She was so happy and sweet. I loved that because I didn't want someone who made me feel not comfortable especially, on my wedding day. When we were finished with my hair trial, I knew that I wanted Tara for my wedding day. A week or so before the wedding, Tara texted me an outline of the hair schedule for each bridesmaid and me (the bride). I loved that because it was one less thing I didn't have to worry about. On the wedding day, she arrived on time and was ecstatic just as much as everyone else. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful and stunning! I highly recommend Tara! She will do exactly what you want and you won't be disappointed. :) Again, thank you SOO MUCH Tara! :) read more
