When a friend recruited me last minute as a model for a shoot, a panic creeped up inside of me. I don't trust myself to do my own makeup, much less so when it comes to doing my hair (No seriously. I can barely put my hair in a ponytail). With that said, I was given less than 24 hours to find a makeup artist. Catherine had worked at my friend's wedding and was recommended to me with a raving review, so she was the first person I contacted. Her website contact form had a friendly note that encouraged people to call "if you just want that voice to voice experience," and so I did. What an experience it was!!! Catherine was warm, bubbly, and accommodating over the phone. I instantly felt at ease talking to her about the services I needed, and best of all - she was available wake up early and do my hair and makeup the next morning. I was so happy at that point that I could've given her 5 stars without even meeting her. But I waited on writing a review until after the shoot. ;) Everything went wonderfully the next morning and I can now vouch for her talent and lovely personality. We chatted the entire time and I was admiring myself for the rest of the day. Thank you Catherine for making a girl feel beautiful!!!

My issue comes from being charged a cancellation fee in the midst of a medical emergency when I requested to reschedule as I was in the ER. I would understand being charged a cancellation fee if it was for a superfluous reason, but this was entirely out of my control. When I brought up how ridiculous it was to charge me for an unforeseen emergency when I was not canceling simply attempting to reschedule, I was told to not make appointments and just call for walk in appointments or daily schedules since my "schedule wasn't firm" from their perspective. As unfortunate as it is that I can't see Christa anymore, it is because of the salon management and not anything she did.

You can tell the team here has great chemistry with each other and genuinely support each-others' craft, love it! Andy is a generational talent, I have come to her twice now with insanely outgrown, uneven, unloved hair (your girl is busy and things fall by the wayside!) and both times she has whipped me into shape. She works quickly, efficiently, and with a smile that puts you at ease. Great conversationalist, totally apt with hair cuts even if you bring her something new (my first time I wanted a k-drama style hush cut), takes special care to ensure she does the least damage possible to my hair, the list goes on. As we neared the end of our appointment yesterday, the owner of the salon (I think) came by her station and we talked about how my hair turned out, she even asked to see what it looked like before!
