I was the only customer is the salon yet Henry got up twice to grab products I assume he forgot to grab. In total I got an 11 mins massage. Maybe I am being nit picky but the $50 pedicure comes with a 10 mins massage. Maybe I should have just opted for that instead and saved some money... Now at the end of the service Nicole asked me if I was satisfied. I was honest with her and showed her how messy my nails were. She tried her best to fix them but as you can see from the photos they are still very fuzzy and not clean. Nicole asked me why I didn't mention this to Hailey and I told her the truth...she didn't ask. For $130 I expected to get at least what I paid for. I did not receive any kind of discount and unfortunately left unsatisfied. I can't see myself coming back. **I also believe it should be noted that the photos of the Botox before & after photos are of the employees.

I cannot verify her licensing status, so I am not claiming that she was unlicensed -- but based on the experience I received, I would absolutely want to know what her professional qualifications were. What made it even stranger was that after giving me what barely qualified as a massage, she still seemed to expect a tip. I left feeling 100% worse than when I walked in. The whole experience felt uncomfortable, careless, and deeply unpleasant. I wish I remembered her name, but unfortunately I don't. I'm sharing this because people pay for massage expecting a trained professional who is actually present and attentive -- not someone looking at their phone while absentmindedly touching them with one hand. For me, this is a 100% stay away. I would never return. I will say though I had a friend who had a different person that was excellent - but the consistency is not good enough and first HORRIBLE experience w a massage for me so it's a hard NO.

So if you are still reading, probably just ladies, I have found perhaps the world's best facialist. Clover is hands-on, totally off-the-wall decadent, experienced, wonderful, kind and gifted. She is all sorts of talented. She just has "it", the "x" factor, that wonderful touch that makes you feel all amazing and J.Lo glowy after you leave. She really wanted me to relax and enjoy myself. She explained everything without upselling, and she was such a graceful and healing presence. She was the most requested facialist at Burke Williams before she started her own place. She is also always super booked, so make sure you get in early and often. You, too, can look like a six year old. She also doesn't leave you in the room with a mask. Oh no, she takes being in the room and healing massage to a different level: she uses healing stones on your feet, puts your hands in warm gloves and basically gives you a full body massage. Massage and facial = yes please!! I'll tell you how good she is: I walked in having a truly awful day, and I walked out knowing and feeling that everything is going to be alright. Now, that's a healing experience.

For starters, my initial tour didn't include the quiet room, which I later discovered on my own after my treatment. In addition, there were no light snacks in the women's area, only a single water dispenser & a tea station, both of which were empty the entire 4 hour duration of my time there. Upon departure I realized there are some light snacks in the "members area" , which was also not shown to me during my tour upon check in, and I was surprised to see it all being put away at 5:30 , despite the spa being open until 7:00 pm. When a spa facilitates extended exposure to heat via saunas and hot tubs, it's essential that patrons have access to water so they can rehydrate and to have snacks available. This was a total disappointment. For the service itself, I got a 60 minute de-stress package. The first few minutes after my technician introduced herself were spent reviewing upsell options for feet, scalp, eye, and shoulder treatments that ranged an addition $40-60. I was surprised to learn the add-ons did not actually add time to the service, but the same 60 minute massage would occur with an emphasis on the body part mentioned. This was tacky and not something I would expect from a 5 star resort. In terms of the facilities and their upkeep, the towels were piled high in the hampers throughout the time I was there and the bowl with iced washcloths stayed empty until the last hour. The facilities themselves were outdated and nothing special with respect to the dry and wet saunas and the small whirlpool in the women's section. Overall I do not recommend the Waldorf Astoria spa and will spend my $300-500 spa day money elsewhere.

You would be crazy not to have Melissa do your makeup for your wedding! I know it's hard when reading reviews for wedding services, it seems like it's difficult to know what are truthfully glowing reviews, but SERIOUSLY take my advice and hire Melissa - you will not be disappointed! She and Christina did my hair and make up for my wedding along with nine of my girlfriends/family who were all going for different styles. Melissa knew exactly what would look fabulous on each woman and everyone LOVED their makeup. It's hard to make so many women happy, but Melissa did it! I had a trial with Melissa where she meticulously tried and tested different makeup styles with me. She was such a good listener and I never felt pressure to go with a look I wasn't comfortable with. I am extremely indecisive and the day after the trial I decided I wanted to do a little something different and on the day of the wedding Melissa totally adapted what we did and made me look EXACTLY how I wanted to look. Aside from her amazing skill at makeup, she is also very sweet and was a welcome addition to the pre-wedding party. She fit in so well with my group of girlfriends! You will also not find a better price in Orange County - believe me, I searched high and low and her prices cannot be beat! Especially when you consider the quality of her work is astounding! I looked for a really long time to find someone to do make up but was having a really hard time finding someone who wasn't too expensive, especially for the sake of my bridesmaids. I think make up was the thing that i was stressing out about the most! Then I found Melissa! Her prices are very reasonable for Southern CA and since I was having so many people get their make up done, she did not charge me a travel fee which was amazing since she came from San Juan Capistrano to San Diego! She was so responsive with everything - trial, day of, bridesmaids, mom, etc. Everyone looked fantastic. She did not over apply to anyone and all the girls looked how they wanted to. She kept the whole day on track and followed her time line to a T. During the whole process, she was very responsive through e-mail. I was recommended to Melissa through Robin Dunn after I found her on Instagram. I cannot say enough nice things about Melissa. From the run through all the way to the day off, Melissa and her assistant were very professional. When I told my bridesmaids I had hired a professional, they really were not expecting the high end treatment they received. Everyone was blown away by Melissa. She is extremely professional and has the best products. She drove to my parents house and came prepared to work. She had her own chair, lighting, air brush equipment (things that other make up artists have not had in the past with me). I was very happy with the end result as she listened to what I wanted, but still made me look beautiful on my special day. Melissa genuinely cares about her clients and will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the results. She is a perfectionist and pays attention to every little detail. She took the time to find out what I wanted and what I was expecting. She was attentive to my concerns. My eyes are the type that is hard to make it look nice since it's very small and don't look even, but I love how she made them stand out and not feel "heavy". Melissa and her team were beyond amazing to work with, all throughout the planning and on the day of our wedding. I inherited a very bad allergic reaction two days before my wedding (halfway swollen and shut eyes and puffy cheeks) and Melissa assured me that everything would be okay and that I would look beautiful on my day. Genna was punctual and arrived right on time at 6AM. She had all her equipment on her and set-up quickly (I was quite impressed on how seamless and organized she was, she even brought her own light and chair for the make-up station). She did the hair for 2 of my bridesmaids, make-up for my mom and mother-in-law, and my hair and make-up. Each of showed her a picture of what we wanted/what we were aiming for and she able to re-create. Everyone looked so beautiful!! I didn't do a trial because I live in Boston, but Genna allotted extra time for this the day of the wedding. OMG Genna did such an amazing job on my hair and make-up!! I was so happy with how it turned out and what is even more amazing is that I looked just as good at the end of the night! My hair and make-up lasted through the thousands of tears and crazy dancing at night! Also, I had this huge hairpiece and 15 foot veil that she secured so well! Not only do they want full signed contracts from both sides but also a proof of payment in order to dispute the disputed review. I was able to provide the original and signed contract that I found from 6 years ago, but that was not good enough so they still took my review down. I hired them for my hair and makeup for my self and several of my bridesmaids, as well as a few of my family members. On my trial, I was blown away with how my hair and makeup was done and it was soo beautiful! The women were so friendly and relatable and I really enjoyed them! Come the day of my wedding, I really thought they would either have more workers with them or do a better job, either or would have been fine. There were only 2 girls for what seemed like hair and makeup for 6-9 people including myself. Due to this reason, we had to schedule each girl for their session and could not all hang out together the day of the wedding. That was not too bad, I was just a little annoyed. The real issue here is that they did all of our hair and makeup and our hair curls fell out within 30-40 min of getting our hair done. They even tried to redo a few of the girl's hair a several times and it would fall immediately. The makeup look they did on my trial was not the same makeup they did on my wedding day. My eyelashes were glued on top of my eyelids and my eyeliner made it look like I had very small eyes that would not open. My eyelashes were so bad that it looks like I had one lazy eye the entire day and this ruined ALLLLL of my wedding photos. I to this day refuse to print or look at any of the photos because it makes me so sad how bad it looks. I am posting this hoping someone else doesnt waste over $1k to do the same or lower quality job that you or I could do at a wedding. If i wanted my eyelashes glued ontop of my eyelids and have a lazy eye I would have just done my own makeup...
