By luck, I found Mavericks Cycles while I was in desperate need to get the main drive belt on my…read moreSoftail replaced after it snapped on the road. It was Valentines Day and while no one else was answering their phones, Mavericks did. He and his partner arrived promptly and picked up my bike. Not knowing who these guys were, I have to admit, I was concerned. Lawrentiu was personable, friendly and quickly put me at ease which isn't easy since my Harley is my prize possession. As for price, very very reasonable. So reasonable, he worked with me and ended up beating the competition. Replacing a final drive belt is labor intensive which is why I didn't want to do it myself. While my bike was being worked on, Lawrentiu maintained contact with me, reassuring me that things were going smoothly and my bike would be done on time. The Harley Davidson dealership should take notes here. Mavericks finished the job before expected and my baby is back home and I'm sipping on Jim Beam happy as I could possibly be. Good job Mavericks and Lawrentiu, I will be a repeat customer. -Gunner

I stumbled on to Maverick Cycles in a CL ad. They had a very good spring special going on for an…read moreoil change, carb cleaning, and a few other basic tuneup services. I was a little skeptic at first because their price was Way below the dealerships I called just to get a carb cleaning ( Langstons and Temecula Motorsports), so I decided to give them a call. I ended up getting ahold of Lawrence right away and he confirmed the price for all the services listed for my bike. It was such a good deal I decided to get my valves adjusted too, plus they offer an awesome pickup and drop off service! Seriously, nobody else came close to what they were offering so I gave them a shot. Lawrence and Jose came the next day and picked up my Ninja 250. 2 days later they dropped it back off (and they worked around my crazy schedule and dropped it off at like 7:30 pm). My bike has never ran better! It's so nice to find a legitimate bike mechanic that doesn't overcharge like all the dealerships. Both Jose and Lawrence were very helpful and professional. They both seem to have quite a bit of experience with both street bikes and cruisers. I'll definitely be going back to these guys when it's time to give my Yzf 250 a tuneup. I would recommend them to anyone.

I finally stopped in to meet the owner, James, and right away I could tell this place was different. He took the time to come out, look over my bike with me, talk through what I wanted, and get everything scheduled without any pressure. One thing that really stood out was their communication. They use a text and email system for appointments, which makes everything simple and organized. During the job, James even reached out with a question about how I wanted something installed. He sent photos and followed up with a call to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it done--that level of attention is rare. From start to finish, the service was excellent. James and Danielle genuinely care about their customers, and it shows. It's that small-shop, personal experience you just don't get at most dealerships, where you can feel more like a number than a customer. They completed the work on time, the pricing was fair, and the quality was top-notch. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending 5K Oil to friends who want their bikes handled the right way.

I managed to get the bike running again, but something just didn't feel right. Riding on two wheels is challenging enough without second-guessing your bike, so I decided it was time to call in the pros at 5K. James responded right away and couldn't have been more friendly. When I arrived, Danielle greeted me like we'd known each other for years, and James diagnosed the issue almost instantly just by looking at the bike. When it comes to customer and mechanic relationships, I think I've found my bike sherpas Thanks, guys!
