I asked for alterations in the sleeves, shoulders and hems for two dresses. The work was excellent. I thought it was a good price for the work and it was completed in a timely manner. She doesn't call when the work is done, but rather you pick it up on the pre-determined day. So, just tell her when you want to pick it up. She'll let you know if the time you want is too short. The lady was very sweet. She was helpful on the day of alterations: she made sure to answer all my questions and helped adjust things as needed. The turn around was really quick--I got the dress back in less than a week. I needed the straps adjusted and I needed the dress hemmed. While everything was pretty much fine with the dress, the hem is definitely crooked from the front and back (see below). It's not all that noticeable, and since it's a bridesmaids dress, I don't mind too much. However, if you're looking to get something major done like a wedding dress, be very specific about what you want since a crooked hem is a pretty significant thing. read more

she ruined my wedding dress the day before my wedding. I took it there to get it last minute altered, and when I picked up my wedding dress a day before and looked at it, she left iron and steam marks the whole front of my dress I had to buy $200 worth of fabric to cover the front which I shouldn't have to. Don't ever come here or take something value to this place and made me sick that she couldn't admit that she did told me that I brought it to her that way when I didn't I have proof the day of before I took it to that place and witnesses she was lying and could admit to it didn't even give me a refund for the fabric I had to purchase which this altered cost me 200 as well so an extra $400 on this dress she made it very stressful upsetting sicking. this dress was special now every time I see these stains it just reminds me the pain she put me through. Got my wedding dress altered here. The lady was super nice but very professional in what she was doing. The turn around time is really up to you. She tries her best to get it done within your timeframe. I over heard another client wanting a ball gown altered in 4 days and she was able to do it. When I got my dress, it was exactly how I wanted it. For the price of what I would of spent if I went to a bridal shop to get it done, this was by far cheaper! read more

I've come here a few times and it was after I went to a couple of other alterations places that asked a for a lot to shorten the skirt. This place charged a reasonable price almost half of what another place was quoting me and since then I've brought skirts, pants, a suit, and a bridesmaid dress to get altered here. She usually asks for about 1-2 weeks lead time, but it's usually a little more than a week. An interesting thing about this place is how scared she seems to want to decide the lengths of items. If I ask her if something looks okay that short, she says that it's up to me and refuses to give much feedback. She is really careful about doing things where she would have to accept responsibility for it, which is understandable but don't expect opinions on how long or short things should be or anything. The phone number also doesn't work - the voicemail goes to a family friend who directs you to go to the store for actual estimates. Barring those issues, this place is still very honest and finishes things well as you ask them to. The prices are very reasonable and so I would still recommend them to people - it just means you can't really get estimates over the phone. read more

I went to the most highly rated alteration shop and was rejected the moment they saw my dress and gave an unreasonable explanation why they couldn't do my dress. My dress had a deep v neck and I wanted to close it up a bit to make it more modest. So I went to the next place I saw recommended on yelp. The lady behind the counter took it right away and cautioned me that there might be "bubble" as she explained it or be slightly puffed. I said sure, I just wanted it closed up a bit. Today, I just picked up the dress and it was perfect and was really happy with it. Her price was great she only asked for $5 and I tipped her as well. It also made sense now why the first alteration shop refused to take in my dress- I guess it wasn't worth alternating something minor.
