We spent almost $2,000 on dresses that we won't even be able to wear for our event next week. About three months ago, my mom found a dress priced just over $1,000. I later found the same dress online for a lower price, and the store owner agreed to refund us the difference. When I returned to collect the difference, he told me he would give it to me next time. When we returned, my mom tried on her dress and loved it, but it needed some adjustments to fit her height and body type. The owner then suggested I try on a new dress, which I did. He told me it was $950, but when I looked at the tag, it was only $650. I confronted him about the price discrepancy, and he agreed to sell it to me for that price. He also told me the dress was made in Lebanon, although Portia and Scarlett dresses are made in Australia. I liked the dress but wanted to keep my options open since it was strapless.
