They also provide a small bag for your belongings that hooks onto the saddle, cold water bottles, and sunscreen prior to the ride. They have an area with old cowboy boots and hats that you can borrow for the ride too! During the ride, my horse occasionally got side tracked and pulled away to sneak a few bites of grass and tree leaves (don't blame him whatsoever for wanting to snack!), but Don was really patient and always helped me with redirecting him. As a whole, the horses were all well trained and knew the route, which made for a comfortable ride. The views were unreal and Don was very knowledgeable on paniolo history. They also have a great shop with lots of reasonably priced items that are good quality. Would 100% come back for another horseback ride with them the next time I return to Maui. Thanks Circle M!

You won't be going fast at any point and you will need to reign your horse in constantly to keep it from stopping to pluck at plants the horse wants to munch on, but the monumental views and still countryside will make it all worth it. The trail was very clean so the one abandoned rusty tire near the end should probably be removed. Ray is an expert equestrian and has interesting stories and jokes to tell all along the way. Eddie is very personable and handles the admin of the ranch along with, as both Ray and Eddie like to joke, the weather. One thing that was little annoying was that as we were driving away Eddie approached us and rapped on our car window asking if we had remembered to take care of Ray. We did, she went back and gave Ray a tip, but we didn't have any cash or wallets with us during the ride because we were told that whatever we brought would have to go in the saddlebags anyway. We likened this rapping on the window as we were about to drive off to a waiter coming out in the parking lot to ask if we forgot to tip, or a valet rapping on the window as we were driving off to ask for the same. Eddie could have earned that tip for Ray if he had guided us out of the parking lot - we ended up scraping the rear bumper on the lava rocks that are directly behind where the cars line up to park.

Biggest downfall, all the hiking. It was straight up the mountain on this goat trail. Footing could be dangerous If you don't have good shoes, balance and pay attention. They give you a water bottle full to keep ( however not in the least bit cold). If you aren't in att least half way decent shape this adventure probably is not for you. It is a lot of physical work. Be prepared to sweat and breathe hard and carry yourself and that 10 pound trolley up the dang mountain with very little to no shade. The guys doing the actual Zipping with us were awesome! Fun and friendly! The guy at the start, when you check in and pay... let's just say he's a grump. Maybe he had a bad day, but we found his to be grumpy and just honestly rude. Actual filets of steak are marinated, dried and sliced into thick, tender strips of jerky goodness, savory and sweet with a hint of pepper. I mean, just take a look at my photo! Who does that?! I've had the steaks and if you're lucky you can get the lamb which is excellent. this is a great resource for Maui for food security I been buying their products for a least five years and have always been satisfied with it

We have taken three of their "Morning Walks" with our grandkids and it's a perfect introduction to hiking. Honestly we've had three different ...wonderful.. experiences. It's not strenuous and you're taken back to some private land that you'd not have access to if you just drove up and parked (if you found a parking spot) and hiked back in. She was the perfect blend of kind, patient and engaging with the grandkids, and very helpful with us old folks! She has a big heart and a crazy love for this island. We've lived on Maui for a couple years and she taught us some cool stuff that we didn't know. We hopped in her big van and had a fun tour to: -Ocean Vodka -Surfing Goat Dairy -Ali'i Lavander Farm -Ulupalaku Ranch + Maui wine And along the way she handed out fresh banana bread (that SHE baked!) and cold bottles of water (say what? So thoughtful!) As we drove, she would point out things like: the kinds of trees we were seeing, the history of this or that, how things had changed over the years... Interesting things that kept the conversation flowing. Her van has a microphone for her to use so it's great for people who sit in the back. We could hear everything she was saying. She made sure to open doors for guests and make sure the temperature inside the van was okay for everyone. There are different tours to choose from to hone in on where you want to go and what you want to see. She really knows her stuff and made us smile and laugh with her bubbly personality and energy. Prior to the pick up, Marilyn was always available via phone if I had questions about planning the logisitics and I found her to be very sweet and kind over the phone. As soon as Marilyn greeted me at the pick up, I knew I was in for a real treat. She has this magnetic energy and passion. She knows how to connect with people and make them feel comfortable. I was traveling alone and joined a group of others wonderful tourists that were part of the tour. Marilyn and Robbie were well versed in their knowledge of the history of the culture, agriculture and plants. The tour included stops at the lovely Lavender garden, Maui winery, and the Surfing Goat Dairy. Their timing was spot. One of the highlights of the tour was the lunch. It was in a lovely park, tucked away in a hillside, overlooking Maui, It was a perfect day. The real treat was when Marilyn pulled out her Ukulele and started singing lovely songs - one of which was "Somewhere over the rainbow". It was delightful. The tour ended with the other tourists departing at the airport. This was not just an ordinary curbside drop-off. Marilyn actually accompanied them to the check in counter and helped them get their bags through. This is not something that an ordinary tour company would do. I remained in the van and chatted with the delightful Robbie. I cannot thank Maui Country Farm Tours for such a memorable experience. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip, and I could not have done the trip alone. Marilyn has contacts and knows the inside scoop on how these various businesses operate. The floral preservation service SOW recommended was awesome, gave us clear instructions, and was super sweet when we dropped off the flowers. The venue was STUNNING. I knew it would be pretty from the photos we had seen on the website but it was absolutely breathtaking in person and felt like a dream to get married at the Kailana Chapel and Gardens .
