They were very nice, friendly, and professional. Their English was not that great (by their own admission) so they often used Google Translate on their phone to translate, which actually worked a lot better than I had expected. We were able to communicate with them just fine. They mentioned they were from Russia so if you can speak Russian that would be great. They wanted to connect their pressure washer to our hose to pressure wash the clogged gutters, but our hose recently broke and thus we didn't have one, so they went out to Home Depot to purchase one for the job. They also got on the roof to manually scoop out a lot of the debris in the gutters. To fix the clogged downspout they removed the gutter from the wall and emptied them and pressure sprayed the inside of the gutter to clear them out. The gutters looked pretty good after they cleaned everything out. They also readjusted the gutter to fit into the French drain better (it was misaligned from the previous job from another contractor). We would be happy to call them up again if we had any more house jobs that needed to be done!

Having a background in both structural engineering and construction, I knew this would be a bit of a challenging fix. Unlike other vendors I reached out to for a quote where I sent photos and was provided an estimate without a site visit, D'Mitri and team were transparent and said they couldn't make a detailed assessment based on the photos so sent someone out to visit. Once on site, the technician evaluated the issue, took photos, and was upfront in acknowledging this was a complex issue that he wasn't able to handle, but would discuss with the team. They determined that this was out of their area of expertise. What I really valued was 1) prompt and clear communication - they left email, texts, and calls to make sure I was informed and 2) they knew their limits. I've had too many poor experiences of contractors who say they're able to do a job only to realize they're in over their heads once they start the project and are asking for additional funds because their estimates were way off. While I can't speak to the quality of work, they left a great impression on me and will be keeping them on the books in case I need another home repair.

The water remediation company and all contractors who quoted me warned me that handling my quartz backsplash had a significant risk of breakage. Vadim and Akyl put it back in one piece (whew!). They also installed additional shelving that was not originally in the scope - super kind of them! There were a couple of areas that required floor-to-ceiling shelving installation (with lighting), drywall replacement, and some termite damage remediation. All of this work was also done with care. For the drywall - the paint texture and color beautifully match the area - I cannot tell where the repair was made. Finally, the electrician did a great job putting in an additional socket and fixing paired light switches that weren't working together properly. The whole job took a couple of weeks, and it was a pleasure to have the crew in our house. It was not a trivial project, removing a (non-load bearing) wall, but one that contained the pipes and original shower head. Ellis, who was communicating milestones and next steps, was easy to reach (by text, phone or email). For one day, when as part of the construction we had discovered roots in our sewer line and they had to coordinate with the plumber - she promptly communicated the wait, and additional estimate. Again, doing a big project in an older house (first floor was built in the 1940s), one expects small hiccups along the way. Yet, Neighborhood Construction made the process so smooth.
