This neighborhood restaurant in Santa Lucia do Fonte Nuova Rome is a charming find! The owner speaks limited English but he treats obvious tourists like old neighbors. He encouraged us to order off the menu by asking first if we wanted Pizza or Pasta. The two children wanted pizza and the adults said pasta. He then asked, "spaghetti, fettuccine or ravioli" we said fettuccine, which was followed by the question "with ragoux or mushrooms". We said mushrooms. He then asked us if we would like some bruschetta. We said yes and then if the kids wanted, Coke and the adults chose red wine. Ordering was done. He brought us a wonderful alcohol free punch as a cocktail. Then he brought us our bruschetta and more appetizers that were delicious. The pizza, Pasta and wine were simple and delicious. Dinner was followed by a wonderful deconstructed titanium and coffee. All of the above for 5 people cost only 74 Euros eaten in a charming courtyard. It was wonderful! read more
