We asked if the Brunello was good (at 20 euro a glass it should be). What we received was off in color, and it honestly tasted syrupy like it had been open for many days. My husband and I have a passion for wine and we know when something is off. We told our server that the pizza was good but the wine was not good at all. He told his boss but he just wrinkled his face at us and proceeded to add an additional 3 euro to our tab (a bar fee? But we didn't get it at the bar, we sat outside). Got the bill and what should have been a 45 euro snack was closer to 75 with the addition of the water, the 8.50 focaccia that no one ate, and the service charge that was added on. Over and above this, he was trying to guilt my husband into a bigger tip. Not quite sure it's my responsibility to over tip on a padded bill. I'll never argue over prices but understand...
