Food was amazing! A large amount of food for around $22 each. Could've easily shared the plate. Service could be better. Waitress took a long time to take our orders and to bring our drinks, she wasn't really paying attention. But she was very sweet! The place is beautiful and looks very clean. I would definitely come back! I would give a 4.5 if I could.

Ordered delivery via Postmates. Baba ganoush was very good and would get again. Deluxe hummus with chicken was decent. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was the mix shawarma plate because the meats were dry :( If it weren't for that I think the whole meal would've been good!

Authentic cuisine; seemed one waitress was doing everything. Didn't realize tip must be paid in cash until we had finished but thankfully we were able to gather enough to cover.

I gave Majeed a try for the first time and came back with mix feelings about it. I like the ambiance. However, the heating was roastingly hot inside when it's 65 degrees outside. I'm from a tropical country and could barely breath. The presentation of the food looks great and the portion was big for its price. However, (don't know if it's because of the heating) everything came out very dry. All the bread were burned and felt like crackers. The sandwich had dry bread and the beef was also over cooked. The hummus was okay but without good bread, we were not fulfilled :( Lampchops were bitter-burned and dry so I had nothing to enjoy with the good rice. The only win for the night was the fries.

Order confirmation and hours and the restaurant doesn't hold to and doesn't offer any explanation to the customer

I've ordered from here many times before but had an experience today that I will not be able to shake. Ordered takeout on a Thursday, October 16th at 5pm and my payment was taken. The hours of operation on both Google and Yelp clearly state the hours are between 11am and 10pm. I drove in rush hour traffic, hungry, awaiting the food I had paid for. The neon sign on the outside of the restaurant was on. The door was unlocked. I walk in, a man walks up, I said hi, I'm here to pick up an order. He flatly replies "we are closed". I explained that I had placed an order and my money was taken. He shrugged his shoulders at me. I asked if he could turn his ordering system off if they are not open so this wouldn't happen to anyone else. No acknowledgment. I said ok, well, based on this experience I won't be coming back here. He shrugged his shoulders. You'd think, basic empathy. Maybe an acknowledgment of inconvenience. Nothing from this guy. So to be clear, I will not order from Majeed again, and I am in disbelief that a restaurateur would treat a patron with such utter disrespect.

I ate at Majeed on a weeknight with my parents. We ordered all of the things. We got Falafel, Hummus, Beef Fatayer, Kibbeh, Labneh, a vegetarian dish, and the Mix Shawarma (Beef and chicken shawarma with pickles, onions, parsley, and tahini sauce) with Fries. Everything was really good! My favorites were the kibbeh and labneh. I thought they could have had better pita bread. It was very thin and dry and they clearly aren't making it. Otherwise all of the dips and meats were very tasty. We were the only people here during much of our dinner but there were a couple of other tables. The service is OK and the place is clean. I wouldn't make a special trip from Chesterfield but I'd definitely return.

Excellent items on the menu. Staff are as helpful in explaining items. The prices were reasonable and it was pretty open with seating.

Being a traveling musician I constantly try out new places in new cities. I am not even done with my meal yet and this food is the best I've ever had in St Louis. The staff is very kind and welcoming and the chef is fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My go to place for chicken or beef shawarma. Or how about trying the mixed!! Always hot and just what I need when I don't feel like cooking. I'm here at least twice a month. If you in the south check them out

This would be a 2 star review but I'm giving it 3 stars because of the service that I received here. I was really looking forward to trying this place because of all of the fantastic reviews, and it has, unfortunately fell quite short. I was going to have a fattoush salad and a mixed grill but decided to have the fattoush on the plate...but it tasted bad. That really is the only way to describe it--it was just plain old bad. It was old tasting and soggy and just disgusting. I was pretty upset that half of my plate was not going to be eaten. I was going to just leave it but I told my server that I wanted to replace the side because not only could I not eat that salad, but I could not eat the one that came with the kibbe because it was also bad. She said that she could replace it with hummus with chicken (or beef) on it, which was a lot better. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being charged for that, because although I don't think I should be- you never know about these places and they didn't charge me so that's good. The kibbe was good, as was the chicken, but the meat and rice were not that great. The rice had an odd taste to it and we didn't eat it, so that was a loss. The tea pots and tea was the only thing I actually liked. The bathrooms were so bad that my child and husband both wouldn't use it. This place could be so great, but they need good management. I am planning on going through St. Louis again--definitely not planning on going here again.

Well, I no longer live in STL and I am finally checking it out. Now that I have, I am pissed at myself that I didn't try it sooner. I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed a Nova Gyro that was served with a side of fries. For a minimal up-charge, I had them add Feta Cheese to mine. When the Gyro arrived, it was super huge. It was so big, I could hardly pick it up to take a bite. I ended up eating part of it as a salad with a fork until I could finally pick it up and eat it like a true Gyro. The gyro meat was well seasoned and tender. It was smothered in their house made tzatziki sauce and wrapped in a warm Pita. The toppings were plentiful and they were; sliced red onion, shredded crisp lettuce, cucumbers and vine ripe tomatoes. Adding the Feta Cheese, was a wise move. It added, an extra Greek kick to the Gyro. My glass of Pinot Grigio was a perfect accompaniment to my lunch. With it being super huge, I took a third of it home and made a salad out of it for dinner. The only negative, is their take home vessels are styrofoam and not eco-friendly. The service was attentive and friendly. My server was training a new gentleman and think he's going to do a great job. I'm already thinking about a return visit, because I need to try the baklava. The restaurant is pretty large and spacious, but felt a little dated, and had that stale smell in the air. We were seated right away, and everyone was nice and pleasant. I ordered the Mezze, which came with baba ghanouj, hummus, 2 pieces of falafel, and Arabic salad (which is essentially just tomatoes and cucumbers, neither of which I eat) for $11.99 The baba ghanouj was very good. The falafel was good as well. The hummus was just ok. Not the best in the Metropolitan area, but certainly not the worst either. It also comes with pita bread, which I declined. (I'm avoiding gluten due to a gluten sensitivity issue) I ordered a side of rice ($2.99) instead (I mix everything together with the rice). The rice was good; I think they add turmeric in it. I also requested grilled onion, which I just realized they charged me for, along with the tahini and hot sauce (which they call shatta). Not a big deal at $1 each, but it's always noteworthy to me when places nickel and dime you. I also ordered the grape leaves. 5 dolmas for $5.99. The dolmas were served cold, which I'm not used to. I like when they're served with warm rice and leaves. (I warmed up the leftovers in a pan, and they tasted so much better). My guy ordered the Lamb Maklubeh, a traditional Palestinian dish. He said it was good. All in all, it was a nice place and the food ranged from good to decent. And the prices were decent as well. I do wish they were more knowledgeable and accommodating to vegans though. When I inquired whether certain dishes and sauces were vegan, the waitress said she couldn't guarantee it. I didn't like that. Aside from that, it's a cool place and worth a try, especially if you want to try some traditional Palestinian cuisine.

Finally, when we have room (and sometimes even when we don't), we get the rice pudding. The service is usually good, but not necessarily great. It's always personable and genuine; just sometimes a little slower than expected. Also the place (opened circa 2005) is showing its age a bit and needs a little TLC. It's very clean; it just needs a little refreshening in certain high traffic areas. The takeout/delivery business seemed good on the Sunday night we went there, but the in-store business was pretty quiet.
