We treated my husband to dinner here for Father's Day after seeing a video posted online since he loves Mediterranean food. We really loved the look of the restaurant. There was cushioned bench seating with round metal tables. The music playing was enjoyable. It was a good cultural experience. We ordered grape leaves and kibbeh for appetizers. For entrées we ordered chicken schwarma sandwiches, a beef schwarma sandwich, and the mixed grill. I really enjoyed the chicken schwarma sandwich. It was paired with a garlic sauce however there was enough sauce on it that I honestly didn't need more but it was good to have extra. My daughter thought her beef on her schwarma was a little dry but loved the extra garlic sauce. Both girls liked the fries. I thought the fries were ok but after tasting my husband's rice, I wished I ordered a side of rice. My husband really enjoyed the mixed grill. He said everything was well seasoned and the meat was moist. He loved the rice and pickled vegetables. The only issues we had were that our appetizers came out after our entrées. The family really liked the kibbeh. They loved the crispness of the outside texture. They thought the grape leaves were ok. They also tried two of the Syrian sodas and the Turkish coffee and both were pretty good. Our waitress was nice enough but sometimes forgetful of things we asked and sometimes we had to go wait at the counter for the help we needed. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return.
Came by here out of curiosity, and it was a mediocre experience. One of the perks is that they have a parking lot for their guests. There was only one server working (my guess is the owner), and so service is incredibly slow. The interior is super unique compared to other restaurants. I felt like I wasn't in St. Louis. Not a big fan of the copper/metal dining tables. It felt a little awkward to eat. Something that felt off was how the server kept cleaning the tables with this aerosol spray (after guests left), and the smell was super strong. I felt like I kept inhaling this while I was eating. Good was okay for the price. They also give you water bottles instead of cups.
Food was amazing! A large amount of food for around $22 each. Could've easily shared the plate. Service could be better. Waitress took a long time to take our orders and to bring our drinks, she wasn't really paying attention. But she was very sweet! The place is beautiful and looks very clean. I would definitely come back! I would give a 4.5 if I could.
Ordered delivery via Postmates. Baba ganoush was very good and would get again. Deluxe hummus with chicken was decent. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was the mix shawarma plate because the meats were dry :( If it weren't for that I think the whole meal would've been good!

I'm from a tropical country and could barely breath. The presentation of the food looks great and the portion was big for its price. However, (don't know if it's because of the heating) everything came out very dry. All the bread were burned and felt like crackers. The sandwich had dry bread and the beef was also over cooked. The hummus was okay but without good bread, we were not fulfilled :( Lampchops were bitter-burned and dry so I had nothing to enjoy with the good rice. The only win for the night was the fries.

I've ordered from here many times before but had an experience today that I will not be able to shake. Ordered takeout on a Thursday, October 16th at 5pm and my payment was taken. The hours of operation on both Google and Yelp clearly state the hours are between 11am and 10pm. I drove in rush hour traffic, hungry, awaiting the food I had paid for. The neon sign on the outside of the restaurant was on. The door was unlocked. I walk in, a man walks up, I said hi, I'm here to pick up an order. He flatly replies "we are closed". I explained that I had placed an order and my money was taken. He shrugged his shoulders at me. I asked if he could turn his ordering system off if they are not open so this wouldn't happen to anyone else. No acknowledgment. I said ok, well, based on this experience I won't be coming back here. He shrugged his shoulders. You'd think, basic empathy. Maybe an acknowledgment of inconvenience. Nothing from this guy. So to be clear, I will not order from Majeed again, and I am in disbelief that a restaurateur would treat a patron with such utter disrespect.
I ate at Majeed on a weeknight with my parents. We ordered all of the things. We got Falafel, Hummus, Beef Fatayer, Kibbeh, Labneh, a vegetarian dish, and the Mix Shawarma (Beef and chicken shawarma with pickles, onions, parsley, and tahini sauce) with Fries. Everything was really good! My favorites were the kibbeh and labneh. I thought they could have had better pita bread. It was very thin and dry and they clearly aren't making it. Otherwise all of the dips and meats were very tasty. We were the only people here during much of our dinner but there were a couple of other tables. The service is OK and the place is clean. I wouldn't make a special trip from Chesterfield but I'd definitely return.
Excellent items on the menu. Staff are as helpful in explaining items. The prices were reasonable and it was pretty open with seating.
My go to place for chicken or beef shawarma. Or how about trying the mixed!! Always hot and just what I need when I don't feel like cooking. I'm here at least twice a month. If you in the south check them out
Being a traveling musician I constantly try out new places in new cities. I am not even done with my meal yet and this food is the best I've ever had in St Louis. The staff is very kind and welcoming and the chef is fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This would be a 2 star review but I'm giving it 3 stars because of the service that I received here. I was really looking forward to trying this place because of all of the fantastic reviews, and it has, unfortunately fell quite short. I was going to have a fattoush salad and a mixed grill but decided to have the fattoush on the plate...but it tasted bad. That really is the only way to describe it--it was just plain old bad. It was old tasting and soggy and just disgusting. I was pretty upset that half of my plate was not going to be eaten. I was going to just leave it but I told my server that I wanted to replace the side because not only could I not eat that salad, but I could not eat the one that came with the kibbe because it was also bad. She said that she could replace it with hummus with chicken (or beef) on it, which was a lot better. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being charged for that, because although I don't think I should be- you never know about these places and they didn't charge me so that's good. The kibbe was good, as was the chicken, but the meat and rice were not that great. The rice had an odd taste to it and we didn't eat it, so that was a loss. The tea pots and tea was the only thing I actually liked. The bathrooms were so bad that my child and husband both wouldn't use it. This place could be so great, but they need good management. I am planning on going through St. Louis again--definitely not planning on going here again.
Best schwarma this schwarma loving kid has had in stl. Bursting with flavor. Just a touch of sweet, with rich, savory punches of turmeric and cumin. A bit of citrus to smooth everything out. Chicken was still juicy, mixed bit of lean and fatty cuts. Service was great. Super nice workers. Definitely want to get back and absolutely smash the hummus deluxe. The actual pitas were fine. A bit dense for my liking; luckily i got takeaway and had homemade pitas at the crib! Doubles as a hookah lounge as well! read more

Food was amazing! A large amount of food for around $22 each. Could've easily shared the plate. Service could be better. I ate at Majeed on a weeknight with my parents. We ordered all of the things. Food was so fresh and delicious. We went around 9:30 pm and they were everything we could've dreamt to have for a late dinner. The meat was cooked to perfection, it was juicy and flavorful. The vegetables were fresh, hearty and delicious. The restaurant was so clean and the service was fast and kind. We will most definitely be back soon. read more

We love trying locally owned restaurants, especially supporting our refugee population. We went last Sunday. We were the only ones in the restaurant but we had arrived just as they opened. Service was fantastic and friendly. We started with the fries because I wanted the garlicky Arabic mayo. They were crispy and quite good and the mayo is the star. We had the vegetarian grape leaves. They were served warm and were delicious I. My husband had the leg of lamb and it fell off the bone. I ordered Syrian chicken and potatoes which came with rice. The main dish was excellent but this is my favorite rice! I would definitely return here! read more

Upon entering, it has a nice atmosphere. Very friendly people, I think I entered at the wrong entrance, I went on the side of the store. The restaurant is on the left of that. So I thought I was entering through the correct door. Soooo let me tell you. I thought I had gotten the beef Sharma sandwich. It was just indeed the beef Sharma with rice. I'm soooooo glad I made the mistake! It was sooo well done and tasty! Now I love Mediterranean food. This is now my go to spot! Now the kanafa was a bit hard. But nothing the microwave can't fix! Great food.I tried the chicken shawerma,it was really good! The cheese sambosak was alright,it wasn't authentic.It had cream cheese or cheddar cheese of some sort as a filling.The service was excellent.The prices were very reasonable. This place is also HALAL for people that only eat halal cooked food.Recommended dishes: Beef shawerma,chicken shawerma and stuffed grape leaves. They have their own free parking garage available right next to the restaurant. read more

I've ordered from this place a bunch of times and ate in person for the first time. The family platter is the way to go! You get a ton of food for a good price. The stuffed grape leaves are also top tier, they just melt in your mouth. I also really enjoyed the Turkish coffee and tea -- got myself a cute little moon at the bottom of the cup. read more

Visited this delicious place last night. The food is absolutely fantastic. I have never had chicken shawarma this good. Very flavorful moist chicken with just the right amount of savoriness. The accompanying yogurt sauce gives just the right amount of tang. The tabbouleh salad is fresh with chopped tomatoes and a beautiful dressing. Also had the hummus. The amount of tahini is what makes this so, so good. A very nutty warm flavor....so good!! This hummus makes every other hummus you ever had unworthy! No alcohol but lots of different drink selections. Shawarma plates are huge with lots of meat, rice and salad. You won't leave here hungry that's for sure. We first headed to the Majeed grocery down the street because that is where maps took us. They are now in a bigger location down the street. Go to the grocery store, it is an interesting place! If you want some fresh mediterranean food, head to Majeed! The staff very friendly and service superb! read more

If you like Mediterranean cuisine, check them out! Great food, great prices. We started with a couple of appetizers: beef fatayer and hummus. Amazing! Then the entrees at our table consisted of the mixed grill, leg of lamb, shish kefta, and a falafel sandwich. The portions are generous, and everyone was very happy with their food. read more
