Cute specialty gift store on Main Street in OTN. This used to be one of my favorite unique gifts shops to purchase a special gift for a friend or indulge myself. I have a number of heartwarming gifts over the years from my daughter and husband that they purchased from here. This shop had such a great assortment in the past that it's hard to get used to their current displays and inventory. One thing is for sure, the sales clerks are very friendly and knowledgeable. The items they do offer are unique and delightful. I loved all the stuff in this store. At first I thought they didn't really want us in there but then when we went up to the register they were really kind and gave us an extra roll of yarn. I have been a fan of Ma Maison originally Madalian since 2003!!!! When it was located in Valencia! The original owners were great! They brought a lot of creative and amazing unique things to Santa Clarita in a really fun shopping environment. I have been to Ma Maison since it has moved to Newhall. The new store is quaint. This is my favorite boutique in Santa Clarita! It is located in downtown Newhall....a great little area to shop and stop for a bite to eat. The present owner has had the store for approximately 1 1/2 years. She has a beautiful store and great taste in what she purchases for the store. If you're looking for some tacky thing "blinged out", you are not going to find it here. Ha!! I have bought some gifts here but the majority of what I buy are things for myself! This boutique is perfect for finding unique gifts for friends, or for yourself! They have different lines of hand-crafted items from different local artisans. I must admit that I have spent more money on hand-made purses there than my husband realizes! Also really perfect for hostess and housewarming gifts. This is a beautiful store. I live in Newhall and needed a small bridal shower gift. I was happy find this store so close by. While I was there, I ended up finding a beautiful dress for myself at a reasonable price, as well as a cute shower gift. The young woman working there was very nice. I love this place! Ma Maison is always my go to place for unique home decor and gifts. The ladies that work there are always so friendly to both myself and my daughter! One of the very few places in town that sell Valuspa candles (which I am obsessed over) so if I'm running low on some home scents I always stop by! USE CAUTION FOR ONLINE WEB ORDERS. It is obvious from the website that the store carries beautiful unique items. I placed an order online for some angel plaques, sadly I was notified several days after my order was placed that the website was not up to date and the items I ordered were not available. The owner was very apologetic and told me that the website had been updated and to let her know if I would like to order the items currently on the site. I found two other placques that were available but the sizes were not listed at the time. I emailed the owner and asked if the items were the same size and she informed me that they were and she assured me that they would be shipped right away. I received my order within days but was disappointed to find that the placques were several inches smaller than what I was told. I contacted the store via phone and asked to have the owner contact me, the sales rep that I spoke to said they would make things right. I didn't hear anything from the owner until I emailed her again When I contacted the store owner via email, she responded that the sizes listed on the website were incorrect at the time of my order and apologized that the website was deceiving. She asked me to let her know how I wanted to proceed. Obviously I ordered the size I did because I had a certain amount of space to fill. I ultimately decided to keep the plaques but was very disappointed with my experience and that the manager made no effort to offer a store credit or refund a portion of my purchase. read more
