I would never take anything as complicated or as important as a wedding dress to this tailor. I do not use the store to altered designer clothing. I was in here recently, and they were not able to do something as simple as preserve, a zipper and snaps at the end of a pair of pants when I was having them hemmed. She said it would be too difficult? I took the pants to the tailor I use when I need quality work done.

I brought in a dress that I knew would be hard to alter. The woman working proceeded to tell me how much work it would be and that it would be expensive. I said that was OK and I expected it to be complicated. Then she told me that she was booked out two months with stuff to do. At that point I just got the hint that the work wasn't worth the trouble to her, which is fine--business owners have a right to turn work down. But the trip was ultimately a waste of time because of this so I won't be back. Plus, I'm skeptical she was actually two months behind, because what tailor shop could stay in business that way?

I dropped them off on October 21st. I didn't hear anything from the seamstress for nearly two months. So, I call her on December 12. She says that she got sick on thanksgiving and would not be able to get to them until the first of the new year, 2018. I was very taken aback at this as I gave them to her a month before thanksgiving. I'm very sorry she got sick but she needs to be way more upfront with her wait time. I called Sew It Alterations and asked if thy knew how to do military uniforms, and they said yes. I…read moretook my dress uniform in, told them what I needed, and even left them a guide with pictures. Two weeks later when I showed up to pick up my uniform, my patches were sewed on my jacket, pointed 45 degrees backwards. I told them it was wrong and asked them to fix it. Again I showed them pictures and explained how it should look. I went back a week later and it was wrong still. I took my uniform to another alterations shop, where the owner immediately noticed the issue, and removed the patches and fixed it. Do NOT use Sew It Alteration for your military uniforms!
