Good stuff! We stopped in after touring the Pitti Palace Museum. We had lunch and dessert. Three of us had pasta: - Lasagna - Spaghetti - Gnocchi One of us had a sandwich: - Calzone (meat and cheese only) We also shared a Greek Salad and Fried Calamari. For dessert, we had coffees and some sort of sweet treat. The place was air conditioned and staff was helpful.

I have Italian friends who used to come here before I was born 30 years ago, maybe more, and told me I had to stop by. Come to find out, there is new ownership and thank goodness! Many people have written badly about this place but let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and speak English, for those who do not speak Italian, and they have fun music playing in the background. I did not eat dinner, but everyone who left while I ate my fruit salad finished their plates with a smile on their face. Come check it out!

Nice display of pastries, sandwiches, pizza, and so on.

Friendly staff and attractive offerings in the display case. We just ordered a cappuccino and a cafe americano, both which were just fine.

    Rip-off!

These guys gouge tourists. They charged me €37 for three single gelato scoops. This is highway robbery.

Best gelato I had during my Italian trip. Although I didn't find exotic flavors in this shop, I like Tiramisu the best.

The fresh flaky pastries and fresh fruit with the Italian breakfast, toast and cappuccino were delightful.

One of two shops owned locally by Simone Bartolini, once manager of The Uffizi Gallery Cafe, it is inside that guests will find savories as well as sweets matched to Coffee or Wine, everything carefully crafted such that Pistachio Cornetti shatter to the tooth while Nutella Brioche is soft and springy. Offering both traditional and filled Sfogliatelle, not on par with Naples but nonetheless enjoyable, Torta di Riso fares well thanks to a delicate shell while a Ricotta Tart likens Basque Cheesecake thanks to a bit of char.

They have a dessert counter case that was amazing. We had a very nice meal here. I had the scallop appetizer as my main. It was very small-4scallops with raspberries as a garnish. It was fine for me though as I had been eating nonstop all day. They don't have a house wine(which is always the best bet in Italy) so we ordered a suggested bottle. The wine prices were higher than we are used to paying in Florence.
