My husband and I don't make a ton of money, but we clip coupons and shop secondhand and do our best to put away any extra for us to buy special things for our family. Usually we spend our savings on travel, to visit my family or take a weekend vacation. Because of COVID, our travel money was going unspent, so we decided to take the plunge and buy a pool. Pool Source had been very highly-rated. We researched reviews, and looked into the type of pools they sell, the Radiant brand. We stopped by Pool Source one weekend, and spoke to a sales rep who gave us a catalog and took us outside to show us the pools and talk about the liner. We said we would take the information home, make a decision, and follow up later. We felt very comfortable that we were making the right decision, and our money would be well-spent. I went by myself to actually order the pool, and this is when my comfort level started to drop. At this point they made it clear they don't help with installations of above ground pools, but it would be fine. They used an outside contractor all the time who would take care of everything. I paid a $1000 deposit. The salesperson told me the pool would arrive in 8-10 weeks, some delay because of COVID...understandable, and that I could get the pool in for a spring install. Perfect! We called the contractor and he was very nice, came to look at our space, and said we needed a map of the septic system. I went to the town right away to get it and sent it to him along with the specs for the pool and a copy of the building permit application. Then nothing. The contractor stopped responding and his voicemail said the number was out of service. I went back to Pool Source and asked if they could suggest another contractor. They said theirs was the ONLY one who could do it. Finally, Pool Source got in touch with him. He had shut down for the winter with no notice. Also fine, we would follow-up in spring. I reached back out to the contractor in spring to see if we could set a date. Pool Source asked for the permit, and I sent him the application. They said they needed the actual permit, which needs to be filled out by the contractor...who wasn't answering calls or emails. I tried to fill it out myself, but I didn't understand all of the information, and it required a contractor license. I spoke to the Town and they said the contractor usually fills it out. I asked Pool Source for help, and they wouldn't help me either. Then I find out they had never actually ordered the pool. They needed the permit to do that, which hadn't been expressed when I ordered it, and no one would help me with the permit. But Pool Source said, "if you can't get the permit, then we won't make you pay the balance of the pool." But what about my $1000 deposit? That may not be a lot of money to someone, but I save for weeks to get that much. At this point, I felt like I had been robbed of $1000. I passed the management of the pool install onto my husband, because it was making me sick with worry and anxiety, and I wondered if maybe they were giving me the run around because I am a woman. I was at the point if someone said the word, "pool," to me, I got a knot in my throat. What was supposed to be a fun gift for my family, turned into a source of depression and regret. After months of back and forth emails, (my husband kept them all), we finally got Pool Source to help us with the permit. Why they couldn't before, I don't know. Continued delays on their part now put our pool delivery into July...then August. A year after I had initially purchased it. We gave up on their contractor and found our own. We had everything in place to install except for the pool. Then they scheduled delivery for mid-August. We were hopeful we would get a few weeks of swimming in before season ended, and then on delivery day, they ripped the liner. They would have to re-order and it would be another 8-10 weeks. It will be two years before we get to enjoy our pool, and I won't even enjoy it. I am so disheartened by my purchase and I feel like a fool for being duped. It pains me that I had to give-up my hard-earned savings to these people. Looking back at positive reviews, I see all of the 5-star reviews are from people who got in-ground pools, so I believe the only way to get good service from them is to spend a certain dollar threshold that we just don't have. So if you're like us, and just want a simple above ground pool, please go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. Because Pool Source doesn't want your business and they don't deserve it. Please also feel free to contact me directly for the contractors we found on our own because they were amazing. I want you to have a better pool experience than I did.

The team @Pool Source is top notch. So helpful and professional. I recommend them 100%. -Jonathan.read more

We were starting out without gas at our home so we needed to line up a propane company as well as an electrician to install a plug in our fireplace to power the insert. The first sales man I talk to when I brought the door to them was great. Talk about the issues. Called to resolve how to best fix them. When the door was finally ready, I went to pick it up. And the was a different salesman at the desk. The original guy I was told was busy with another customer. So I had to deal with Kevin who proceeded to speak to me in a rude tone immediately. Told me my door was not there. Lie. I could see it sitting on a box. He was speaking to me so loud and rude I has to ask him why he was talking to me like this. other employees that were working there witness the exchange going on , and said nothing!! When I checked the door gasket it was not properly finished the two ends were not together part of the gasket was pulled down and gasket material was all flayed out. I ask the rule guy if he thought this was good work ? He starts the yell at me again and says come back in a week! And yelled at me to have a nice day!! I Forgot to get a receipt. When I asked for one Then threw it on the counter at me .Yelling at me again to have a good day.. Sorry so long winded. So I call to speak to the owner. Who called me once and I was working I missed the call I finally called when I could. His first comment was I called you twice... me ok I don't see that on my phone. Anyway he said he spoke to his employees. they said they they heard the both of us yelling ". Me) really !! I'm the customer. I only Came to get my door you've had for 31/2 weeks As for his employee the owners comment was " I don't know what his problem was " Me) oh so that's ok with you! The the owner said that before I came in that day, A family with a special needs child must have touched the gasket and had routined my gasket. Me ) really your blaming a " special needs child " me unbelievable " To conclude that ridicules episode the owner said he would deliver the door to my house and how was I going to pay the $100 repair! Me really you want me to pay for being verbal being harassed at your place of business. ( Him oh ok) same shitty attitude . The own did deliver it. They have a bad rating on yelp . Which he argued about too! My answer is him is that he has clearly been overrated. WTF I only went to get a simple gasket fixed

They advertise the cs6 hot cold tub on the phone and this is the one I purchased. It has been a nightmare ! They are a retailer for leisure products in Johnson city , tn who is a very shady and dishonest company. I am actually having to sue them. I would do a lot of research before buying a hot tub and these guys supposedly make everything here in the USA but I just got done disconnecting the cold side from the hot side because all I have had issues with the cold side. Of course lpi always says it is my gfci which it isn't because after I disconnected the cold side it runs fine. They just will not stand by their products or their warranty's so do not buy from lpi do the research. Nordic spas etc are good reliable products. On a positive note I am basically a spa technician now from dealing with this spa which I paid 8200 dollars for new and dumped another two grand in repairs and it still doesn't work. Carey is a solid person but his retailers are not so maybe you see if he sells anything besides lpi products. Good luck !

However the issues started when we got home later in the day We signed nothing in the store when we said we wanted to purchase, which I found odd at the time. Cary kept saying you should finance because it's zero % interest, which we where going to pay on debt card, he talked us out of it- I should have known if it's too good to be true it is. When I got the email from wells Fargo it said double the price of the in store ticket cost... I clearly didn't sign the internet form and called Cary the next day... He then told me about how 9299 is just the base hot tub with no add ons and that's the cash price ... NONE of this was explained in store... Cary told us multiple times the hot tub comes with everything on the ticket for 9299.00 .... Come to find out there is a different price for financing.... Please ask more questions then we did when you go to buy from them......
