So much fun and so much laughing. I can't wait for another. They have experienced actors and occasionally some new members. They take lots of from topics from the audience. They do serious scenes in which actors take turns doing a serious scene and whenever the audience laughs they get tapped out. They do a scene where everyone is a character and one actor that has bee out of the room has to guess them all at a party. They often end with "sex with me is like ...." And the audience gives out the ideas. This is hilarious.

Now, I have to be honest, both of the events were ones that were charity and fundraising events in the room right next door and everyone had to head out to get their beverage so, I was not in the main room watching sports on one of the many televisions with sports riddled across all of the screens. There is a neat view of the gymnasium type of area right below and near the windows to partake in some live sports action with kids and adults alike. If they were to invest in marketing this place and really making sure that the staff was super friendly and wanted to make this the PLACE TO BE, then they could easily make this a prime place to go for sports bars in the area (we lack in a lot of effective ones in this genre). Our server, Carly, told us they only have one glass so we took that literally and assumed the rest of the small glasses were dirty. The second customer asked to have the .3L pour served in a regular glass. She said that was doable. When we got the check, we were each charged $8.00. We questioned Carly and she again said they only had one glass. Apparently she meant only one size pour but that's not what she said or what is on the menu. Getting into the theater was attacked tricky as there was a lot of road construction happening nearby and the sidewalk was partially closed. I found on street parking just two blocks away. Upon entering, everything was easy to locate, bar, merch counter, bathrooms. They even had big water thermoses and paper cups if you didn't want to buy a drink. There were ushers floating around, so I had no problem finding my seat. I did explore up to the upper level and was surprised there wasn't any real lighting in that staircase. After the concert, exiting is a little crowded. Being an old building, the doors are fairly narrow. Overall, it was a nice evening and I will definitely go back!

The Ogunquit Playhouse is one of the original "summer stock" theaters and has produced countless musicals. My friends and I planned a quick road trip to see some of our favorite actors in Hello Dolly... all aspects of the production were incredible ... actors, musicians, sets, costumes, etc. Can't wait to come back! This is a great little venue that is now a family must "go to" when we make our annual trip to the area. As an added bonus, you meet the friendliest people. This year after the show, our car battery died and we were stuck in the parking lot. Without asking, the staff at the theatre volunteered if they could help as well as at least four cars. Not something I am used to where I come from. Looking forward to the 2014 season.
