I feel that this is the kind of place that has some crazy good potential but just doesnt meet the…read moremark right now. The two times that I have been here, I wanted to see if there were any improvements since the old Jokers is gone from here but the experience was very similar both times. The service is just ok where the staff looked like they were more interested in mingling and hanging out rather than being on top of the patrons that are looking to partake in a beer or cocktail. Now, I have to be honest, both of the events were ones that were charity and fundraising events in the room right next door and everyone had to head out to get their beverage so, I was not in the main room watching sports on one of the many televisions with sports riddled across all of the screens. There is a neat view of the gymnasium type of area right below and near the windows to partake in some live sports action with kids and adults alike. If they were to invest in marketing this place and really making sure that the staff was super friendly and wanted to make this the PLACE TO BE, then they could easily make this a prime place to go for sports bars in the area (we lack in a lot of effective ones in this genre). I will probably head back over here after some Home Depot shopping or something and then I will see how it is on a day where we are looking to do some sports and some fun.

There were three comedians the first was not very funny, the second was good and the third was good. The venue is less than stellar, just not very nice. It has a lot of potential someone would want to put the money into it. The restaurant part smells like a brewery and the food is not great but it's something to do.

My wife and I recently went to our first show at Blue the other night. Had never really known it…read morewas a spot prior to this concert. It was an album release party for local pop-punk/emo band Broadwing. The card featured other local bands as well as a New England DJ. I know now that some shows at Blue are free or minimal cover which is great. Tickets for this show ended up being $12 which is a great value for a concert/night out. Hard to find tickets that cheap nowadays. The person working the door was friendly and had our name already so didn't even need to pull the tickets up. Bartenders were friendly and the drinks were well made. I especially liked their spicy cocktail Bing Bong which had the perfect kick to it! Prices were reasonable for drinks as well. Venue is on the small side as expected but had a great vibe for intimate smaller shows. Even with a sold-out show it was not overpacked. The acoustics and sound were good for a smaller venue as well. If you love smaller concerts I would recommend checking out their event schedule to see if something piques your interest. Also if you are a fan of pop punk music then do yourself a favor and check out Broadwing (especially their song New England Baby)! Very down to earth friendly band!

If I don't, there is NO current reliable information on who's scheduled. Pathetic and unreliable. I'm not doing it. I've enjoyed many evenings there, but the basic management of the venue is a joke. It will be a shame when it closes. What acts are scheduled for the NEXT WEEK? How difficult is that to maintain? Apparently, it's not possible.

Restrooms are outside just a short walk from main entrance. Ticket booth center of building on the outside, single window so plan accordingly. There was only one person ahead of me on arrival about 20 minutes prior to the show to pick up my ticket. Very friendly staff, quickly directed to my seat with ease. Seats are a little aged, but this is also a historic place to enjoy shows. Had clear stage with single level angled seating arrangement. Concessions had a good little variety of drinks and snacks to choose from (no cash, card only). Glad I was able to catch a show in this historic venue!

I wouldn't expect such a small theater to have Broadway shows, but it seems this had developed as…read morean important theater where many famous actors have performed. Because it's an older theater, their solution to a smaller parking lot is to have everyone park in a long row, and they make you pull up so that you're bumper to bumper. If the cars in front of you hustle to the parking lot, it's fine. If they don't, you're stuck until they show up as the cars park so close you can't even get out. I don't love that, but there is nowhere else around to park nearby. The lobby is pretty small and gets very crowded before the doors open. There are snacks and souvenirs for purchase. They don't have a bag check, so I brought my own water, which was great. The theater itself is small and cozy, so most seats will have a good view. I saw Come from Away and was definitely seated closer and more affordably than I could have been in a NYC venue. The performers were all very talented - this isn't just some locals who got on stage. The warned many, many times there was no intermission, and they wouldn't let you back in if you needed to use the restroom, which seemed a bit extreme. There were a lot of other good shows in the upcoming season, so if you are from nearby or staying in the area, it's worth checking out what's on stage. It's a good experience at a good price.
