We came in for my wifes scar cover up tatto consultation. Mike was super helpfull and we spent a long time just discussing possibilities and any concerns that we had. Mike was very upfront about benefits and risks, and preseneted a number of possibilites. My wife had the tattoo done there a month later, and is loving the work. This shop by far beat out its largest competitors in the area. The experience I had from the moment I walked in the door is something I did not get from the other shops I visited that day. I shop for a tattoo like I would anything that is important to me as it is permanent. The first shop I went in to barely spoke to me 10 Min about my two large tattoo investments. That shop is a very well known and reputable company. Another shop just flat out didn't show interest in my tattoo work I wanted. I was met by I believe Jamie at the front. She was courteous and approached me quickly with zero wait. She then referred me to the artist Sancho. Not only did he sit down with me and go over possible designs he didn't do it 10 Min or less. He actually cared about what I wanted and was happy to take the job. We sat for nearly an hour putting together our collaboration. It turned out amazing!!! I will be back and I will refer anyone that asks me where to go to get a tattoo. The shop was clean and organized and very inviting all while not being too big of a place that you get lost or become a number. The location is very convenient with lots of parking. In September, I was looking for a place to get my 6-year-old daughter's ears pierced in a quick turnaround time. I tried a few other places in Longmont, and they were either closed, had waivers I needed to complete, or bring in birth certificates (other tattoo artists) or didn't have availability, or just didn't feel right. When I spoke with Julie on the phone, she was friendly and professional, and when we went to Main Street Tattoo it was a wonderful friendly, laidback environment that put me and my daughter at ease. This place was great. I am in a wheelchair and they are not wheelchair accessible. 2 guys came out and lifted me up the couple of stairs they do have. When we left, they did the same for us. It was wonderful! This was my first tattoo. Mike was very patient and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I could take as many breaks as I needed he said. I was really excited to get my Autism awareness tattoo. Mike, whom I scheduled it with, first argued with me on the location (he refused to place it on my foot as it would 'rub off'). I placed it on my shoulder instead per his forceful suggestion. He drew the design which was AWESOME, but than proceeded to argue with me over the size. I once again went with his suggestion, and then he screwed up HORRIBLY on the line work, which he admitted to. And I paid $70 for it (it's rather small and just linework). read more

First off, I just want to day, this place is great! I went today to get an ear piercing that I was unsure about at first. But I called the day before to ask a few questions and the customer service was fantastic! After calling around to a few different places, Main Street was definitely the most helpful! When I got there this morning, they answered a few more questions for me and had me feel very comfortable, not only about the process of the piercing, but also the healing process and the care. It doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would as they were as gentle as they could be; considering there was a needle envolved. The knowledge they had about different situations was awesome. They had to put my earring in a little differently as my ear is shaped a little different than normal. The fact that they knew exactly what to do, made me feel like they were taking time to make sure they were doing the process correctly and as gently as they could. I would highly recommend going here especially for piercings. (As I did not get a tattoo.) The customer service, care, and knowledge was exceptional! read more

My DIL and I took my 8 month old granddaughter here to have her ears pierced. First, the place is very clean. Sterlization of all equipment and the earrings we brought with us was top priority. The people who work there are fun and engaging which made for a wonderful experience. Julie was extremely patient and explained what she was or would be doing every step of the way. Needless to say the baby wasn't totally on board with having her ears pierced but we got through it and Julie being the pro that she is managed to pierce the baby's ears perfectly. Was very taken aback stepping in here. Though I know tattoo parlors are supposed to reflect a bit of a "hardened" culture inside because of the nature of the industry, I felt the environment went a little far. I was greeted gruffly when I opened the door to the shop (if I could call it a greeting), and after I wasn't helped for more than ten minutes I finally decided to leave. I think they are taking the "hardcore" culture a little too seriously at this shop, which is too bad because it's a great location and the artists seem to have potential (their portfolios could use some TLC because the books look uncared for). read more

About a week ago, I got my ear pierced here during their $20 piercing sale, and all was fairly normal until yesterday, about five days later. My ear was hurting and I thought it was just the average "new piercing" hurt, until it started swelling up to the size of an orange. Long story short, I ended up going to the ER and now I have to take 6 antibiotic pills a day. Everybody who treated me at the ER agreed that they had to have used dirty/non-sterilized tools. Went in for my second tattoo with Santos. The place is SO clean and a great environment. The people who do the tattoo art are professional and a gift to their trade. Santos was extremely detailed in the art I had done and took the time to explain and go over it prior to starting. I will go back most likely for many more and would trust anyone in the shop... they are THAT good! Do NOT go here. The guy who screwed up my piercing was rude from the second I walked in. Poor attitude, short, unprofessional. He placed a dot where he was to pierce-- then pierced very far from the dot. WRONG place. When I got up to look at it, he ordered me to "sit down." He then proceeded to blame me, saying I had "moved." Then he said it was because it was my fault for choosing the jewelry I chose. Went in for a consult at Main St Tattoo which went ok. The guy seemed competent and told me he was 'wide open' to get me in. Gave me his email and asked for pictures to do some sketches and then we would schedule the appointment. After sending the pics with a few other follow up questions I forgot to ask in person I got no reply. Guessed he was working on it and I didn't want to be too pushy. Almost two weeks later I still hadn't heard anything so I reached out again. Nicely said I was anxious to get it started and wondered if he had any sketches I could look at. No response. Reached out again a few days later to say I wasn't waiting anymore. I would have been happy with a "piss off. I'm busy...", but I got literally nothing. For a guy that's 'wide open' that's pretty low. Oh yeah, and I flew family in to help with my kids to get the work done... guess I'm out that money. Thanks Main St Tattoo... for what? Stevie: Stevie has been tattooing me since the day she started tattooing. I have her first piece on me as well as about 15 or more pieces.
