The triple digit cost per yard quickly had me circling to the more budget-friendly line of fabrics that were also beautiful. I spent some time looking at the books and listening to the employees help the other customers make fabric decisions. I was impressed with how well they were able to offer suggestions and assist in the decision making. CC is a type of store that will overwhelm you with options, but there's a friendly face to help you every step of the way.

Today, a friend of mine wanted to refill the tanks on his portable house for an upcoming trip to Upnorth. He usually has the tanks filled at his regular campground but that's not his destination. He was headed to a different vendor was across the next county. I suggested Boehlke Bottled Gas instead so off we went. We checked in at the office and were directed to the dock, right next to the giant tank that also acts as a billboard on Wisconsin 60. A friendly technician met us and measured the remaining gas in the tanks. We found out the tanks needed to be certified, which was handled as they were refilled. Topped off, actually. Quickly, efficiently and for a nominal fee. Whatever your need is for propane gas, grills, tanks, lines, valves, accessories and of course, propane, Boehlke can meet your needs. Give 'em a call.

We had been in discussions with this dealership to trade in our used bass boat (motor and trailer included, fully operable). After going back and forth remotely on trade-in value -- sharing photos they raised no questions or concerns about -- we agreed on a price. We then visited the dealership twice in person to make sure the boat and the deal were the right fit for our family. On what was supposed to be our final visit to close the deal, we signed an agreement based on the value we'd settled on and filled out a credit application to finance the remaining balance. The dealership ran a hard credit pull that same evening. Only afterward did we find out the deal wouldn't actually close that day -- we'd need to make the long drive back out a second time, despite the dealership knowing how far we'd already traveled to get this done. The next morning, we learned our boat's value had been cut by more than half. Their inspection nitpicked ordinary wear on a 20-year-old boat to justify gutting the trade-in price -- after they'd already seen the photos, already had our signatures, and already pulled our credit. To be clear about the order of events: they ran our credit after we signed based on one agreed number, then tried to push us into financing significantly more after the fact. That's not a legitimate inspection process -- that's a bait-and-switch. When we raised concerns, the sales manager was dismissive, with the kind of sleazy, high-pressure sales attitude that confirmed we'd made the right call walking away. The GM tried to get ahold of the situation but you could tell he didn't want to deal with this headache on a Friday. Lessons learned: get every valuation in writing, don't sign anything until the trade-in number is truly final, and don't let anyone pull your credit until you're sure the deal is real. We won't be buying our next boat here, and I'd encourage other families to think carefully before doing business with this dealership.

But in summary, Roskopfs backs their product like no other, even years after purchase. My family and I purchased our first RV in 2019 from Roskopf's, acting on the many recommendations that I received. Roskopf's advertises themselves as the value leader, and I believe that sums up our experience with them perfectly. Working with both Corey and Gary Roskopf was a comfortable no pressure experience. They are extremely knowledgeable, honest, and forthcoming. I left the dealership feeling strongly that I made the right decision to buy with them given their reputation, built over several decades, for backing the products they sell. As far as price is concerned, I've been known to hop on a plane to another state to purchase an vehicle to save $$. Fortunately Roskopf's price was very competitive. That said if places like camping world was several thousands cheaper, in hindsight I would still choose Roskopfs. Because I know when something goes wrong it'll end up costing more in the long run because you'll end up being out of pocket for the repairs and/or missing a trip (and likely deposit $$) due to long repair lead times. Since 2019 we've driven our RV across the country twice and up and down Wisconsin dozens of times visiting state parks. There have been manufacturing related issues from poor seals to under manufactured frame components. Each time, Brian and his service team was there to save the day. And with the all the miles driven and family memories cultivated, these issues never once kept us from our travels and/or put a dent in our pocketbook.
